Chapter 39

The performance ended, and the two followed the audience out of the cabin, heading towards the parking lot. The wind outside was cold, but both their cheeks were flushed.

Jiang Chen was a little impatient. Ever since he discovered new ways of intimacy last time, he hadn’t had a single night where he didn’t think about Ling Sheng. At twenty years old and deeply in love, he wished he could just stay in bed all the time.

But as soon as they reached the parking lot, they saw three guys harassing a girl in front of a car. The girl looked a little scared, wrapped in a down jacket, but surrounded by the three men, she couldn’t escape.

“Just add us on WeChat, beauty. We wanted to dance with you earlier, but you ignored us. We’re so sad.”

“Yeah, add us on WeChat so we can go dancing together later. Our treat.”

The three men seemed to have been drinking. Just hearing their voices made it clear they had bad intentions. They were also getting handsy, and the girl kept refusing, tightly clutching her down jacket.

“Sorry, I’m off work. I need to go home now.”

“Go home? We’ll take you. It’s not even ten o’clock yet. Why don’t you come with us for an after-party?”

“No thanks, someone’s waiting for me at home. Please let me through.”

“Beauty, don’t be like that. There are so many girls here, and we only picked you. You should feel flattered, right?”

Seeing the men blocking her more and more tightly, the girl was clearly panicking.

    “Excuse me, let me through!”

Just as they were about to grab the girl’s wrist, a voice came over.

    “Hello~”

The men turned their heads at the same time and saw a tall figure in a black coat walking over. Although he was smiling, he exuded a chilling aura, perhaps because of the cold wind.

    “Who are you?”

Jiang Chen walked over, and his tall figure easily pushed the two men aside, standing next to the girl. He first winked at her, then said to the men, “Sorry to bother you, just drumming up some business, I’ll be gone soon.”

The men were confused, wondering what kind of business he was drumming up.

But seeing his deep features and elegant clothing, could it be that someone who looked like this was also a pimp?

Jiang Chen calmly took out a business card from his pocket and handed it to the girl. “Jiangcheng Shanhe Law Firm, Zhao Youwei, feel free to contact me if you need anything.”

The girl blankly took the card. At this moment, the men understood what was going on. The man who had been the loudest immediately shouted, “So what if you’re a lawyer? We didn’t do anything. Is it illegal to make friends?”

“Making friends isn’t illegal, of course.” Jiang Chen was still smiling as he said to the girl, “Thank you for inviting me to dance earlier. Let’s be friends.”

The man was about to say something when another voice came from over there, “Zhao Lawyer, did the beauty agree to take a photo? I’ve been recording for ages, and my hands are cold.”

Jiang Chen turned his head and saw Ling Sheng pointing a phone at them. He understood, turned to the girl, and said, “Do you mind taking a photo?”

The girl naturally knew they were helping her out of a difficult situation. Clutching the business card, she quickly shook her head. “Not at all.”

With a recording and a lawyer, plus the fact that their own actions weren’t exactly upright, anyone with a normal brain knew they couldn’t stay here for long. The men could only use the excuse of disturbing their photo to slip away.

Jiang Chen watched them get into the car and drive away before his expression changed. He took a step back and asked the girl, “Are you okay?”

The girl was the actress who had asked him to dance on the boat earlier. Her makeup was still on, and she looked gratefully at Jiang Chen. “Thank you, I’m fine.”

Ling Sheng also walked over, showing them the photos on his phone. “They look pretty good.”

In the photos, Jiang Chen was standing next to the girl, making a peace sign. The girl looked nervous. The light wasn’t bright, but the phone automatically detected the dim environment and turned on the flash. The handsome man and beautiful woman certainly looked good.

Jiang Chen thought he was just scaring those guys, he didn’t know he actually took photos. He found it a bit funny. “You even recorded a video?”

Ling Sheng nodded slightly. “In case you got into a fight with them, it could be used as evidence.”

“I’m a civilized person. This is a law-abiding society, I don’t resort to violence.” Jiang Chen said, then smiled at the girl. “Are you heading back?”

The girl’s gaze had been fixed on Jiang Chen. He was already good-looking, and now that he had saved her, her eyes were filled with enthusiasm. Her heart was beating fast, and she didn’t even feel cold. Seeing him talk to her, she quickly replied, “Yes, I already called a car, but they were bothering me, and the driver got impatient and canceled the order.”

Jiang Chen said, “Then call another car. We’ll wait with you for a while.”

The girl took out her phone to call a car. When she called earlier after the performance, it took her ten minutes to get a car, and she still had to wait ten more minutes. She was hoping to use this time to chat with the handsome lawyer, but the order was snatched up instantly, and it would arrive in two minutes.

“The car… will be here soon.” The girl was a little disappointed. Mustering her courage, she wanted to make an effort for her love. But when she looked up, she saw her handsome lawyer taking the hand of the handsome guy next to him and rubbing it in his hands.

    ?

Ling Sheng watched as his boyfriend rubbed his hand in his. The passionate gaze of the girl opposite him turned from confusion to shock and then to disappointment in just three seconds.

He wanted to pull his hand back, but thinking of this stranger they just met, he didn’t want to be too sensitive. After all, his boyfriend had been preparing for this date for quite a while, and he didn’t want to upset him at this moment. So he didn’t say anything and let him do as he pleased.

Jiang Chen sensed the passion in the girl’s eyes. He was doing it on purpose. While rubbing Ling Sheng’s hand, he even put it to his mouth and breathed on it. “Is it warmer now?”

Ling Sheng had one hand in his pocket, keeping it warm.

    “Yeah, warmer.”

At this moment, the girl’s phone rang. It was the driver calling. She quickly answered the phone and took a deep breath after hanging up. “Thank you, goodbye.”

The girl ran off. Ling Sheng wanted to pull his hand back, but Jiang Chen was still holding on tightly.

“She’s gone already.” Ling Sheng looked at him, his eyes full of amusement. “Who were you performing for?”

Jiang Chen grabbed his hand and bit his knuckle. “I wasn’t performing.”

Ling Sheng reached out and rubbed his lips. “Yes, little wolfdog, let’s go home.”

Jiang Chen pulled his hand behind his back, then pinched Ling Sheng’s chin with his other hand, tilting his head up slightly, and kissed him directly.

This was the parking lot. Although there weren’t many people here at this hour, a performance had just ended, and people would occasionally come here to pick up their cars. Hearing the sound of a car engine starting in the distance, Ling Sheng wanted to break away from Jiang Chen, but the more he struggled, the less Jiang Chen let him go. Ling Sheng grabbed his collar with both hands, trying to push him away, but one hand held the side of his head, and the other held his waist. He couldn’t break free, and instead, he was rolled on his lips, kissing him deeper and deeper.

It had been a long time since Ling Sheng had felt this out of control and flustered, but the stimulation was magnified infinitely by the entanglement of tongues, and he felt his entire head was numb, even experiencing a brief moment of tinnitus.

Just as a headlight shone over, Jiang Chen released Ling Sheng, and the two stepped aside to let the car pass.

Ling Sheng’s heart was beating fast, and sweat seemed to be breaking out on his forehead. He calmed down slightly, glaring at Jiang Chen, but that look contained undiminished desire, making Jiang Chen want to kiss him again.

The two returned to the car, Ling Sheng turned his face to the side, looking out the window and ignoring him.

The car drove smoothly out of the parking lot. Ten minutes later, Ling Sheng still hadn’t turned his head. Jiang Chen was getting anxious. “I just couldn’t help myself, don’t be angry.”

Ling Sheng ignored him, looking out the window, only showing a third of his face. Jiang Chen spoke to him while driving. “Ling Sheng, say something to me.”

At a red light, Jiang Chen stopped the car and eagerly reached out to touch his face, but Ling Sheng grabbed his hand. “Focus on driving.”

    Jiang Chen Wronged:“Don’t be angry,I。”
