[Conan] Black And Silver: The Bond Of Rivals Chapter 6
byPort Hunt (He Can Only Be Mine)
Three days passed in the blink of an eye.
Night once again shrouded Haido Port, the sea breeze carrying a damp, cold chill as it swept across the entire pier.
A dark deal destined to set the whole city ablaze was about to begin here.
The FBI’s tactical vehicle was hidden behind a distant high-rise. Jodie Starling stared at the surveillance screen, her expression tense. “Shu, the target has entered the designated area. The Organization’s defenses are tight; there’s a high probability Gin is on-site.”
Shuichi Akai leaned against the car window, his fingertips lightly tapping the body of his rifle, his emerald eyes calm and steady.
He gazed at the dark sea in the distance, but his thoughts were unusually chaotic.
He knew that this time, Gin wasn’t here for a deal.
He was here for him.
“Proceed according to the original plan. Stay hidden and don’t act rashly,” Shuichi Akai ordered in a low voice.
“You’re going in person?” Jodie was startled. “It’s too dangerous. Gin is clearly coming for you!”
“If I don’t go, this play won’t be able to reach its conclusion.”
Shuichi Akai put on his knit cap and pushed open the car door, his figure quickly melting into the night.
“I’ll be careful.”
Deep within the port, shipping containers stood in staggered rows.
Gin leaned against his Porsche, a cigarette held between his fingers. The crimson glow flickered in the dark night.
His long silver-gray hair fluttered slightly in the wind, and his cold green eyes had already locked onto the figure stepping slowly out of the shadows.
Vodka stood to the side, not daring to even breathe loudly.
He understood clearly that this deal had been a ruse from start to finish.
His boss’s true objective had only ever been one person.
Shuichi Akai.
“It really is you,” Gin spoke slowly, his voice deep and magnetic, carrying a hint of a determined smile. “I knew you would come.”
“Give it up, Gin,” Shuichi Akai said, standing tall not far away. “This place is surrounded. You can’t escape.”
“Escape?”
Gin let out a low chuckle, his laughter filled with mockery and resolve. “Why would I run?”
He stepped forward slowly, each stride carrying a crushing sense of pressure.
“From the very beginning, I never intended to hide.”
“Drawing you out was my only goal.”
The distance between them continued to shrink, the air nearly solidifying.
Jodie’s voice rang urgently in the earpiece: “Shu! Evacuate immediately! It’s a trap!”
Shuichi Akai ignored her.
He met Gin’s gaze and said word for word, “I am FBI, and you are an assassin for the Organization. Between us, there are only sides, nothing else.”
“Sides?”
Gin suddenly reached out and grabbed his wrist with a steady, forceful grip.
Before Shuichi Akai could resist, he was pulled violently forward until their chests were almost touching.
“With me, you don’t have a side.”
Gin lowered his head, his breath brushing against the other man’s ear, his voice cold yet earnest:
“You only have one identity—”
“The person deeply entangled with me.”
The surrounding Organization members closed in instantly, forming an airtight human wall.
In the distance, police sirens and FBI tactical orders rang out simultaneously; the situation was on a hair-trigger.
Shuichi Akai’s brow furrowed as he tried to break free. “Let go!”
“Let go?”
Instead, Gin gripped him even tighter, his other hand wrapping around the small of his back to hold him firmly in front of him.
His green eyes swept over the approaching lights, his dominance and resolve surging.
“You want to take him away from me?”
“You’ll have to go through me first.”
He looked down at the man in his arms, his gaze obsessive and burning:
“Shuichi Akai, listen closely.
Today, even if the FBI and the police all show up, I am taking you away from here.”
“No one can stop me.”
The sea breeze howled as the situation grew dire.
Amidst the chaos, Gin shielded the man in front of him and strode toward the Porsche.
The black car door was slammed shut, and the engine let out a wild roar as it broke through the perimeter, vanishing into the vast night.
Leaving behind only a chaotic port and Jodie’s frantic, out-of-control shouts over the earpiece.
Inside the car, there was dead silence.
Gin controlled the steering wheel with one hand, while the other never let go of Shuichi Akai.
“You’re being too impulsive,” Shuichi Akai’s voice was slightly hoarse.
Gin turned his head to look at him, his eyes filled with ultimate obsession:
“From the day I met you, I could no longer remain a bystander.”
“Now, you are finally by my side.”
