Chapter 9: Beat His Face Crooked.

Xing Zhan couldn’t see An Yu’s expression, but his voice was trembling, making him think the young man was quite thin-skinned.

Despite such humiliation, he was still thinking of him.

Xing Zhan said, “I want to drink it now.”

He wouldn’t give An Yu any special privileges, but he wasn’t going to mistreat him either. Food, clothing, shelter, and transportation were the basics.

    Especially food.

He was so thin, a strong gust of wind would probably knock him over.

After speaking, he glanced at Wu Yuan, who was waiting nearby.

Wu Yuan was both Xing Zhan’s personal assistant and the housekeeper here.

He nodded and headed straight for the kitchen.

After checking the surveillance and questioning the staff, he returned in less than ten minutes: “The Chinese cuisine department was slacking off. I have already instructed them to prepare breakfast again. Those who were negligent will be dealt with according to regulations.”

The three people in the Chinese cuisine department: the two who played deaf and dumb had their bonuses deducted.

Ma Hua, who had a dirty mouth, was immediately fired.

In the bustling kitchen, Ma Hua stood alone in the corner, filled with intense regret.

    How could this happen?

An Yu was an imposter. Shouldn’t he be keeping his head down after just entering the family?

    And the Young Master.

Last night at dinner, the Young Master and An Yu clearly hadn’t exchanged a single word…

The thoughts of the others were similar to Ma Hua’s, which was why no one had offered a word of caution earlier.

Now, they felt both fortunate and remorseful.

It was true, no matter what, An Yu had already registered his marriage with the Young Master and was the legitimate co-owner of this house.

An Yu was also so good-looking; anyone would be moved.

The steaming hot mutton soup was served, and An Yu proactively ladled a full bowl for Xing Zhan.

At this moment, emotional value had to be maximized.

His eyes were sparkling, filled with gratitude and the joy of a puppy receiving a bone.

    Xing Zhan: “…”

He drank the entire bowl of soup, feeling a certain heat halfway through.

After breakfast, Wu Yuan drove Xing Zhan to the company.

Seeing Xing Zhan tug at his tie and frown in the rearview mirror, Wu Yuan couldn’t help but ask, “Boss, are you feeling unwell?”

Xing Zhan: “Pull over. Go buy medicine.”

Wu Yuan: “…What kind of medicine?”

Wu Yuan ultimately didn’t know what medicine Xing Zhan bought.

After the car stopped by the roadside, Xing Zhan went to buy the medicine himself, strictly forbidding Wu Yuan from following.

He was burning hot, and this matter was impossible to discuss.

An Yu was also hot, a comfortable warmth in his hands and feet. He narrowed his eyes in contentment, thinking that he must have mutton soup again tomorrow.

Before reaching the An Family villa.

He told the driver to come back and pick him up at 1 PM.

Father An, Mother An, and An Shi were all waiting in front of the villa.

They were waiting for Xing Zhan.

Although Xing Zhan hadn’t said he was coming, what if he did?

Seeing An Yu get out of the car alone, An Shi, who had spent the early morning bathing and getting beauty treatments, immediately scowled: “Climbing high branches makes you impressive, doesn’t it? You probably deliberately came this late…”

Father An and Mother An’s expressions were even worse.

Yesterday, they called, sent messages, waited and waited, and didn’t sleep all night, yet An Yu dared not reply with a single word.

An Yu watched the driver drive away, turned around, and his face was even more sullen than the An family trio.

An Shi lifted his chin, looking at him coldly.

An Yu thought, he really deserved a beating.

What was this? He had lied to himself so much that he genuinely believed his marriage had been stolen?

He walked up to An Shi and raised his hand.

It was a clean, swift slap, knocking An Shi’s raised chin sideways.

After the slap, before An Shi could react, An Yu activated his berserk attack mode.

He had planned this long ago—first, collect some interest for the Original Host.

An Yu was very skilled at fighting, but unfortunately, the Original Host wasn’t, so he just threw a flurry of wild punches.

Father An, Mother An, and the servants were all stunned.

An Shi’s head was ringing: “Are you crazy!”

Mother An shrieked: “An Yu, stop!”

Father An shouted: “Pull him off!”

Two seconds later, remembering that An Yu had to go to the hospital in the afternoon, he yelled again: “Don’t hurt him!”

In less than ten minutes, An Shi was bruised and swollen, with countless hidden injuries on his body.

An Yu’s clothes were dirty and wrinkled from pinning An Shi to the ground while hitting him. He had only minor scrapes, nothing serious.

    No one questioned him.

He finished hitting and immediately preempted them by questioning An Shi.

Pushing his emotions to the maximum, An Yu’s eyes were bloodshot and his voice hoarse, like someone driven to desperation: “Why did you say I threatened suicide to steal your marriage? That’s not what you said before! Do you know how much they hate me because of that? My marriage is already ruined, and now you want to ruin my life! How can you be so wicked…”

    He was heartbroken and miserable.

An Shi couldn’t help but feel guilty: “Mom and Dad told me to say that!”

    An Yu stated emphatically: “Impossible!”

    An Shi: “…”

An Yu wiped away a tear and analyzed the situation seriously: “Mom and Dad are biased, but they still love me. It must be you! You’ve bullied me since childhood, and you taught An Ming to bully me too. You are the worst! Your heart is black!”

After cursing An Shi, An Yu looked eagerly at Father An and Mother An, as if seeking praise, and said, “I didn’t say anything. Xing Zhan asked me if it was true that I threatened suicide to steal the marriage, and I admitted it.”

Father An and Mother An looked stunned.

An Yu covered his face, lest he accidentally smile.

He choked out, “I don’t want to stay there. Even the servants look down on me and won’t give me food. Xing Zhan is very fierce, and I didn’t dare tell the truth, or what if the An Family goes bankrupt? An Shi and I can go pick up trash or work, but you are old, and without money, you will suffer greatly…”

Father An and Mother An hadn’t expected An Yu to still be thinking of them.

Mother An had initially hated An Yu for hitting so hard, but now she couldn’t bear to blame him. This child was truly kind-hearted and filial.

Father An breathed a sigh of relief.

He had thought An Yu was becoming disobedient, but thankfully he was still the same as before. Not answering the phone or replying to messages—anyone would break down in that situation; it was excusable.

No one mentioned blaming An Yu for hitting An Shi.

It seemed An Yu had been suppressed to the extreme. If he truly broke down, the consequences would be hard to manage.

An Shi was aching all over, but he felt a little better mentally. An Yu was also miserable, not even getting food to eat.

    The atmosphere became peaceful now.

At 1 PM, An Yu left, “bearing the humiliation.”

He changed into An Shi’s latest clothes, which An Shi hadn’t even worn yet, ate the meal Mother An personally cooked, and, using the excuse of having no food and no money, lingered and managed to fleece Father An out of a million yuan.

The car drove down the early summer streets, and the wind blowing in seemed sweet.

An Yu stroked the Little Orange Cat’s fur and said, “If my hands get itchy later, I’ll come back here to play again.”

As for An Pinghai and his wife, they would get used to it.

He was so valuable and obedient; an occasional fit of madness could be forgiven.

Having genuinely vented some anger for the Original Host, An Yu felt quite refreshed.

He was still smiling when he arrived at the hospital.

The elevator door opened, he looked up, and his back stiffened instantly.

Madam Xing, who had been smiling brightly at him at the wedding yesterday, now had a tightly strained, vivid face. It looked like she had been waiting for him.
