The weather today is exceptionally good, not too hot and not raining.The sun shines slowly through the clouds, shining brightly on the treetops.I took An Yao downstairs and together we went to a nearby open space with few people.
The electric car was parked in an open space by me. I held the handle and turned sideways to make way for An Yao.
“Yaoyao, don’t rush to ride it yet.” I said, “Let’s try pushing first, and then start learning after we get used to the weight.”
Anyao nodded, moved closer and took the handlebar from my hand.He took a deep breath first, and then pushed the electric car forward with all his strength.I specifically chose a heavier electric bike because of its feel and stability. I didn’t feel much weight when riding it every day, but now it seems that this bike is still too heavy for a beginner like An Yao.
I stood aside to protect him, watching him bite his lower lip tightly, his arms trembling, and it took a lot of effort to barely move the electric car forward a short distance.
I suddenly felt distressed and quickly stepped forward to hold the front of the car, “Don’t push it yet.”
“I didn’t think it through. This car is actually too heavy.” I said, “Yuanyao, can we get a new electric car?”
“Pick a small electric bike.” I rubbed his head. “It’s relatively light and you can ride on it directly.”
I was worried that An Yao was afraid of spending money, so I quickly added, “Electric cars are very cheap now, let alone such small ones. And after buying them, it will be much easier for us to travel. Otherwise, Yaoyao will have to run back and forth, which will be too hard.”
But An Yao shook his head.

An Yao was obviously too embarrassed, her face turned red, and she burned silently in my arms for a while. After a long time, she whispered, “…Qingyan, don’t worry.”

I pinched the tip of his red ear, and as I expected, I saw that the ear was a little redder.
“Then practice for a while longer,” I said softly. “Take a rest when you are tired. Don’t show off. Do you understand?”
An Yao’s eyes suddenly lit up, and those beautiful light gray eyes curled up in pleasure.He responded softly, turned around and continued competing with the electric car with great interest.

I gently put my hand on the back of An Yao’s hand holding the handlebar, “Turn this throttle. The force must be small at the beginning, just a little bit.”
We held the handlebar with our overlapping hands and turned it very lightly. The electric car immediately made a slight buzz, “Just like this.”
An Yao listened attentively and twisted his hand weakly, as if silently remembering this feeling.

“Of course.” I smiled and let go of my hand, rubbing his head, “Don’t be afraid, I’m right next to you.”
An Yao took a deep breath and focused his eyes on the handlebars again.At first, he turned the handle before he was fully seated. As a result, the electric car shuddered suddenly and took him forward, almost flying out on the spot.
I quickly stretched out my hand to fish it out, wrapped his hand around it and stabilized the front of the car, “Don’t worry, let’s get down first.”
“Yaoyao, remember to sit firmly first, and then set the handle when your feet can touch the ground.”
An Yao nodded obediently.
After learning the first lesson, he became more cautious, repeatedly making sure that he was sitting firmly before turning the handle.As a result, the force of the tightening was too great this time, and the electric car rushed forward crazily, carrying the panicked An Yao all the way.
“Qingyan!” He shouted briefly, “The car, the car can’t stop!”
I took a step forward, quickly grabbed the front of the car and twisted it to the right.The electric car, carrying Anyao and its body, lightly bumped into me and stopped quickly.
An Yao’s face turned pale with fright. Even though I took advantage of the situation and hugged her tightly, her whole body could not stop trembling, and her hands were still tightly holding the handlebars.
“It’s okay, it’s okay.” I said softly, “It was like this in the beginning. It’s all my fault. I didn’t explain the specific force just now.”
An Yao didn’t speak, just gasped for air.
“Don’t be afraid, Yaoyao.” I placed a soothing kiss on his eyelids, “The car has stopped, and I’m here fine.”
“Qingyan…” An Yao’s voice was muffled, “W-can you please stand farther away? I’m afraid…I’m afraid that I can’t control it well and I’ll hurt you.”

An Yao didn’t say anything, just shook his head, straightened the car and stepped on it again.
The sun was setting in the west, making the shadows in the open space elongated. From time to time, calls for the children to go home for dinner could be heard in the community. An Yao finally mastered the trick of riding an electric bicycle.
He sat on the seat, his whole body stiff, but the electric car moved forward smoothly under his hands.Although the U-turn and steering are still a bit awkward and confusing, it is a big improvement compared to the beginning.

I laughed, picked him up quickly, spun him around a few times and kissed him hard several times.

An Yao’s face immediately turned red, “Yes, you taught me well…”

I circled him and poured out almost all the compliments I had learned in my life on An Yao, which made the child, who was easily embarrassed, blush and bury his whole face in my chest, only exposing a pair of red ears.
