    R-Rated Scene

“Go to bed?” The voice carried, accompanied by a partial view of a jawline and nose tip entering the frame. Paired with the ambiguous background music (BGM), it sounded like a secret invitation.

A soft hum, seemingly tinged with sweetness: “Mmm~”

This was followed by close-ups of a hand pressing against the young man’s waist—footage previously magnified during the live stream—and some stream-of-consciousness shots. The BGM suddenly stopped.

“If you don’t do it yourself…”

A drop of water fell. The surroundings were dark, save for the smooth ripples of water and a white flower, its petals translucent and adorned with water droplets, trembling slightly.

The BGM entered its climax, followed by another close-up: the young man tilting his head slightly during a moment of fatigue, his eyelashes drooping, the corners of his eyes faintly red. It looked exactly like some kind of R-rated scene.

Almost instantly, the young man’s cheeks and ear tips flushed crimson. He closed his eyes, about to tilt his head back, but his movement froze. When he opened them again, the excerpted and edited video clip was replaying before him.

    Clear as day.

Kong Xunwen averted his gaze, only to meet the eyes of the other protagonist in the video.

    He quickly looked away again.

The original video was actually fine; it wouldn’t have elicited such a strong reaction from him. The main issue was that the newly clipped and edited version was simply… overly suggestive.

It made it look as if they had done something scandalous during the live stream.

In reality, he had just accidentally fallen asleep and was carried back to the room.

    …Well, that wasn’t much better.

But at least the video didn’t show the full figures of both of them.

Kong Xunwen took a deep breath to calm himself. Avoiding Qiu Zhijie’s gaze, he immediately tapped open the private message section, finally understanding the source of this sudden surge in popularity.

It was precisely yesterday’s live stream that he had forgotten to turn off.

The atmosphere, rather than being ambiguous, was actually quite warm. Their private mode of interaction had been exposed somewhat, and it initially spread only within a small circle.

However, once that intensely suggestive video appeared, the originally normal dialogue, under the influence of the BGM and the visuals, took on a completely different, inappropriate meaning.

Kong Xunwen didn’t want to admit what flashed through his mind at that moment; he just wanted to escape the scene quickly, so he swiftly closed the video.

But his departure was useless. The video was expertly edited. Although the BGM was a relatively niche song, it perfectly matched the video, attracting many people to stay.

The comment section was filled with reactions.

[Ahhh, ahhh, is this something I’m allowed to see here?!]

[It’s too delicious, too delicious! We can ship this, right? We can ship this, right? If no one objects, I’m going to ship them!]

[Who is this? Especially that last expression—is it from a new drama? Why haven’t I heard of it?]

[If it’s a drama, I want to know what the other person paired with this beauty looks like.]

[So skilled, so skilled! Those shots inserted in the middle immediately create a whole different visual, hehe.]

    [? What the heck?]

[GB or BL? GB or BL? Can someone tell me? This is really important to me, though both are equally delicious.]

[This is too easy to ship! *Sighs of pleasure*]

It was fortunate that Kong Xunwen fled in time and didn’t see these comments. Otherwise, he would probably have a harder time recovering than he did now.

On the other side, Qiu Zhijie, realizing something was wrong, finally opened the app on his phone. Since he only followed Wen, the big data push made the first video displayed the most popular one, which already had 540,000 likes.

The footage was both familiar and strange, though mostly strange.

He frowned slightly. He disliked having such private moments exposed, especially since the young man’s appearance in the final scene was highly likely to attract various covetous remarks and gazes.

Thinking this, he didn’t immediately swipe away but opened the comment section first.

As comments scrolled past, his frown deepened, just as he had expected.

Kong Xunwen finally recovered somewhat and closed his phone. There was no helping it; even the fan group was discussing this. Since he and Qiu Zhijie had already publicly announced they were a couple, the group members weren’t overly reserved.

However, their enthusiastic discussion made the person involved incredibly embarrassed, causing him to flee the scene once more.

Then, the familiar music started playing behind him, looping—it was the BGM used in the video just now.

And the source of the sound…

Just as Kong Xunwen turned his head, he saw Qiu Zhijie’s increasingly tight frown.

His embarrassment and annoyance dissipated slightly. After all, he was the one who showed up on camera. He couldn’t help but wonder why this man was frowning.

He walked closer and realized that the man was frantically reporting those obscure yet bold comments in the comment section, his fingers flying across the screen.

Kong Xunwen blinked. The emotions in his heart immediately faded significantly. He suddenly spoke up beside the man, who hadn’t noticed his arrival: “What are you doing?”

He watched as the man’s hand jerked, and their eyes met—a pair of black eyes filled with surprise and residual displeasure.

This was a look he had never seen before.

Kong Xunwen remained silent for a moment.

Qiu Zhijie was caught, but his discomfort lasted only a second. He suppressed it before Kong Xunwen noticed and said naturally, “Nothing, just maintaining a healthy online environment.”

Kong Xunwen raised an eyebrow: “Is that so?”

Qiu Zhijie nodded while exiting the video on his phone. He planned to find the video’s creator later and see how he could get them to hide the clip.

Yet, as if he had guessed his thoughts, Kong Xunwen said, “Even if this video is taken down, others will pop up. Don’t worry too much about it. Besides, the main reason for this was me forgetting to turn off the live stream.”

Qiu Zhijie nodded, seemingly taking the advice, but in reality, he hadn’t abandoned his plan.

Kong Xunwen hadn’t actually figured out his intentions; he just happened to mention it and didn’t bring up the matter again. However, that afternoon, when the agreed-upon time arrived.

He had originally planned for Qiu Zhijie to be on the third floor and himself on the first, each doing their own thing. However, the man remained silent but, when the time came, did not go upstairs.

Looking at the man sitting just outside the camera’s view, Kong Xunwen felt a little helpless: “It’s just a live stream. You used to watch me in the live room before, didn’t you?”

“…” Qiu Zhijie didn’t speak, but simply raised his hand to show the screen on his phone, which was waiting for the live stream to start.

    Fine.

Kong Xunwen tried a different approach: “If you don’t want to continue designing, you can go rest. It can’t be comfortable sitting here.”

Qiu Zhijie shook his head and remained silent again.

In a trance, Kong Xunwen seemed to see the CEO Qiu from long ago, standing silently outside his courtyard gate. At that time, he hadn’t known the man liked him.

Thinking about it now, their relationship had changed so much, and he found it somewhat miraculous.

He also gained a little more patience for the man in front of him: “Alright, if you get tired, go rest on your own. I can’t look after you while I’m streaming.”

    Qiu Zhijie nodded.

He didn’t speak, but for some reason, Kong Xunwen found it a little amusing, as if he were pretending to be well-behaved.

He glanced again at the obediently seated man, then lowered his head and opened the software. First, he made some adjustments to today’s live stream layout based on the type of painting he would be working on. After confirming that every angle of himself in the camera was fine, he finally started the live stream.

    3, 2, 1.

“Hello again, everyone. Good afternoon. Today’s session will cover the pieces for these few clients. Don’t worry, I am also working on the others that requested not to be streamed, all according to the commissioned deadlines.”

“Also, I finished two pieces this morning. If you need any revisions, you can contact me after the stream ends.”

[Hahahaha, every time Wenwen does this, I inexplicably feel like I’m getting a work report.]

[Are we Wenwen’s bosses? That identity feels pretty good.]

[Boss and employee? I have visuals in my head.]

[What visuals are in your head? I advise you to share them. I want visuals too.]

[Huh? When the streamer moves like this in the live room, he looks completely different and better than in the video! Is he not using a beauty filter?]

[What kind of live room is this? Isn’t he a looks streamer? I came here for that!]

[I’ll be direct: I want to see the streamer and the streamer’s partner, preferably streaming until night, hehe.]

[The people above… Sisters, restrain yourselves. This is a live room; the streamer can see the comments!]

[Huh? Doesn’t that make it more interesting?]

[What, what? Is the beauty really that beautiful? So when can we see the scene from the video?]

[Hmm, if you came for that, you might be disappointed.]

[This is genuinely a serious painting live room. If you like watching the streamer paint, or looking at the streamer’s face, or chatting, you can stay. Otherwise, there might not be much else.]

    [Ah, alright, disappointed, leaving.]

[? If you’re leaving, do you have to announce it?]

[Don’t mind people like that. I already knew what the live room was about when I came, but I still wanted to check it out, hehe. I feel like the atmosphere here is quite nice.]

[Oh, by the way, I stayed because of Wenwen’s handsome face shy]

[Alright, alright, I’m staying for this face too.]

Kong Xunwen hadn’t even had a chance to speak, and the comments were already harmonious. He could only nod along: “Yes, yes.”

He finally found an opening: “New friends, if you want to watch painting, you can stay and watch. Chatting together is nice too.”

[Hahahaha, the streamer looks so well-behaved.]

Kong Xunwen had been streaming for a long time, but he still wasn’t good at handling such comments. He could only clumsily change the subject. However, this obvious attempt to deflect only made people want to tease him more, especially since sometimes it elicited unique reactions.

[Wenwen is shy again! It’s always so obvious, hahaha.]

[He hasn’t improved at all after all this time, hahahaha.]

“How can I improve on this?” Kong Xunwen suddenly thought of something as he spoke. He quickly glanced at a certain spot, retracted his gaze swiftly, and then said, “By growing a thicker skin?”

    [Hahahaha, although… that’s not wrong.]

[Did Wenwen just look somewhere? Is someone there?]

    [I guess it’s a certain person.]

    [That probably… counts as progress.]

[We’ve gained a Wenwen who is feigning composure, refuting, and slightly smug.]

[Hahaha, that description is spot on.]

Kong Xunwen glanced at the comments and then pulled his attention back: “Alright, I need to start today’s task, or I won’t have enough time.”

[It’s okay, I don’t mind. Wenwen can stream a little longer.]

[If you don’t mind, then I don’t mind either.]

    [Count me in.]

[Hahahaha, you guys are so mean!]

Kong Xunwen, who couldn’t resist looking at the comments again, finally gave in: “I mind!” After all, who doesn’t want to get off work early?

Qiu Zhijie was multitasking. In contrast to the cheerful atmosphere here, he was in the shadows with a slightly somber expression, watching the comments while observing the young man in front of him.

He scoffed internally: I mind too!
