    Chapter 54: Let’s Get Married

In the dimly lit underground parking lot, Lin Sui’s eyes shone like the sun, bright and piercing. He nodded to himself, repeatedly murmuring, “I need to make big money, take Gu Nian out to play, to the grasslands!”

He was clearly still drunk, but his tone was so firm.

Gu Nian was momentarily speechless, his eyes stinging. After a long while, he finally spoke, his voice so hoarse that it was unrecognizable.

“Okay,” he said, “We’ll go to the grasslands together in the future.”

Lin Sui’s eyes widened, gazing earnestly at Gu Nian, as if he had finally recognized him. He nodded very seriously, “Okay, together!”

Gu Nian’s heart melted. Forgetting the driver who was waiting, he pulled Lin Sui’s neck and exchanged a kiss.

Lin Sui’s thoughts jumped erratically when drunk, but at times like this, he was very well-behaved and passionate. He opened his lips, actively welcoming Gu Nian’s invasion, and, unlike usual, he didn’t close his eyes. Instead, he stared unblinkingly into Gu Nian’s eyes, filled with joy.

Gu Nian loved it when Lin Sui looked at him like this. He couldn’t help but deepen the kiss, the alcohol stripping away his usual restraint. After a long while of kissing, Gu Nian finally calmed down and coaxed Lin Sui into the car.

    “Let’s go.”

Gu Nian spoke calmly, but his eyes still held a satisfied look, leaning back in the seat with a languid air.

    “Yes.”

The driver didn’t dare to look, stepping on the gas and speeding onto the road, heading towards the villa district.

It was nearly midnight, and the traffic was much better. Half an hour later, Gu Nian was already holding Lin Sui’s hand in the entryway, bending down to change his slippers.

The drunk Lin Sui was very obedient, lifting his left foot when asked, and readily offering his hand to be held. His docility made Gu Nian smile, and he felt a strong urge to take out his phone and record it.

Gu Nian used to think Jiang Sheng’s two gigabytes of photos and videos of his partner were too love-struck, but now, he suddenly thought being love-struck wasn’t so bad.

Gu Nian led Lin Sui to the second floor, and as usual, they separated to return to their own rooms. But as he opened his door, he suddenly noticed a shadow behind him that didn’t belong to him. He turned around and, sure enough, Lin Sui was standing there.

The quiet young man stood in the shadows of the hallway, his eyes sparkling like a cat waiting for an opportunity to pounce.

Gu Nian was taken aback. “Not going to sleep?”

“Sleep,” Lin Sui nodded, his amber pupils continuing to stare at Gu Nian.

Gu Nian was slightly puzzled. A thought suddenly popped into his head. His prominent Adam’s apple bobbed. He softly asked, “Want to come in?”

As he said these words, he didn’t even realize how nervous he was.

He wanted to hear the answer, but he was also afraid of it.

But Lin Sui never seemed to disappoint him.

Lin Sui nodded even more enthusiastically, striding over to grab Gu Nian’s hand, his eyes curving into a smile. “Want to be in the same room!”

Gu Nian was thrilled, unable to resist a sigh. He thought, alcohol is truly a wonderful thing.

The drunk Lin Sui was so proactive, so passionate, and so overwhelming.

The door closed, and Lin Sui was led by Gu Nian to sit on the bed.

Lin Sui curiously looked around the room, muttering something.

Gu Nian leaned closer to hear clearly. It turned out that Lin Sui was saying his room was too bleak and needed some decorations.

And also, to buy couple pillows.

He said this very softly, but Gu Nian still heard it.

He silently added this to his agenda: buy a whole set of couple’s daily necessities.

After Lin Sui finished muttering about the things he wanted to buy, his gaze returned to Gu Nian, as if he couldn’t get enough of looking at him. Gu Nian became a little flushed and turned to go to the bathroom to take a shower.

The moment he moved to leave, Lin Sui grabbed his wrist.

“What’s wrong?” Gu Nian quickly turned around, asking gently.

“Don’t want, alone,” Lin Sui pouted, shaking his legs unhappily. “Want together.”

Gu Nian didn’t expect the drunk Lin Sui to be so clingy, and he felt troubled.

“I’m going to take a shower, I’ll be back in ten minutes.”

    “No.”

“Then I won’t lock the door, you can wait outside, okay? If you need anything, call me, and I’ll definitely come out.”

    “No.”

No matter what Gu Nian said, Lin Sui was determined to refuse, seemingly determined to be a pair of Siamese twins with Gu Nian.

Gu Nian had a headache. If it were normal circumstances, he wouldn’t bother showering, but today he had too much perfume on him. If he didn’t shower, Gu Nian wouldn’t be able to sleep well tonight.

It seemed that the drunk Lin Sui was not only passionate but also stubborn. He would probably have to achieve his goal today.

He had no choice but to compromise: “Then what do you want to do?”

Lin Sui was very firm, still those two words, “Together.”

    Together what? Showering?

Gu Nian was startled by Lin Sui’s words, and this time, it was his turn to say no.

    “Why?” Lin Sui became aggrieved.

Gu Nian was silent for a moment, not answering.

The reason he couldn’t do it wasn’t because he was unwilling, but because even now, he still didn’t want Lin Sui to see his crippled legs in a pathetic and helpless state.

Lin Sui sensed a lost feeling from this silence and subconsciously avoided the topic, changing his words: “Or, you can do something else with me.”

He thought of something, and his eyes suddenly lit up, “Let’s play the piano together, post a video, and show affection!”

He had learned the phrase “show affection” recently during his live streams.

Gu Nian was stunned, seemingly not understanding. But Lin Sui couldn’t wait any longer, directly pushing Gu Nian towards the elevator.

Open the door, press the third floor, close.

Two seconds later, with a ding, they arrived.

Lin Sui couldn’t even wait for the elevator to open automatically, forcefully pressing the open button. As soon as the elevator was wide enough to pass through, he rushed out, heading straight for his favorite music room.

He ran too fast, stirring up a cool breeze. Lin Sui was actually still drunk, his consciousness not very clear, his mind dizzy, only able to retain one or two things. And now, his mind was full of – playing the piano with Gu Nian!

A drunk person doesn’t care about logic. Lin Sui pushed Gu Nian to the piano, and he sat heavily on the piano stool, panting. He skillfully took out a thick stack of sheet music, and after a rustling sound, stopped at one particular page.

“Play this!” Lin Sui placed the sheet music between them, brooking no refusal.

Gu Nian took a closer look, and it turned out to be – “Mariage D’amour” (Wedding in Dream).

Anyone who has ever learned to play the piano will be familiar with this piece. It’s one of the most common practice pieces. Many people have had the experience of playing “Mariage D’amour” until they wanted to vomit. Gu Nian had only played it a few times when he first started learning, and never played it again after that.

He himself didn’t like this somewhat overly illusory piece, but perhaps because his mood was different now, with the person he loved sitting beside him, he could suddenly feel the charm of this piece.

“Wedding in Dream,” was this also Lin Sui’s wish?

Their wedding was indeed ridiculously hasty, but Gu Nian never knew that Lin Sui actually cared so much about it in his heart.

As Gu Nian was pondering, Lin Sui had already set up his phone. Unlike usual, he didn’t carefully adjust the angle. Lin Sui only made sure that the lens could cover both of them before directly pressing the start recording button.

Lin Sui retreated slightly, and the lens gradually focused, and the surrounding environment gradually became clearer. He didn’t say anything, but directly pressed the keys. Gu Nian came back to his senses and joined in with his rhythm.

Even though it was the first time they collaborated, there was a strange sense of understanding. Their four-hand duet had no mistakes or conflicts, as free as if it were one person.

When they reached the climax, Lin Sui suddenly shifted his gaze away from the sheet music. He looked at Gu Nian’s focused profile, and his hands momentarily paused. Gu Nian perfectly covered up this mistake, and at the same time, looked at Lin Sui.

It was that one glance, as if it were destined, that he saw the mouth shape he would have otherwise missed.

Lin Sui’s full lips parted slightly, silently uttering a few words.

In that instant, everything around him seemed to fade away. Gu Nian could no longer hear the sound of the piano, his eyes filled with Lin Sui’s figure.

He had never learned lip reading, but he immediately understood the meaning of that mouth shape.

Lin Sui had just said to him: “Let’s get married.”

Naturally, Gu Nian knew that this sentence was not referring to their wedding, which was filled with trading of benefits, suspicion and speculation.

This sentence could also be phrased in another way.

Lin Sui was saying to him.

Let’s be together forever and ever.

Gu Nian’s fingers, which had been rising and falling perfectly on the keys, suddenly made a mistake. The originally beautiful piece of music had an extra touch of primitive recklessness because of this mistake, like a wild beast just emerging from the forest, full of wildness and pure charm.

The music stopped abruptly at this moment.

Gu Nian could no longer continue playing, just as he could no longer restrain the emotions surging in his heart. He hugged Lin Sui tightly, so tightly that he wanted to sink him into his bones, pressing Lin Sui’s head and kissing him almost frantically.

Lin Sui seemed to be ignited by this feeling, proactively wrapping his arms around Gu Nian’s neck, extending his tongue and responding passionately.

The sound of wet kisses filled the room. Lin Sui’s brain was oxygen-deprived from being kissed so much, and his already hazy head lost its ability to judge even further. He only managed to grab his phone before Gu Nian carried him back to the room.

Having moved to a more private environment, desire also escalated. Gu Nian had Lin Sui straddle his lap, pressing his back against the wall to kiss him. Lin Sui was overwhelmed by this increasingly unrestrained offensive and could only let Gu Nian have his way.

He didn’t know how long had passed before Gu Nian calmed down a bit. He pulled away from Lin Sui, and the impulse he had managed to suppress almost took over again.

Lin Sui was sitting disheveled on his lap, his hands weakly resting on his shoulders, like a broken rag doll. He was clearly dazed, but he still stubbornly looked at the person who had made him like this with joyful eyes.

His eyes seemed to be saying: No matter what you’re like, I will always be with you.

For people in love, there is nothing more anticipated than the word “forever,” and even Gu Nian could not escape this cliché.

He really, really wanted to kiss Lin Sui again, but it was very late, and he saw that Lin Sui was already nodding off, only staying awake out of excitement.

Gu Nian endured the beast that had just gained a moment of freedom, placing Lin Sui on the bed and immediately turning to go to the bathroom, not daring to look any longer.

Lin Sui sat blankly on the bed for a while, seemingly suddenly remembering something. He slowly took out the phone he had hastily brought back, skillfully clicked the upload video button, selected the latest video, without adding any text, and directly clicked upload.

After seeing the words “100% uploaded,” Lin Sui breathed a sigh of relief, as if he had finally accomplished a major task. He turned off his phone with satisfaction, crawled into the quilt, and quickly fell asleep.

He slept soundly, and his dreams were sweet, but online, a storm had already been stirred up because of this late-night video.
