Chapter 50 Go to the police station to take notes

The night was dark, and the bedroom where Xie Shuhan and Lu Jin slept hugging each other was filled with quiet warmth.

The Yun family villa on the other side of the city has already been disturbed by the surging anger and despair. The atmosphere is as tense as a string about to break, and the intertwining of water and fire is full of chaos before collapse.

The crystal lamp in the living room was dazzlingly bright, but it couldn’t illuminate the haze deep in the heart.

Yun Chuchu curled up on the cold floor, half of his cheeks were severely red and swollen, and the clear palm prints were particularly dazzling on his fair skin.

The corners of his mouth were still stained with wet blood, his hair was messy and stuck to the sides of his cheeks, and his eyes were so hollow that they were almost numb.

The dull pain from the cruel slap on her face was still spreading, but she didn’t even have the strength to raise her hand to rub it, and she didn’t dare to utter a word of excuse. She could only bite her lower lip and swallow all the grievances and fears into her stomach.

Yunzaki stood in front of her, his chest heaving violently, veins popping out on his forehead, his eyes filled with monstrous anger and unconcealable panic, and the hand that had just slapped him was still trembling slightly.

He stared at Yun Chuchu on the ground, his voice became hoarse and broken due to extreme anger, and every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth: “You… How dare you attack Lu Jin without telling us! Do you know how much trouble you have caused? The Lu family has now completely blocked our Yun family, the company’s capital chain has been completely cut off, all partners have fled, and the entire Yun family will be destroyed by you! You… you…”

The more he talked, the more excited he became, a sharp pain came from his chest, and his breathing suddenly became rapid.

Before he finished speaking, he clutched his chest and bent down. His face instantly turned pale as a sheet of paper, cold sweat rolled down his forehead, and his eyesight turned black. He couldn’t even stand still, and his body fell straight to the side.

“Hubby! Husband, what’s wrong with you?” Lin Xiaoyan next to her was so frightened that she screamed and rushed forward to hold Yunqi’s shaky body.

When her fingertips touched his hot skin and his rapid breathing, he panicked and his voice trembled, “Quick! Come quickly! Where is the servant at home? Call an ambulance! Quickly save him!”

There was chaos in the living room, and the servants rushed over to help. Lin Xiaoyan hugged Yunqi’s body and looked at him curled up in pain, tears falling uncontrollably.

Yun Chuchu lay on the ground, her face still expressionless, but the numbness in her eyes became a little deeper. She knew that everything was over, the Yun family was over, and so was she.

The siren of the ambulance soon pierced the night sky. The medical staff hurriedly carried the unconscious Yunqi into the ambulance, and Lin Xiaoyan followed behind crying.

The villa was completely quiet, and Yun Chuchu was left alone lying on the cold floor, looking at the dazzling lights on the ceiling, feeling desolate in his heart.

Early the next morning, as soon as it dawned, Xie Shuhan slowly opened his eyes.

The place beside him had lost its warmth, leaving only a faint familiar scent lingering on the tip of his nose. Lu Jin had already gotten up without knowing when.

He sat up with his body propped up and glanced at the bedside table. There was a warm breakfast neatly placed on it, and there was also a note with sharp and gentle handwriting: “Eat your breakfast while it’s hot. If there’s an emergency at the company, go there first. I’ll see you when I’m done.”

Xie Shuhan picked up the note and gently rubbed the writing on it with his fingertips. A faint smile unconsciously appeared at the corner of his mouth, and he felt warm in his heart.

He got up, washed up, and ate breakfast slowly. The warm food slid down his throat and into his stomach, dispelling the slight chill in the morning and making his whole body feel refreshed.

After breakfast, Xie Shuhan packed his things and headed to school.

As soon as he entered the campus, he felt that the atmosphere around him was a little different. The students gathered together in twos and threes, talking in low voices, their eyes full of surprise and gossip, and their voices reached his ears intermittently.

“Have you heard? Zhou Yan was arrested by the police, and the school made an announcement in the morning.”

“Really? Isn’t he very powerful? How could he be caught?”

“It seems that he was suspected of deliberately harming others and was sent to the hospital. The evidence was solid. He was taken away from the hospital by the police and expelled from school.”

“No wonder, no wonder there are so many people surrounding the bulletin board this morning. It turns out this is what happened. It’s really deserved. I usually look at people acting like dogs, but I didn’t expect them to be so evil.”

Xie Shuhan listened to these discussions without any emotion on his face, his eyes were calm and without too many emotional ups and downs.

It was his own fault and no one else’s fault that Zhou Yan fell into this situation.

He walked straight into the classroom, found a seat and sat down, took out his book and read it quietly, as if everything in the outside world had nothing to do with him.

The class bell rang, and the teacher walked into the classroom. The class quickly returned to calm, with only the teacher’s voice echoing in the classroom.

Xie Shuhan listened carefully and occasionally lowered his head to take notes. Everything was the same as usual.

But in the middle of the course, there was a knock on the door of the classroom. The teacher stopped teaching and looked up.

The dean of students came and said, “Xie Shuhan, come out for a moment.”

The teacher was stunned for a moment, then nodded and looked at Xie Shuhan: “Xie Shuhan, please come over.”

Xie Shuhan put down the pen in his hand, stood up and responded, picked up the school bag on the table, and followed the dean out of the classroom.

Two staff members in police uniforms stood at the door, followed by the dean.

“Classmate Xie Shuhan, right? We need your cooperation to go to the police station and make a record.” One of the policemen said, his tone gentle but unquestionably serious.

Xie Shuhan nodded and followed them towards the school gate with steady steps.

The reception room of the police station was very quiet. Xie Shuhan was sitting on a chair. The policeman in front of him was holding a record book and patiently asking about the relevant situation.

He lowered his eyes and spoke calmly about how Zhou Yan had lured him to the equipment room that day and lit seductive incense in the room, trying to explain his evil intentions one by one.

It is clearly organized, no key details are missed, and every sentence is concise and clear, without any personal emotion.

The policeman took notes carefully and nodded to confirm from time to time. After Xie Shuhan finished speaking, he asked a few additional questions, which he answered truthfully.

After finishing the transcript, the policeman put away the notebook. Just as he was about to say that he could leave first, there was a knock on the door. A policeman came in and whispered a few words to the inquiring policeman.

After hearing this, the police officer who asked the question looked at Xie Shuhan and said in a gentle tone: “Classmate Xie, Zhou Yan wants to see you now. Is it convenient for you?”

When Xie Shuhan heard this, his eyes drooped slightly, and his long eyelashes cast a shallow shadow under his eyelids. He was silent for a moment and nodded slowly: “Okay.”

Following the police officer into the visiting room, Xie Shuhan opened the door and saw Zhou Yan sitting on the chair opposite.

In the past, Zhou Yan always wore neat clothes, behaved elegantly, and had a graceful demeanor, but now his appearance was completely gone.

He was wearing a prison uniform, with thick gauze wrapped around his arms and forehead. There were still bruises on his face that had not subsided. His hair was messy and his eyes were cloudy. The whole person looked embarrassed and decadent, and there was no trace of his former glory.

Seeing Xie Shuhan walking in, Zhou Yan raised his head suddenly, his eyes instantly became crazy and paranoid, staring at him, as if he wanted to carve his appearance into his bones.

Xie Shuhan sat down on the chair opposite him, leaning forward slightly, looking at him calmly, without any unnecessary greetings, and asked directly, his tone was so indifferent that there was no warmth: “What else do you want to say?”

Zhou Yan looked at his calm eyes, and the paranoia and unwillingness in his heart suddenly surged up. His voice was extremely hoarse, with an uncontrollable roar: “Why do you like Lu Jin? How long have you known each other? I am the one who has been with you the longest! I have always been by your side and treated you so well, why can’t you see it? You want to like someone who you have only known for a short time!”

In this situation, he was still struggling with this twisted emotion, completely unaware of his mistake.

His eyes were full of crazy obsession, as if it was Xie Shuhan’s biggest fault that he didn’t like him.

Xie Shuhan looked at his paranoid look, without any wavering in his eyes. His tone was still calm, but with an unquestionable firmness, and he said word by word: “We just met, but he has been in my heart for seven years, and you, from beginning to end, are just a passerby in my eyes.”

These words were light and airy, but they were like a sharp knife, piercing straight into Zhou Yan’s heart, instantly shattering his last psychological defense.

His eyes widened suddenly, his face was full of disbelief, he shook his head wildly, and shouted: “How is that possible! What seven years? It’s impossible! You are lying to me! You must be lying to me!”

He didn’t want to believe that even though he had been with her for so long, he still couldn’t get into Xie Shuhan’s heart.

Lu Jin had only known her for a few months, but she had already occupied a place in his heart for seven years. This gap and unwillingness made him completely collapse.

Xie Shuhan looked at his collapsed appearance, still expressionless, and said in a cold tone: “These have nothing to do with you. No matter in the past, now, or in the future, he is the only person I like.”

After saying this, he stopped looking at Zhou Yan, stood up slowly, turned around and walked towards the door, his steps steady and without any hesitation.

“No! Don’t leave! Speak clearly! What seven years? What’s going on!” Zhou Yan roared crazily and tried to stand up from the chair, but was held down by the police officer on the side.

He could only watch Xie Shuhan’s figure disappear from the door, the madness in his eyes gradually replaced by despair.

He struggled desperately and screamed, but he could only watch helplessly as the door was closed. All his unwillingness and paranoia turned into futile despair.

What awaits him will be endless jail time. The days to come will only be spent in a cold prison, and he will never have the chance to get closer to Xie Shuhan.

Xie Shuhan walked out of the visiting room, and the sunlight shone on him through the window, dispelling the slight chill in the room.

After a brief farewell to the police, he left.
