Domineering Moral Animal Husbandry: Where Can Sanhua’S Lovely Wife Escape? Chapter 2
byChapter 2 German Shepherd
Sanhua began his long journey toward obtaining his certificates.
Although Da Bu didn’t allow him to approach the House of Ragdoll, he had given him some extra financial compensation. Sanhua used this money to open a Cat Café.
Fifty thousand high-grade Dried Fish. Ten thousand were used to rent a storefront in the commercial district, ten thousand to hire staff, and thirty thousand remained for him to squander as he pleased. How could such a wonderful thing exist in this world!
Although it wasn’t very nice to say, Sanhua felt that Da Bu was like a robotic cat that regularly dispensed money. He hoped Da Bu would keep dispensing it forever.
Standing in his own café, Sanhua’s heart was filled with well-wishes for his cheap older brother.
Ding-dong.
The bell outside the door rang. Wearing a small pink lace apron, Sanhua smiled to welcome the guest.
Welcome, meow!
Mee! The waiter closest to the door was startled, his fur puffing up into a ball.
The figure entering was far too tall for a Cat Café. He had a coat of sleek, jet-black fur, with powerful muscles rippling beneath the smooth surface as he walked, exuding immense strength.
His sturdy frame was at least two… no, three times as tall as Sanhua, taking up most of the space at the entrance.
Another much smaller figure followed closely behind the newcomer, saying cheerfully, “How about it? Do you feel more relaxed? I told you this place was great. As working dogs like us, we need to treat ourselves better.”
Sanhua recognized the voice from behind as a regular at the café—Mr. Corgi.
A-Ke finally managed to circle around from behind his companion. He glanced up enviously at the other’s long legs before trotting to the counter on his own four short legs. Pulling out his phone, he said, “Little Sanhua, the usual. Two lattes, and find us a quiet booth.”
“Mr. Corgi…” Sanhua looked at the tall German Shepherd in front of him.
“I know, I know,” A-Ke interjected smoothly. “I’ll pay triple the seating fee. To be honest, I’m used to it with Ade around. It can’t be helped; one of him takes up the space of three. Alright, I’ve transferred the money, please check it.”
The German Shepherd ignored his complaints.
In fact, if A-Ke hadn’t insisted on bringing him here for some cat sniffing, they could have chosen a dog pub more suited to them.
—Braised marrow bone-flavored liquor was what a fierce dog should be drinking!
“Please follow me.” Sanhua deftly prepared the coffee and led the two of them to a prepared booth.
The spacious area was enough for a large dog like the German Shepherd to stretch out and curl up comfortably in a donut-shaped cushion.
The latest work by a Meow Kingdom musician played in the air. The cat purrs interspersed within the light music made tense nerves relax, as if sinking into the center of a marshmallow warmed by the sun.
The latte, with added milk and sugar, gave off a sweet aroma.
The cold aura surrounding the German Shepherd seemed to dissolve in the sweet scent.
“How about it? I didn’t lie, did I?” A-Ke winked at the German Shepherd. “I’m telling you, your size is nothing. There are plenty of large animals who like hitting the cat here at Little Sanhua’s. There’s even a Cow Cat who has a monthly subscription. Look, she’s right over there.”
Using a term like cat sniffing in front of another cat was somewhat offensive. The German Shepherd’s ears twitched, and he silenced A-Ke with a stern look.
“Sorry,” he explained on behalf of his colleague. “A-Ke is just blunt.”
Sanhua hadn’t expected him to have such a personality—fierce on the outside but a gentleman at heart. He looked at those soft, black ears that had suddenly perked up on the dog’s head due to his owner’s guilt, looking incredibly cute. Resisting the urge to give them a scratch, Sanhua smiled and said, “It’s no problem. It is the Cat Café’s honor to make our guests feel comfortable. Please enjoy, and call me if you need anything.”
A long, grey, white, and orange calico tail slipped past the tip of his nose. It felt as if a stray cat hair had landed on his snout, making it itch.
German Shepherd: “Thank you.”
…He didn’t know if Sanhua heard him.
Listening to the light music, he gradually relaxed his tense muscles. His body, like black satin, sank into the cream-colored cushion. In the sunlight, his strong, powerful tail thudded rhythmically against the floor.
The German Shepherd took a sip of the rich coffee, his ears twitching with pleasure.
A-Ke was right; the Cat Café really was a good place.
Author’s Note
German Shepherd: Cat sniffing? Is this some kind of illicit business? I’ll conduct an undercover investigation.
…
So fragrant!
Sniffing intensely!
