Chapter 9 Title: The Address: Husband, Where Am I Sleeping Tonight?

A new term quietly appeared on the trending topics list, immediately climbing to the top.

#CEO Jiang and Yu You Publicly Announce Relationship#

Star Sky Entertainment reposted the official statement released by Jiang Xunzhou’s account, announcing that the legal team would be suing the marketing accounts that initially spread the surveillance footage for invasion of privacy and defamation.

The statement concluded by explaining that the reason the two appeared at the hotel was for the filming of a campus drama, supervised by Star Sky Entertainment, with Yu You playing a role. However, the media attention had disrupted the order of the crew and the hotel, forcing them to temporarily leave.

[Ahhh, so Little Yu and CEO Jiang were staying at the hotel because they were filming, but the media wouldn’t leave, so they couldn’t continue shooting, and that’s why they only left now?]

[Maybe they initially wanted to keep their relationship low-key and handle the rumors quietly, but they underestimated the power of the gossip crowd. The hot search couldn’t be suppressed; it was taken down at night only to climb back up during the day. They had no choice but to admit it tonight.]

[Well, well, well, so CEO Jiang personally supervising the drama was just an excuse for dating on company time!]

[Wait a minute, this drama is an adaptation of my favorite campus novel. Why did it start filming without any promotion?]

The public relations team subtly guided the narrative, taking the opportunity to promote the drama they were supervising. Since the female lead had not been publicly announced, Jiang Mingyan’s information was revealed for the first time.

Jiang Mingyan, previously unknown, was cast as the female lead, acting alongside a Best Actor and a Top Tier male lead, sparking a frenzy of discussion.

“Brother, you pushed me out there just to divert public attention? Are you even human?!”

Jiang Mingyan called, her voice full of accusation and dissatisfaction.

Jiang Xunzhou’s voice held a lazy smile: “The buzz is high right now. Revealing this now saves the crew a fortune in publicity costs—this day was coming sooner or later. Haven’t you been prepared for this?”

The crew had been filming for a week. Since it was studio shooting, they managed to secretly start filming and keep the news under wraps. Once they moved to the next location, actor road photos would be everywhere, making it impossible to hide.

Jiang Mingyan had long anticipated this day; she was just complaining casually before getting straight to the point, eagerly asking, “But when did you and Little Yu get together? I didn’t even notice!”

How could she notice? Because it wasn’t real.

Jiang Xunzhou gave a perfunctory answer: “Recently.”

At the same time, the male third lead, Fang You, was exposed for privately abusing his assistant and for secretly contacting wealthy female fans during his time on a talent show. The trending list instantly became lively, almost entirely dominated by topics related to the drama crew.

Unaware of the commotion outside, Yu You pulled Shi Sanlin into a corner of the balcony and told him about his relationship with Jiang Xunzhou.

Shi Sanlin swallowed, feeling dizzy: “Is it, is it because you were exposed, so now you two are?…”

    Yu You nodded: “Yes.”

    “I understand.”

Shi Sanlin looked serious: “Because this incident blew up too much, CEO Jiang was afraid of the negative impact, so he publicly announced his relationship with you. Once the heat dies down, he’ll break up with you privately.”

Yu You thought for a moment: “That’s pretty much the idea.”

Once Jiang Xunzhou successfully obtained the 2% share of Jianghe Group through him, their contract as fake partners would end.

Shi Sanlin looked regretful and remorseful: “It’s my fault. I didn’t realize you were drugged. I thought you just had a normal low fever like last time and went back alone. If I hadn’t left, you and CEO Jiang wouldn’t have…”

    “No, no, it’s not that.”

Yu You quickly interrupted, afraid Shi Sanlin would take the blame. He hesitated, then whispered, “Actually, I went upstairs to find CEO Jiang on my own…”

Jiang Xunzhou, who had finished his call in the living room, walked a few steps closer and happened to hear the last sentence from the balcony, causing him to pause.

Shi Sanlin’s surprised and doubtful question drifted over: “You went to CEO Jiang?…”

Yu You had his back to Jiang Xunzhou. He nodded earnestly, his tone sincere: “I was willing myself. Otherwise, why would I suddenly appear on that floor? It’s because I only wanted to find him—no one else would do.”

    —No one else would do.

What did that mean? It meant that for Yu You, only he was acceptable.

Jiang Xunzhou savored the phrase, tasting a hint of sweetness, and the corners of his lips curved slightly upward.

Shi Sanlin worried: “Little Yu, you shouldn’t think like that. The difference in status between you and CEO Jiang is too great. You’ll be taken advantage of.”

Yu You whispered: “Brother Shi, I know. I’m not greedy. Just this little bit of time together is enough.”

A light cough came from behind them.

The two people in the corner of the balcony were startled simultaneously. They turned around and finally noticed Jiang Xunzhou a few steps away.

Shi Sanlin awkwardly greeted him: “CEO Jiang.”

Jiang Xunzhou gave a cool, indifferent acknowledgment: “It’s late. Little Yu is not suitable to go back to his place tonight. I’ll trouble you to go to his dorm apartment tomorrow, pack his luggage, and bring it over.”

Shi Sanlin’s eyes widened in horror, his tongue tied: “Th-th-th-then he’s s-s-s-s-s-sleeping—”

Jiang Xunzhou raised an eyebrow: “Sleeping here with me. What, do you have an objection?”

Shi Sanlin shook his head like a rattle drum: “No, no, of course not!”

He naturally understood that Jiang Xunzhou was issuing a dismissal, so he quickly said, “Then I’ll head back now. I’ll bring Little Yu’s luggage tomorrow.”

The matter of cohabiting for show had been discussed in advance in the Study Room, so Yu You wasn’t surprised. He nodded and said, “I’ll walk Brother Shi out.”

As they parted at the door, Yu You stopped Shi Sanlin and lowered his voice: “Brother Shi, tomorrow I’ll buy medicine on a delivery app and have it sent to the apartment door. Could you please bring it over quietly for me?”

    He emphasized the word quietly.

Although Shi Sanlin didn’t understand why, he readily agreed: “Don’t worry, leave it to me.”

Yu You finally relieved a major worry in his heart and sighed. He touched his stomach, his ears flushed, and felt a little troubled.

He and Jiang Xunzhou hadn’t used any protection.

He hoped the medicine in this world would also work for males.

After seeing Shi Sanlin off, Yu You closed the door and walked back a few steps.

The spacious house became completely quiet, appearing somewhat empty.

Jiang Xunzhou was still on the phone. He responded, “Got it. I’ll bring him back to see you in a while.”

As he spoke, the man raised his gaze, looked at Yu You, and said calmly, “Yes, he’s right next to me. We’re living together now.”

Without others present, Yu You now felt a sense of belated awkwardness.

From now on, the two of them were fake lovers.

To make it look real and avoid accidentally being photographed revealing flaws, they needed to interact as a couple even in private.

    What should he do?

Yu You hesitantly walked over, his fingers gripping the corner of Jiang Xunzhou’s shirt, giving it a tug.

    “Dad, hold on.”

Jiang Xunzhou moved the phone away slightly and looked at Yu You, his tone very patient: “Little Fish Baby, what is it?”

His voice was gentle, even slightly coaxing.

It sounded too tender. Even knowing it was fake, Yu You couldn’t help his cheeks heating up. He whispered, “Should I… say hello to Uncle and the others?”

The address was clumsy and revealed a careful awkwardness.

The words on this side were heard by Su Qiuling on the other end of the line. She snatched the phone and said, “Quick, quick! Give the phone to Little Yu, let me talk to him!”

The voice call was put on speakerphone and handed to Yu You. A woman’s surprised voice came through: “Is that Little Yu?”

Yu You lowered his long eyelashes, his moist red lips pressed together. He said obediently, “Hello, Auntie. I am Yu You.”

The opposite side responded joyfully: “Good, good. This rascal Xunzhou, he didn’t even tell his family when he started dating. We only found out these last two days! Come back and have a family meal with us when you’re free.”

Yu You held the phone and nodded obediently: “Okay, okay.”

Jiang Xunzhou didn’t listen to what they were saying from beginning to end. He simply lowered his eyes and watched Yu You.

Yu You spoke a few more words with the other side, even greeting Jiang Xunzhou’s father, Jiang Junran, before handing the phone back to Jiang Xunzhou.

    “Husband…”

Yu You subconsciously raised his gaze, meeting Jiang Xunzhou’s eyes directly.

Jiang Xunzhou was just staring at him.

Yu You’s words caught in his throat. He remembered what he was supposed to say and quickly added, “I, I finished talking.”

Jiang Xunzhou took the phone, responded briefly to the other side, and hung up.

After all that commotion, it was now late at night.

Yu You wanted to ask where he would sleep tonight. He opened his mouth: “CEO Jiang, then tonight I…”

    “Wrong address.”

    Jiang Xunzhou suddenly interrupted.

Yu You was stunned. Being stared at like that gave him the nervousness of taking an exam. He called out: “Husband.”

The corner of Jiang Xunzhou’s mouth lifted into a barely perceptible arc. He acknowledged him lazily: “Mm.”

Yu You couldn’t help but question: “But if it’s a work setting, should I still call you that?”

    Jiang Xunzhou countered: “Why not?”

Yu You looked troubled: “Wouldn’t that be too mushy?”

    Mushy?

Jiang Xunzhou almost fainted from exasperation.

He hadn’t complained about calling him Little Fish Baby being mushy, and he had given Yu You the right to call him Husband in public.

And Yu You dared to be unwilling?

Jiang Xunzhou’s tone was stiff: “Then what do you want to call me?”

Yu You said: “Even if we are dating, you are still my boss. In a work setting, I think calling you CEO Jiang is more appropriate.”

Jiang Xunzhou’s expression grew colder: “Suit yourself.”

Yu You’s eyes curved, his voice sweet: “Thank you, Husband.”

Then he asked: “Husband, where am I sleeping tonight?”

Jiang Xunzhou raised an eyebrow: “There’s a Guest Bedroom. Are you going to sleep there?”

Yu You felt utterly confused, his tone full of doubt: “Since there’s a Guest Bedroom, why wouldn’t I sleep there?”

Jiang Xunzhou let out a soft scoff.

Just moments ago on the balcony, he was adamantly claiming that no one else would do, and now he was putting on this act. He certainly understood how to play hard to get.

He might not be able to resist in the middle of the night, secretly coming to the master bedroom to climb into his bed and snuggle into his arms.

Jiang Xunzhou crossed his arms and nodded: “Fine, you sleep in the Guest Bedroom tonight.”

He wanted to see if this scheming Minor Celebrity truly had that much self-control.
