Chapter 2 Sent to the infirmary

“I’m sorry, I didn’t look at the road. How are you?” Lu Jin squatted down, his palms still filled with enthusiasm from the chase.

The man on the ground lowered his head, his hair covering his face. He thought it was because the impact was too painful and he didn’t even have the strength to raise his head. His tone became softer unconsciously, “Can you get up? Do you want me to help you?”

The hot air hit his face with a faint smell of sweat. Xie Shuhan curled his fingertips and slowly raised his head while supporting the ground.

The morning light happened to fall on his face, and Lu Jin’s breathing suddenly paused for a moment.

The person in front of me should really be described as “beautiful”, not the kind of ostentatious handsomeness, but as clean and refreshing as if washed by snow.

The brow bones are sharp, and the ends of the eyes are slightly raised, which are standard fox eyes. The light brown tear mole at the end of the eyes does not add any charm, but makes the eyes clearer.

“It’s okay.” Xie Shuhan’s voice was deeper than expected, like jade dipped in cold water, cold but not harsh.

He tried to move his right hand, and felt a sharp pain in his elbow, and subconsciously frowned.

Only then did Lu Jin notice his arm. The fair skin was scratched with two red marks on the ground. Small gravel was embedded in the wound, and there was still some blood oozing out.

“Your arm is injured.” He stretched out his hand to help, but was afraid of touching the wound. He paused with his fingertips hanging in mid-air. “I’ll send you to the infirmary for treatment, otherwise you’ll get infected and cause trouble.”

Xie Shuhan did not refuse, but just nodded. Those fox eyes looked straight at him with no emotion, but it made Lu Jin inexplicably uncomfortable.

He raised his hand and touched his face, muttering to himself, was there dust on his face when he was playing ball just now?

The scattered information was blown far away by the wind. Lu Jin quickly chased after it to pick it up. Only when his fingertips touched the paper did he realize that it was full of dense legal provisions, with tiny comments written in the corners.

He organized the information into pages and handed it to Xie Shuhan, “Let’s go, the infirmary is not far from here.”

Xie Shuhan stood up by supporting the wall with his uninjured left hand. His movements were a little slow. Lu Jin subconsciously supported his elbow to avoid the wound.

The skin touched by his fingertips was slightly cool, in stark contrast to the heat on his own body. He quickly withdrew his hand as if he had been burned.

The two of them walked side by side to the infirmary, talking little on the way.

The sunlight passed through the sycamore leaves and cast mottled light and shadow on the ground. Lu Jin could smell the faint smell of cedar on Xie Shuhan’s body, mixed with the fragrance of summer grass, which made people feel calm inexplicably.

He secretly glanced at the person next to him, who lowered his eyes to look at the road. His long eyelashes cast a small shadow under his eyes. Even his walking posture showed a gentleness, which was completely different from the flamboyant himself on the court.

The door of the infirmary was ajar. Lu Jin opened the door and shouted: “Doctor, his elbow was scratched. Please disinfect it and prescribe some medicine.”

The doctor in a white coat was arranging medicines. He looked up at Xie Shuhan’s arm and pointed to the bench next to him. “Sit there first. I’ll bring disinfectant over.”

As soon as Xie Shuhan sat down, the doctor came over with a cotton swab and iodophor.

When the cotton swab was dipped in iodine and touched the wound, he couldn’t help but frown. His fingertips clenched the corners of his clothes tightly, and his knuckles turned white.

Lu Jin stood aside and watched, silently labeling Xie Shuhan as “squeamish and afraid of pain”.

“Okay,” the doctor applied the ointment on the gauze and gently applied it to Xie Shuhan’s wound. “Don’t touch the water or use this arm for the next few days. Just change the medicine once a day.”

He turned around and opened a small ointment and handed it over, “Apply this once in the morning and evening. It will heal quickly.”

“Thank you, doctor.” Xie Shuhan nodded, and just as he was about to reach out to take it, Lu Jin had already taken the ointment first, turned around and went to the cashier to pay.

Looking at Lu Jin’s back, Xie Shuhan’s eyes showed some complicated emotions.

Lu Jin came back after paying the money and handed the ointment to Xie Shuhan, “Take it.”

He paused and then added, “Where are you going? I’ll take you there. Your arms are not convenient for carrying things.”

“Duzhilou.” Xie Shuhan took the ointment and put it in his bag.

“Duzhi Building?” Lu Jin was stunned for a moment, then realized, “The teaching building of the Law Department?”

It’s not surprising, that pile of information is all legal provisions.

    “Yeah.” Xie Shuhan responded.

“Let’s go then, I’ll take you there.” Lu Jin picked up the pile of documents and held them in his arms naturally. The documents were a bit heavy and he was afraid that Xie Shuhan wouldn’t be able to hold them firmly with his left hand.

There was still nothing to say on the way. Lu Jin felt a little embarrassed and took the initiative to find a topic: “What’s your name?”

    “Thank you Shuhan.”

Xie Shuhan?Isn’t he the cold academic god and the darling of the law department? But this name really suits him.

Lu Jin and Xie Shuhan are both seniors this year. During the four years of college, Lu Jin has always heard that there is a genius in the law department, but he did not expect that he is the person in front of him.

“My name is Lu Jin. Let’s add a contact number. If your right arm is injured, if you have any inconvenience or if you have anything to do, you can contact me.” Lu Jin took out his mobile phone. He injured the person’s right arm, so he was naturally responsible.

He took out his mobile phone, opened the WeChat QR code, and handed it to Xie Shuhan.

Xie Shuhan was stunned for a moment, then took out his mobile phone and scanned the QR code.

Lu Jin looked at the friend request that popped up on the phone screen and couldn’t help but smile.

Xie Shuhan’s profile picture is pure white, and even his nickname is just a simple period. Just like himself, he exudes a cold and concise energy.

On the other hand, my avatar is of an orange cat raised at home, and its nickname is just “Jin”, which seems a bit casual.

After adding friends, the two quickly arrived at the door of Duzhi Building.

Lu Jin handed the information to Xie Shuhan, “Then I’ll leave first. If you need it, send me a message at any time.”

“Well, thank you.” Xie Shuhan took the information and looked up at Lu Jin. His eyes seemed to be warmer than before.

Lu Jin waved his hand, turned around and ran to the dormitory. Before he could settle the score with Yu Yifan, that guy dared to forget to take a handsome photo of him and ran away.

Seeing Lu Jin’s running back, Xie Shuhan stood still and didn’t move until the figure disappeared around the corner, then turned and walked into Duzhi Building.

He touched the ointment in his pocket. The coolness of the ointment tube came to his fingertips, but his heart felt a little hot for no reason.
