Chapter Index

    A harsh confession

The cold wind whizzed by Qiu Yin’an’s ears like a blade, causing a burning pain in his ears.

Qiu Yin’an combined the two swords into a small boat, sat cross-legged on the spine of the sword, and continued to speed up.

The figure behind him was approaching like a shadow. Qiu Yin’an’s weapon control skills were as fast as lightning. Among the three people, only Bai Chengying could catch up with him.

Bai Chengying overpowered Qiu Yin’an with his sword, and he said urgently: “Yin’an, I know you resent me in your heart, but I also have my own reasons.”

At this moment, Qiu Yin’an looked at Bai Chengying with a chill in her eyes, “The reason? The lives of the two Yao Ye siblings are still uncertain. Bai Chengying, I don’t blame you, I hate you.”

“I don’t want to do that to them.” Bai Chengying stepped on the thin sword at his feet and squatted down. He defended hurriedly, and his body swayed and he almost lost his balance. “It’s my master. He knew that the elders wanted to elect you as the Lord, so he wanted to threaten the lives of the Yao Ye sisters and force you to give up your position. We didn’t want them to die. We wanted to capture them alive. They resisted to the death, and we ended up in this miserable situation now.”

“Are you blaming their siblings for resisting?” Qiu Yin’an felt murderous intent in his heart. He wanted to draw his sword against Bai Chengying immediately, but he knew that this was not the best time to start a war. He had to lead the three of them to the Blood Cave. The first priority was to get rid of Chen Liang.

Qiu Yin’an shouted sternly: “You know that Yao Ye and I grew up together since childhood, and we are brothers, but you still let your disciples kill Jiuling Mountain. From now on, you and I are enemies.”

Bai Chengying’s face suddenly turned pale when he heard this, “Yin’an, I never thought of being your enemy. Everything I did was for you.”

“For me?” Qiu Yin’an laughed angrily, “Bai Chengying, I really don’t understand you more and more.”

Bai Chengying lowered his eyes and was silent for a moment, then confessed: “I was anxious to restore my damaged heart, so I practiced dual cultivation with my master. The massacre of Jiuling Mountain was the condition he exchanged with me.”

Qiu Yin’an was shocked, and his pupils suddenly shrank like needles. He raised his head slightly and stared at Bai Chengying. His stomach was churning, and he was speechless for a long time.

“Wan Qiongju gave me the medicine that was supposed to help restore my heart. I had no choice.”

Bai Chengying took a deep breath, put his thumb on the sword blade at his feet, and pressed his fingertips so hard that there was no blood. “I also feel extremely disgusted. I even imagined him as you, but it still doesn’t work, so I can only do it hastily.”

Qiu Yin’an hurriedly stopped him and said, “Stop talking.”

Bai Chengying circulated his spiritual power, and a strong halo surrounded his whole body. The halo dissipated as he breathed a sigh of relief, “But, I finally got over it.”

Qiu Yin’an frowned, with mixed feelings in his heart. Although he didn’t like Bai Chengying, he had to admit that it was a pity that Bai Chengying was so charming that he was polluted by someone like Chen Liang.

When he spoke again, Qiu Yin’an’s anger became a little complicated, “The failure of your elixir has nothing to do with Wan Qiongju. It was an error during the refining. I have asked Linghu to send you a note, which is clearly written on it.”

Qiu Yin’an clenched her fists tightly and looked at Bai Chengying for a long time, “Why don’t you wait?”

“I don’t want to do this, but I must regain my strength as soon as possible.” Bai Chengying’s eyelashes trembled slightly, and there was uncontrollable pain in his voice, “Wan Qiongju is definitely not a kind person. He secretly changed the elixir and must have evil intentions against you. Only by becoming stronger can I protect you.”

This sentence completely wiped away Qiu Yin’s inner debt to Bai Chengying, “How far have he and I come? What else can he have against me? What do I need you to worry about?”

Qiu Yin’an felt like he was entangled in a sticky wind. As long as he was around Bai Chengying, he would become very anxious.

At this moment, he just hated why his weapon control skills could not improve a little more, so that he could escape Bai Chengying completely.

Bai Chengying leaned forward anxiously towards Qiu Yin’an, “Look, you started to defend him before I even said anything about him. You are a smart person, but when you mention him, you become like a fool.”

Qiu Yin’an tilted her head, not wanting to look at him, “Don’t think that I will let you go just because you blame me for all your useless sacrifices. I will definitely settle the score with you about Yao Ye’s matter after I deal with Chen Liang.”

A trace of loneliness flashed in Bai Chengying’s eyes, and he murmured to himself: “I knew you wouldn’t listen to anything I said.”

Qiu Yin’an: “Since you know, just shut up.”

Bai Chengying: “I know the whereabouts of Yao Ye and his sister. I have been sending people to keep an eye on them and have not asked my disciples to take action. Yin’an, do you want to know their whereabouts?”

Qiu Yin turned his head and asked, “Where are they?”

He pulled Bai Chengying’s collar with a serious look on his face, “Bai Chengying, hand this person over to me.”

Bai Chengying took his time and held Qiu Yin’an’s hand holding his collar. “Listen to me and I will tell you. I didn’t intend to hurt them.”

Qiu Yin’an shook off Bai Chengying’s hand and said, “Say.”

Bai Chengying slowed down his voice and said, “I personally saw Wan Qiongju and Changchuan having a private conversation. Do you know about this?”

Qiu Yin’an frowned, and he pulled his head back half an inch. He obviously didn’t believe a word of Bai Chengying’s words, “Wan Qiongju has been inseparable from me all day long, where did you meet him?”

Bai Chengying’s eyes were firm, “It’s right at the gate of Xishan Palace.”

Qiu Yin’an raised the corners of his mouth slightly, and let out a chuckle, “I’ve heard what you said, now can you tell me the whereabouts of Yao Ye and the others?”

Bai Chengying had already expected Qiu Yin’an to react like this. He did not lose heart and continued to explain to Qiu Yin’an, “This is Wan Qiongju’s brilliance. He acts under your nose and is less likely to be noticed.”

Qiu Yin’an looked in the direction of the Blood Cave without saying a word, just hoping to get rid of Bai Chengying quickly, “If you don’t want to tell me the whereabouts of Yao Ye and the others, I will find them myself.”

“Don’t worry, what’s the use of his siblings? I just want you to wake up and be on guard against Wan Qiongju.” Bai Chengying was stubborn and continued, not caring about Qiu Yin’an’s face, “I know I can’t produce evidence now and you won’t believe me, so I must restore my mana as soon as possible, so that no matter what happens in the future, I can protect you.”

Qiu Yin’an: “I don’t need you to worry. You should take good care of your disciples. If Yao Ye and his brothers cannot return to me safely, I will make you pay with your blood.”

Bai Chengying straightened up from his sword in despair. He looked down at the stubborn Qiu Yin’an, “I protect you wholeheartedly, but you always think about avenging me for his siblings. Do you know that not only has my heart been restored, but my magic power has also been improved. I want to join forces with my master to deal with you. How can I force you?”

Qiu Yin’an: “Then give it a try. Will I, Qiu Yin’an, be afraid of you?”

Bai Chengying’s shoulders drooped, “Why were you ever afraid of me? I’ve always been afraid of you.”

Bai Chengying said to herself: “I once wanted to hate you, not to love you, and deliberately humiliated you with words, but I found that the only one who felt heartbroken was myself. I can’t lie to myself. I really love you.”

Qiu Yin’an frowned coldly and tightened his jaw. He felt that Bai Chengying’s voice was more harsh than the howling cold wind. He couldn’t help but stop him, “Stop talking nonsense.”

Bai Chengying stood on the sword, looking forward in trance for a long time, and then said, “I will let you know one day that the person who loves you with all my heart in this world is me, not Wan Qiongju.”
