    Chapter 12: Tree Hole Failure

Lin Sui’s own thoughts made his face flush red, and he secretly cursed himself for being so narcissistic.

The most important thing, his face, was fine, but he still needed to think of a talent. Lin Sui turned over, biting his lip in frustration.

Although he hadn’t spent much time in school in his previous life, he had learned quite a few miscellaneous skills. He had intermittently learned several musical instruments, which he was fairly competent at, but he didn’t know if they had any of those things here.

If not, he might really have to go to a construction site to move bricks and save money before even thinking about becoming an internet celebrity.

Lin Sui sighed worriedly, thought about it, and decided to go out and look around.

The villa had three floors. The first floor was the living room and dining room, and the second floor was the bedrooms and study. Lin Sui went straight to the third floor and saw a total of four rooms. The innermost one was locked, and one of the other three was a utility room.

Lin Sui dejectedly pushed open the third door. He had already given up hope, but when he saw the facilities inside, he couldn’t help but be amazed again.

A whole room full of musical instruments!

Lin Sui walked in, his little head turning, unable to take it all in.

Besides the usual piano and guitar, there were even some less common flutes and tubas. Lin Sui even saw a triangle in the corner.

Did Gu Nian use all of these?

Lin Sui touched the dust-covered piano, imagining Gu Nian playing the piano, wearing an elegant tailcoat, surely both excellent and handsome.

He also remembered the description of Gu Nian after he recovered his health in the book, one part of which was him playing the piano for the protagonist shou. When Lin Sui saw that, he thought it was very beautiful and gorgeous. Through the words, he seemed to see that spirited Gu Nian, making people want to look up to and admire him.

In Lin Sui’s boring and monotonous life, Gu Nian had been a beautiful fantasy that he could only hope for but never reach.

And now, he had miraculously received a gift, a healthy body, so Lin Sui also hoped that Gu Nian could get better soon, not only because he could then escape the plot and fulfill his dreams.

Anyone who had seen Gu Nian at his peak, even if it was only through a few words, would not want such a radiant man to end up with a dim and lackluster ending.

Thinking like this, Lin Sui was even more determined to take good care of Gu Nian.

Lin Sui trotted down the stairs. As soon as he reached the second floor, he saw Gu Nian frowning in front of his door, looking somewhat conflicted.

Huh, why did Gu Nian suddenly come looking for him?

Lin Sui tilted his head in confusion, suddenly thought of something, and widened his eyes, covering his mouth in surprise.

Oh my god, could it be that Gu Nian was here to confide in him? That made sense, he had just digested his emotions and was vulnerable and in need of someone to listen and comfort him.

He must be looking conflicted because he was embarrassed to speak. Lin Sui automatically finished the explanation and solemnly accepted this important task, bouncing over, his soft voice full of joy.

“Gu Nian, what do you need me for?”

Lin Sui walked to the wheelchair in two or three steps, his eyes full of expectation.

Gu Nian looked at him a little stiffly, seemingly surprised that he wasn’t in his room. After thinking for a while, he realized that he had to say it sooner or later, so he said, “Accompany me to Jing’an Temple tomorrow.”

Lin Sui also looked surprised, his mind racing, and he quickly remembered Jing’an Temple.

Speaking of which, a big reason why he married Gu Nian was because of this Jing’an Temple.

Gu Nian’s grandfather had also been diagnosed with a terminal illness not long after Gu Nian’s accident. A monk from Jing’an Temple, who had always been supported by Grandpa Gu and was said to have deep cultivation, took the initiative to calculate Gu Nian’s fortune after hearing about it. The conclusion was that he was destined to have this calamity and needed to use a marriage arrangement to overcome it. Then, after a series of calculations, it landed on the original Lin Sui’s head.

Lin Sui didn’t think anymore and nodded readily, “Okay, then I’ll prepare the things to take out.”

Then he continued to look at Gu Nian with expectant eyes.

His bright eyes seemed to be saying:

Come confide in me, I’m your exclusive little tree hole!

Gu Nian was confused and gave a faint “Mm” before turning his wheelchair around to return to his room.

So he didn’t see the disappointed expression on Lin Sui’s face after he turned around.

Lin Sui watched Gu Nian return to his room and close the door, waited for a while to confirm that the man wasn’t going to come out, and had to admit that he had guessed wrong. Gu Nian didn’t want to share his feelings with him at all.

Alas, it seems that Gu Nian still hates him. The road to whitewashing is long and arduous.

Lin Sui was depressed for a while, patted his face, and quickly cheered up again. He raised his head and happily returned to his room to pack the things he needed to take out tomorrow.

This was his first time going to a temple!
