GTB Chapter 26
by VolareChapter 26: There’s Another One
Jiang Jiuchu quickly turned her head away when she saw the man start to undress.
She couldn’t bother to think about why she had been kidnapped here, and slowly sat up, propping herself up with her arms.
After quickly scanning the cave, her gaze turned again to the bed opposite her. With just one glance, she recognized the girl in front of her as the one she had seen in the peach forest at noon, the girl in green.
She hadn’t expected her to be captured here as well. Watching the man straddle her and impatiently tear at her clothes, while hers were almost completely removed.
She knew that her fate would be the same as this girl’s, and she couldn’t just sit and wait for death.
Thinking this, Jiang Jiuchu quietly raised her hands, which were tied in front of her, and quickly pulled out the peach blossom hairpin from her hair bun.
Just as the man took off his clothes and leaned down, she immediately raised the hairpin in her hand, aimed it at the man’s head, pursed her lips, and struggled to control her trembling hand, forcefully pressing down.
Instantly, the man’s movements suddenly stopped. He immediately raised his hand to cover his head, his brow furrowed in pain.
Seeing this, Jiang Jiuchu quickly stuffed the hairpin back into her sleeve, looking at the man who hadn’t immediately fallen with shock, her small face a little flustered.
Yu Qin, while struggling to turn her head, had long noticed Jiang Jiuchu’s movements, but she never expected it to be a hidden weapon. And she, finally, at the last step before despair, had been rescued.
The black-clothed man held his head with both hands, looking at Jiang Jiuchu, his voice filled with furious killing intent, “It’s you, you dared to attack me!”
As he spoke, he got off Yu Qin and staggered towards Jiang Jiuchu.
Jiang Jiuchu watched the man slowly approach, helplessly moving backwards, shaking her head in terror, denying, “No… it wasn’t me, it wasn’t me.”
She shook her head while moving backwards, completely unprepared that a silver needle to the brain wouldn’t be fatal.
Each step the man took seemed to slow down in Jiang Jiuchu’s pupils, giving her a desperate feeling that her life was about to end.
However, just as the man reached her bed and bent down to drag her out, his expression twisted, and he suddenly collapsed to the ground, convulsing uncontrollably.
Jiang Jiuchu and Yu Qin looked at the fallen man in shock, exchanging glances and seeing hope in each other’s eyes.
Although Yu Qin’s hands were tied behind her back, her feet weren’t. She quickly propped herself up and got off the bed, wanting to go to the opposite side to have Jiang Jiuchu untie her ropes.
However, as her feet touched the ground, she suddenly lost her balance and fell, her arm landing directly on the shards of the broken teacup, and blood flowed out instantly.
Jiang Jiuchu looked at the scantily clad, disheveled girl, especially the blood gushing from her arm, her voice unconsciously tinged with crying,
“Sister, slow down, don’t rush, he…” As she spoke, she glanced at the man still convulsing in pain on the ground, and continued, “He shouldn’t be getting up, slow down.”
Yu Qin endured the pain and stood up, walking to Jiang Jiuchu, turning her back, “Quickly help me untie it, he has another brother, he’ll probably be back soon, we have to leave quickly.”
Jiang Jiuchu’s eyes widened suddenly when she heard that there was still another person.
She didn’t dare delay for a moment, quickly raising her bound hands, laboriously helping Yu Qin untie the ropes.
After Yu Qin was untied, she quickly turned around to help Jiang Jiuchu untie the ropes on her hands, saying, “Untie the ones on your feet yourself.”
As she spoke, she quickly put on her torn clothes. Fortunately, it was spring, and although her outer garment was damaged, her inner garment was still intact.
After Jiang Jiuchu untied the ropes on her feet, she looked at Yu Qin’s arm and quickly took out the handkerchief from her body, saying, “Sister, your cut is too deep, let me bandage it for you.”
“Okay.” Yu Qin tidied up her clothes, quickly pulled up her sleeves, and stretched out her injured arm, thinking that it wouldn’t be good if the other person followed her bloodstains to find them after he returned.
After Jiang Jiuchu bandaged Yu Qin’s wound, the two looked at the man on the ground who had stopped convulsing, and quickly ran outside.
After exiting the cave, they looked at the mountain paths in front of them and couldn’t distinguish the way out for a while, so they had to randomly choose a direction and run west.
In the forest, the setting sun shone on the two, radiating a faint red light, but it didn’t bring them good luck.
After the two ran for a while, Yu Qin saw a flash of white in the distance, and immediately stopped, her expression changing, “Not good, that person is back.”
Hearing this, Jiang Jiuchu looked into the distance, and a flash of white was flying towards them.
She immediately pulled Yu Qin to a bush on the side and crouched down, asking in a low voice uncertainly, “Did… did he find us?”
Yu Qin shook her head, she didn’t know if that person had found them, after all, the distance was very far, and they wouldn’t have been able to see him if he wasn’t leaping through the air.
Jiang Jiuchu pointed to a thorny path on the side to Yu Qin, and then took the lead in bending down and walking into it.
On the other side, Song Fuge led a few people all the way to the border of another mountain, and could no longer see any trace of the white figure.
He, who was always calm and composed, clenched his fists tightly, the bulging veins exposing the suppressed emotions he was feeling at the moment.
He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself down, recalling the scene of the chase all the way.
The fifteen who initially chased after him hadn’t caught up. According to reason, when he arrived, that person should have run even further away, so why would they have allowed them to discover his figure.
Thinking of this, his eyes suddenly opened, and he immediately said to the others, “Quick, return to the location where we found him before, and continue searching east.”
Hearing this, the others immediately understood that they had fallen for a feint, and quickly followed Song Fuge back the way they came.
Jiang Jiuchu and Yu Qin on this side kept bending over, walking on a narrow path overgrown with twigs and vines, not daring to straighten up, for fear of being discovered.
However, the thorny path, which had no one walking on it for many years, was overgrown with shrubs and thorns, which occasionally scratched the two of them. After walking only a short distance, Jiang Jiuchu’s hair was already disheveled, and her pink dress was even more scratched out of shape.
Yu Qin, who was following behind Jiang Jiuchu, was better off, but because of everything that had happened before, she looked equally disheveled.
At this time, the white-clothed man was standing in the place where the two had previously discovered him, scanning his surroundings. After not finding any trace of the two, he immediately flew to a large tree and looked around at the surroundings in the distance.
The white-clothed man stood on the big tree, observing the surroundings below while secretly wondering, not understanding how these two women could have escaped with his elder brother there.
Suddenly, his gaze fell on the swaying thin bamboo bushes in the distance, his eyes narrowed slightly, and he immediately flew forward.
Jiang Jiuchu was bending over, looking down, using her hands to pull apart the thin bamboo branches in front of her, but suddenly found a white figure standing in front of her.
Her expression was shocked, and she immediately looked up, it was him, so it turned out that she had been captured by him.
The white-clothed man leisurely looked at Jiang Jiuchu in front of him, with a playful look on his face.
“Where are you going? My little beauty.”
