Chapter 6 Heat Period: You’re Already Done?

    Hot.

An overwhelming wave of heat swept over Yu You. The cold water flowing over his skin offered no relief; the internal dryness burned hotter and hotter like a flame.

Beneath the thin skin of his neck, the newly formed Gland pulsed, crying out for attention.

Inside the bathroom, his phone’s notification tone rang several times. The delivery app showed that the food and water had arrived at the room door.

Yu You braced his weak arms and slowly climbed out of the bathtub, nearly stumbling in a pathetic heap halfway through.

Strings of water droplets fell, leaving a trail of wet marks.

He placed his palm against the wall, taking slow, deliberate steps toward the door, struggling to move the table and chairs blocking the entrance.

Just as the door opened, a conversation drifted from the far end of the corridor outside.

“What was the room number for that actor, Yu You, staying today?”

“Let me check… 1503. Should be right around the corner.”

“Wasn’t that Jiang Zong’s assistant who stopped us in the lobby? Scared me for a second. Good thing he just asked us to deliver some food and check on Yu You’s fever.”

“Oh, did you notice? Jiang Zong looked terrible. He kept holding his forehead, like he was sick.”

“Forget it. We’re just delivering food. Once we confirm he’s fine, let’s hurry back to sleep. We have an early start tomorrow.”

The two people chatted and laughed, carrying several takeout containers, counting room numbers as they walked.

They reached 1503, only to find the door ajar and the room empty.

    “Where is he?…”

“Did he go out? Hey, don’t you think this room smells really good?…”

    Faint, questioning voices drifted in.

In the nearby Fire Escape, Yu You leaned his back against the door, breathing lightly. He regretted his momentary panic upon hearing the voices, instinctively hiding far away. By the time he realized he didn’t need to run, it was too late.

Footsteps and the sound of several girls talking echoed from downstairs, growing closer.

Yu You’s fingers trembled. He covered his lips, his slender body swaying. He stumbled up the stairs.

The entire world seemed to spin. The similar stairwell scenery felt like a never-ending maze.

Yu You’s consciousness was burning, his whole body weak from the heat, until he finally couldn’t walk anymore, nearly exhausted. He pushed open the stairwell door.

Bright light poured in, illuminating a long corridor carpeted with soft material.

    “Get lost!”

A voice of disgusted reprimand rang out.

Yu You’s mind was muddled. He looked up blankly.

A few steps away, Fang You was sprawled on the floor, his clothes disheveled. Jiang Xunzhou was wrapped in a bathrobe, his chest heaving, flushed red, his lowered brows holding a look of fierce hostility.

Fang You offered a fawning smile: “Jiang Zong, I just wanted to help you…”

“Cut the act. Do you think I can’t see through you?”

Jiang Xunzhou looked down at him, his gaze as cold as if he were looking at trash: “Either get out yourself, or I’ll call security right now to drag you out of the hotel and dump you on the street. You choose.”

    “I, I…”

A trace of fear appeared on Fang You’s face. He quickly got up. This time, he finally noticed Yu You, lowered his head in embarrassment, and hurriedly left in the opposite direction.

Jiang Xunzhou also spotted Yu You not far away. He paused, softening his tone: “What are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be resting in your room?”

The young man was soaking wet, his hair dripping water. He was barefoot on the carpet, his toes pink, but he looked completely dazed, the corners of his eyes flushed red.

“Running around in wet clothes while you have a fever? Where are your shoes?”

Jiang Xunzhou had a terrible headache. He took a few steps closer: “Never mind. Come with me. I’ve already called the family doctor…”

Yu You just stood there, staring up at him blankly.

His gaze traveled downward, sweeping over Jiang Xunzhou’s brows, deep-set eyes, high nose bridge, and finally resting on his pale red, thin lips.

Yu You’s thoughts were hazy, and he inappropriately recalled rumors he had once heard.

They said that Alphas with prominent noses… were also very strong in that regard.

    Is that true?

The young man’s thick eyelashes fluttered. His cat-like eyes stared intently at Jiang Xunzhou’s face, generating a sense of thirst. He swallowed lightly.

An Omega’s sense of smell is magnified several times during their Heat Period. Yu You inhaled the sharp scent of vetiver from the man in front of him. His blood seemed to ignite, generating even more desire.

    Want…

The man’s large hand wrapped around Yu You’s wrist, the heat scalding.

The moment their skin touched, a satisfying comfort spread throughout his body like an electric current. His entire bloodstream seemed to boil, craving closer contact.

“Let me make this clear first. I’m taking care of you because you’re an artist in my company, it’s just a courtesy. Don’t harbor any unrealistic fantasies—”

    Jiang Xunzhou spoke bluntly.

The next moment, Yu You stood on his tiptoes, his long lashes half-closed, and pressed his lips against Jiang Xunzhou’s.

Jiang Xunzhou’s words abruptly cut off. His pupils widened in uncontrollable shock.

    So… soft.

Only this thought remained in Jiang Xunzhou’s mind. His Adam’s apple bobbed violently. His fingers stiffly circled Yu You’s wrist, forgetting what he had originally intended to do.

The warm softness, carrying damp moisture, pressed against his lips, lightly nibbling like a small animal. The faint scent of Iris Flower lingered around his nose.

Jiang Xunzhou finally reacted. He pushed Yu You away, shocked and angry: “You!…”

The young man who was pushed back took two steps backward, lifted his face, his eyes glistening, breathing softly. He let out a confused “Hmm?”

As if wondering why Jiang Xunzhou had pushed him away.

    “I, I’m warning you.”

Jiang Xunzhou’s ears were burning red. He pressed the back of his hand against his own lips, angrily accusing: “Don’t take advantage of your youth and think you can act recklessly without me getting angry!—”

Before he could finish, Yu You leaned in again. His pink-tinged fingers grabbed the collar of Jiang Xunzhou’s bathrobe, colliding with his lips once more, rubbing and licking awkwardly and clumsily.

It was less like a kiss and more like a kitten trying hard to express affection.

Jiang Xunzhou reached out to pull him away, but Yu You recklessly moved closer, wrapping his arms around his neck.

    “Why can’t I?”

The young man, rejected multiple times, looked at him with clear, watery eyes, full of grievance. His full lips, a vibrant rosy color, parted slightly: “Husband, kiss…”

Jiang Xunzhou’s face flushed hot when he heard that: “What did you call me? Who allowed you to call me that?”

Yu You asked, confused: “Aren’t you my Alpha? Then you’re my husband.”

The young man’s voice was soft and gentle, laced with a hint of a plea.

    What Alpha?

Jiang Xunzhou was utterly bewildered. In that moment of distraction, the young man in front of him burrowed into his arms, whimpering and complaining pitifully: “Husband, why won’t you hug me?”

He couldn’t push him away. After this happened several times, Jiang Xunzhou’s own fire was ignited.

Jiang Xunzhou’s breathing quickened. His lowered eyes seemed to burn with a hot, dangerous flame. He gripped Yu You’s slender waist, his voice hoarse: “You brought this upon yourself.”

He wrapped one arm around the young man’s waist and hooked the other under his knees, lifting him into a bridal carry, and strode toward the hotel room.

The room door slammed shut with a loud bang.

The suite’s circular bathtub was large, easily accommodating two bodies. The water surface rocked, rising and falling, splashing onto the floor.

Yu You sat on Jiang Xunzhou’s lap, cupping his cheeks and kissing him.

Lips pressed together, tongues twining and stirring, transparent saliva dripped into the air.

    “Mmm…”

The young man’s face was small, sweaty. His long lashes fluttered like butterfly wings dampened by rain. A tempting blush spread across the thin skin at the corner of his eyes. The moan he let out at the end was filled with satisfaction.

Jiang Xunzhou bit his lip, pulling back slightly, and asked in a low voice: “Did you hear someone tried to drug me and specifically came upstairs to find me?”

Yu You didn’t understand what he was saying at all. He just tilted his head, humming softly, and said with a hint of urgency: “Husband, more kisses.”

Jiang Xunzhou refused to indulge him. He pinched Yu You’s chin, his voice containing a malicious laugh: “Then tell me honestly, do you like me?”

Yu You, his reason completely burned away by the Heat Period, just nodded wildly, leaning in and rubbing his warm lips against Jiang Xunzhou’s mouth, speaking incoherently: “Like, like… Waaah… want kisses…”

A look of pleasure surfaced in Jiang Xunzhou’s eyes. He let out a soft hum: “I knew it.”

He finally relented, lowering his head and kissing Yu You back.

The young man opened his soft lips, actively accepting and eagerly responding.

The bathroom was hazy with steam. The humid temperature seemed to rise steadily. In the enclosed space, the sticky sound of water seemed magnified several times.

Their breaths mingled. Their wet, hot tongues intertwined. A tingling current spread through their nerve endings, traveling throughout their bodies, making their limbs weak with pleasure.

Jiang Xunzhou’s scalp tingled with pleasure. He finally understood why couples were so keen on hugging and kissing.

It was indeed an incredibly wonderful thing.

The young man’s tongue was soft and fragrant, sweet. If he kissed too hard, Yu You would let out a soft, pleading moan, but he wouldn’t resist. He was incredibly obedient, making Jiang Xunzhou feel hot all over and giving rise to more intimate, more wicked thoughts.

Jiang Xunzhou took the initiative, tasting the young man’s wet, red lips repeatedly and without restraint, exploring every corner, kissing more urgently, licking and sucking, twining and lingering, even carrying a hint of forcefulness.

His chest was hot. His heart was beating abnormally fast. He could barely distinguish whether it was the effect of the drug or the desire that had been drawn out. He only knew that when he held the young man in his arms, his heart swelled with a light, airy satisfaction.

Jiang Xunzhou greedily sucked on Yu You’s tongue. The kiss became too intense, finally eliciting dissatisfaction.

The young man opened his misty, watery eyes, his voice muffled and slightly tearful: “You, you be gentle…”

Jiang Xunzhou remembered opening Yu You’s Social Media Engagement Weibo that afternoon and seeing several flattering comments chasing after him, calling him ‘Baby.’

At the time, he had scoffed, finding it sickening.

Now, however, he felt that the nickname was indeed very fitting for Yu You.

Jiang Xunzhou chuckled softly: “Fussy baby.”

He reached out, his warm fingertip gently wiping away the glistening tear at the corner of the young man’s eye, and lowered his head to kiss him again.

The doorbell outside the room rang repeatedly, but no one answered.

Jiang Xunzhou’s phone lay on the carpet, hidden beneath crumpled clothes. It vibrated and rang several times before the battery died, and the screen went black, shutting down automatically.

The bedroom curtains were drawn thick, making the view dim. Only a faint nightlight was on by the bed. An ambiguous atmosphere floated in the air.

This was the first time Jiang Xunzhou had encountered someone so clingy. Yu You would demand a hug one moment, then lean over to ask for a kiss the next. If he was too slow or too gentle, Yu You would get angry. He was incredibly demanding, as if suffering from skin hunger, unable to be separated for a moment.

When he wanted water, Jiang Xunzhou had to hold and feed him by hand. His rosy lips pressed against the cup rim. He drank the water hastily, ignoring the spilled liquid that dampened his chin, before impatiently kissing him again.

Even late into the night, after the indulgence ended and he was exhausted and ready to sleep, the young man nestled dependently in his arms.

His fan-like long lashes fell, casting a shallow shadow. The corner of his eye was still flushed with an alluring redness.

His slender shoulders were pitifully curled up, suggesting a lack of security. His warm skin was smooth and delicate, snow-white and pink, permeated with the fresh, elegant scent of Iris Flower, like snowy mist.

Jiang Xunzhou had confirmed it wasn’t perfume; it was Yu You’s natural scent. Furthermore, the fragrance would become even more intense with the slightest stimulation.

The large bed was a mess, the scene everywhere unsightly.

Jiang Xunzhou wanted to find his phone to text his assistant to send a set of the young man’s clothes to the room tomorrow morning. But with just a slight movement, the person in his arms immediately woke up.

Even though Yu You was so sleepy he was nearly unconscious, he still forced himself to look up, his wet eyes showing panic and fear, as if afraid of being abandoned.

The young man looked at him, his voice anxious: “Are you leaving?”

Jiang Xunzhou paused, his voice involuntarily softening, carrying reassurance: “I’m not leaving, baby. Go to sleep.”

The young man watched him for a moment, finally relaxed, obediently closed his eyes, and leaned back against the man’s chest. His breathing gradually became steady.

    Why was he so clingy?

Jiang Xunzhou completely abandoned the idea of finding his phone. He held the young man in his arms, not daring to move again. While enjoying the embrace, he couldn’t help but feel that this was troublesome.

Tonight was due to him being drugged, which led to a night of indulgence.

By tomorrow, they would go their separate ways, and there would be no further interaction.

If he was unwilling to be separated even for a moment now, wouldn’t he cry sadly tomorrow?

The morning light was faint. A ray of golden sunlight streamed through the gap in the thick curtains, landing exactly on the bed.

The sound of rushing water came from the bathroom.

Yu You’s long lashes fluttered. He slowly woke up. He sat up halfway, still dazed by the unfamiliar room decor. After a while, the memories of last night gradually resurfaced.

    “You’re awake?”

The tall man stood at the bathroom door. His features were handsome and striking. He was loosely wrapped in a bathrobe. His neck, shoulders, and wheat-colored chest muscles bore several fresh red marks, like cat scratches, evidence of the intensity of last night’s battle.

“Since you’re awake, let’s talk about what happened last night.”

Jiang Xunzhou walked over slowly, his gaze condescending, his tone casual and cold.

Yu You sat on the bed, staring up at him blankly.

“There’s a card on the bedside table. There’s two million inside.”

Jiang Xunzhou folded his arms, tilting his chin slightly, his tone dismissive: “I’ve seen plenty of minor celebrities like you. You’ll do anything to take a shortcut, but it won’t happen with me. I advise you: instead of craving things you shouldn’t, be sensible, take the money, and get out. Otherwise, you’ll end up losing both the person and the money.”

He had made up his mind.

Last night’s momentary indulgence was a mistake, and it had to stop now.

No matter how much the minor celebrity in front of him cried or made a scene, he wouldn’t soften his heart or change his mind. He would be as cold as possible to dispel the young man’s unrealistic fantasies.

Two million for last night was already generous enough in his opinion.

“You want me to leave already?”

Yu You tilted his head slightly, his beautiful eyes filled with crystal-clear confusion. He asked slowly and hesitantly: “But, it’s only been one night, and you’re… already done?”

Although he had no experience in this area in his previous life, having relied on suppressants to get through one Heat Period after another, he knew basic physiological facts.

An Omega’s concentrated Heat Period lasts three days. During this time, physiological needs are infinitely magnified, demanding repeated fulfillment. They are conscious less often than they are in the throes of the heat.

AO physiques are naturally compatible. When encountering a Heat Period, they mutually entice each other. Not to mention three days and three nights, an entire week is common. Even a Beta with an ordinary physique could satisfy an Omega for a minimum of three days.

Jiang Xunzhou looked like a Top Tier Alpha in this world. Yu You had confirmed last night that he had broad shoulders, a narrow waist, eight-pack abs, and his stamina was indeed good. He could easily pick him up and keep going while walking.

Yet, after one night, he was done?

    That’s it?

Are people in this world so poorly fed?

Yu You looked at Jiang Xunzhou, wanting to speak but holding back, his gaze involuntarily revealing a hint of pity.

    “I’m, done?”

Jiang Xunzhou clearly understood the meaning in Yu You’s eyes. A spark seemed to explode in his chest. His rational nerves were instantly ignited by the flame, burning fiercely.

“One night isn’t enough, is it?”

Jiang Xunzhou was so angry he laughed. He pressed his tongue against his teeth, untied the sash of his bathrobe, and said word by word: “Fine. I haven’t had enough either. Let’s keep trying.”

    Calling him done?

He was going to show this presumptuous minor celebrity exactly what “not done” looked like.
