You Actually Dare to Command Me

The morning light was faint, casting dappled shadows on the room’s table through the carved wooden window. The air still held the lingering scent of last night’s intimacy, mixed with the cool, snowy pine fragrance emanating from Lian Mu.

Yun Suiyi was awakened by the heat of the hand resting on his waist.

His eyelashes fluttered, and the moment his consciousness returned, the absurd and intense scenes from the previous night flooded back like a tide. He moved his sore and weak limbs, feeling as though his entire body had been disassembled and reassembled, protesting with every joint.

Yun Suiyi slowly turned his head, his eyes immediately falling upon Lian Mu’s incomparably handsome face.

Lian Mu, at this moment, had shed the usual aloof and ascetic exterior of the Young Sect Master. His dark hair was spread out, and his expression was rare in its relaxation and softness. Long, thick eyelashes cast a small shadow beneath his eyelids, and his breathing was shallow, indicating he was still in deep sleep.

Looking at this face, a flame of anger instantly shot up in Yun Suiyi’s heart.

“What a fine Young Sect Master of the Cold Shadow Sect,” Yun Suiyi muttered through gritted teeth, his voice severely hoarse from last night’s indulgence. “He actually took advantage of me when I was drugged and my consciousness was blurred…”

The more Yun Suiyi thought about it, the angrier he became. Last night, he had fallen into the trap set by that beast Xiao Cheng, causing his Spiritual Power to run rampant and his consciousness to become chaotic. He only remembered Lian Mu saying something like, “Only this method can help you, otherwise you will explode and die.”

He had been in agonizing pain at the time and had no chance to think clearly.

Yun Suiyi endured the soreness throughout his body, attempting to break free from Lian Mu’s embrace. However, the other man’s arm was like an iron hoop, unmoving. He simply turned around to face Lian Mu, extended a finger, and fiercely poked his high-bridged nose.

“Hey, wake up.” He poked him hard.

Lian Mu’s brow furrowed almost imperceptibly. He slowly opened his deep eyes. After the initial confusion in his gaze dissipated, what came into view was Yun Suiyi’s pretty face, clearly inscribed with the words “time to settle the score.”

“Awake now?” Yun Suiyi raised an eyebrow, his tone unfriendly. “Young Sect Master Lian, shouldn’t you give me an explanation? What happened to being pure-hearted, desireless, and untouched by the dust of the world? Who was it whispering in my ear last night, ‘Don’t be afraid, I’m here’? Hmm?”

Lian Mu’s gaze slowly moved from Yun Suiyi’s angry face, down to the bruised marks on his body. His Adam’s apple subtly bobbed.

Instead of letting go, he tightened his arm, pulling Yun Suiyi even closer into his embrace. His warm breath fanned against Yun Suiyi’s neck.

“It hurts…” Yun Suiyi was caught off guard by the sudden tightening and cried out in pain. His fists weakly pounded against Lian Mu’s solid chest. “Lian Mu, you bastard! Let go of me right now! Be careful, or I’ll go to the Cold Shadow Sect and tell your master that you bullied me!”

Upon hearing this, Lian Mu didn’t get angry. Instead, a faint curve appeared at the corner of his mouth, carrying the lazy contentment and indulgence of someone who had been satisfied. He raised his other hand, gently grasping the fist Yun Suiyi was waving at his chest, and pressed it against his own heart.

“Tell him?” His deep, magnetic voice sounded in Yun Suiyi’s ear, husky from sleep and particularly alluring. “Fine, go tell him. And while you’re at it, tell Master that we have consummated our relationship, and ask him to prepare for our wedding immediately.”

“You!” Yun Suiyi’s face flushed instantly, half from anger and half from embarrassment. He hadn’t expected the usually taciturn and serious Lian Mu to speak such words without batting an eye!

“Who wants to marry you!” Yun Suiyi turned his head away, refusing to look into those eyes that seemed capable of sucking in souls. “You took advantage of the situation! If I had been sober, I wouldn’t have…”

“Wouldn’t have what?” Lian Mu asked leisurely, his large hand gently stroking Yun Suiyi’s silk-like dark hair, his movements extremely tender. “Wouldn’t have let me touch you? Or wouldn’t have let me… do this?”

As he spoke, he leaned slightly, his thin lips brushing against Yun Suiyi’s earlobe.

Yun Suiyi stiffened all over, goosebumps rising. The heart-stirring sensations he had deliberately ignored last night instantly returned.

He pushed Lian Mu away in exasperation. “Lian Mu! You are shameless!”

Lian Mu tightened his arms, giving Yun Suiyi no chance to escape, yet his voice softened to an extreme, carrying a power that was deeply seductive.

“Yiyi,” Lian Mu called Yun Suiyi’s name intimately for the first time when both were fully conscious and not merely acting to deceive others. His voice was low and solemn. “I overstepped last night, but I did not take advantage of you. If I hadn’t done that, the medicine in your body would have torn you apart. I…”

He paused, seemingly weighing his words, then sighed, holding him even tighter, resting his chin on the crown of Yun Suiyi’s head. His tone was unprecedentedly soft and helpless:

“I am fond of you. From the first moment I saw you in Pingyang City, you captured my heart. Last night… was my fault, but it was the only way to save you. I accept any beating or scolding you wish to give, but only one thing…”

Yun Suiyi’s struggling strength had already dissipated by more than half when he heard the words “I am fond of you.”

Now, hearing the subsequent, almost cloyingly sweet coaxing, he completely froze in Lian Mu’s arms, his earlobes burning red.

“…What thing?” he asked muffledly, like a cat whose fur had been smoothed down.

Lian Mu lowered his head, his nose gently brushing against Yun Suiyi’s, his gaze focused and affectionate, as if looking at the only treasure in the world. “Don’t mention leaving. Stay by my side and let me protect you, alright?”

As he spoke, he gently rubbed the back of Yun Suiyi’s neck with his thumb—a sensitive spot he had discovered last night that Yun Suiyi was quite susceptible to.

Yun Suiyi felt a tingling sensation from the rubbing. All his anger and thoughts of settling the score vanished under this gentle offensive.

He grumbled awkwardly, burying his face in Lian Mu’s warm chest, listening to his steady, powerful heartbeat, and muttered softly:

“…Who wants to stay by your side? You always bully me.”

A trace of a smile spread in Lian Mu’s eyes. Knowing he had been successfully placated, he tightened his arms, locking the person securely in his embrace, and placed a soft kiss on his hair.

“Yes,” Lian Mu responded in a low voice, his tone full of indulgence. “It was my fault for letting Yiyi suffer grievances. In the future, I will certainly compensate you properly.”

Outside the window, the morning light was perfect. Yun Suiyi nestled in Lian Mu’s arms, hearing the word “compensate,” and his little internal abacus started clicking again.

Compensation? He needed to think carefully about how to “settle the score” so thoroughly that he could pluck every last feather from this “Young Sect Master.”

Wait, Yun Suiyi suddenly realized. Last night, Lian Mu took advantage of him and threatened him not to seek out Xiao Cheng.

Thinking of this, the slight smile on Yun Suiyi’s face instantly dropped, replaced by a thin layer of anger.

He was like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, his voice rising several octaves. “Lian Mu! Why did you force me last night to agree not to see Xiao Cheng? I’m not a three-year-old child who needs you to manage everything!

He glared at Lian Mu, puffing out his cheeks, demanding an explanation. “Do you think my Spiritual Power is too low? Or do you think I, Yun Suiyi, am morally corrupt and would sell myself out for revenge?”

Lian Mu looked at the suddenly bristling Yun Suiyi, feeling helpless yet finding him endearing. “Nonsense,” Lian Mu’s voice was deep and gentle, carrying a soothing power. He gently patted Yun Suiyi’s back, like comforting a child. “I was worried about you.”

Yun Suiyi struggled slightly in his arms, stubbornly insisting, “Then why wouldn’t you let me go! You just don’t trust me!”

“Yiyi,” Lian Mu sighed, resting his chin lightly on the top of Yun Suiyi’s head, rubbing his soft hair. “Xiao Cheng has experienced a great deal at his age. His heart is much darker than you imagine. I know Yiyi has always been very capable and has met all sorts of people, but Xiao Cheng is different. The fact that he can lead the Azure Cloud Sect to secure a spot in the top ten Immortal Sects, and that his disgusting deeds haven’t been exposed for so many years, is enough to show that his cunning and methods are incalculable.”

His tone grew softer, carrying a hint of almost imperceptible apology. “It was thoughtless of me. I spoke too harshly. Don’t be angry anymore, hmm? Aside from this matter with Xiao Cheng, I will comply with anything else you want to do, alright?”

Listening to Lian Mu’s gentle explanation and feeling the warmth of the person in his arms, the surge of unwarranted anger felt like it had been doused with warm water. Although still a little sullen, most of it had dissipated.

He awkwardly lifted his head from Lian Mu’s embrace, his eyes slightly red, and mumbled, “But you were so fierce just now…”

“When was I fierce?” Lian Mu was torn between laughter and tears. He raised his hand and gently pinched Yun Suiyi’s cheeks, which were slightly flushed with anger. “I was clearly afraid you would fall into the wrong person’s trap. My Yiyi is the most intelligent and perceptive. Don’t ruin your health over such a small matter.”

He leaned down and placed a light kiss on the corner of Yun Suiyi’s lips, a gesture of appeasement. “Not angry anymore? What do you want to eat later? I’ll have the Azure Cloud Sect disciples prepare it.”

Yun Suiyi was somewhat overwhelmed by this barrage of tenderness. The anger on his face completely transformed into shyness. He gently pushed Lian Mu away. “Who needs you to coax them… But, since you put it that way… I want the candy you bought me yesterday.”

“Good, I’ll indulge you in everything.” Lian Mu agreed with a smile, his eyes full of affection.

Xiao Cheng, who had waited in his room all night without seeing anyone, instantly became restless after hearing a disciple report that Yun Suiyi was alive and that the two of them had just eaten lunch at the hour of Si (9-11 AM). He rushed over without delay.

Just as he reached the door, Xiao Cheng heard the two of them arguing.

Yun Suiyi’s expression quickly shifted from surprise to indignation. He spun around abruptly, his peach blossom eyes slightly narrowed, filled with the fury of being offended. “Lian Mu, you actually dare to command me.”

He advanced step by step, with a somewhat aggressive demeanor. “If I don’t go see the Immortal Master, should I just watch you shoulder everything alone? What do you take me for? Your canary in a cage?”

A hint of grievance and hurt entered Yun Suiyi’s voice. “I thought we were being honest with each other. It turns out you still don’t trust me, afraid that I’ll cause you trouble, is that right?”

Hearing this, Xiao Cheng immediately pushed the door open and urgently asked, “Is there anything you need my help with?”

Lian Mu had no time to spare for Xiao Cheng. Seeing Yun Suiyi’s eyes quickly redden, looking as if he was about to shed golden tears, Lian Mu’s heart instantly softened.

He stepped forward, tightly gripping Yun Suiyi’s hand, which was trying to push him away, and pulled him into his embrace. His voice carried an unprecedented seriousness and depth of feeling. “Yiyi, I have never regarded you as a burden, nor have I ever distrusted you. You are my treasure.”

He lowered his head, resting his forehead against Yun Suiyi’s, his gaze burning. “It is precisely because I care about you so much that I don’t want you to worry about these mundane matters.”

Lian Mu’s voice grew even softer, carrying a seductive quality. “I was wrong. I shouldn’t have used that tone with you. Don’t be angry anymore, alright? Any beating or punishment is up to you.”

Listening to these sincere words and feeling the warmth of Lian Mu’s palm and his rapid heartbeat, the fabricated sense of grievance and anger instantly vanished, leaving only a soft tenderness.

He stubbornly huffed but stopped struggling. “You said it yourself. Any beating or… Mmm…”

Lian Mu didn’t wait for him to finish, lowering his head and sealing his incessant mouth with a deep kiss, pouring all his comfort and affection into it.

After a long time, he reluctantly pulled away, looking at Yun Suiyi’s slightly red lips and hazy eyes, and chuckled softly. “Then the punishment will be… you are not allowed to get out of bed tonight.”

Yun Suiyi finally realized he had been “coaxed.” Two blushes quickly flew onto his face. He glared at Lian Mu reproachfully, but all the anger from before was gone.

Xiao Cheng, who had been ignored on the side, looked at Yun Suiyi’s appearance, his entire being radiating desire and greed.
