    Chapter 29

Along the way, Qi Ge didn’t speak, and Xia Yize also shut up and became a qualified driver.

When the car stopped at the emergency entrance of the hospital, Qi Ge unbuckled his seat belt and said, “Thank you, let’s go home.”

“What will you do when I go home?” Xia Yize asked tentatively, “How about I accompany you in, in case there is anything I can do to help.”

Qi Ge had already opened the car door. He hesitated after hearing Xia Yize’s words, but said, “No, go home early and go to bed.”

Xia Yize watched Qi Ge striding into the hospital. The hospital entrance was so tall, with two big red letters on it, “Emergency.”

Even though Qi Ge was tall and tall, at that moment, when Xia Yize saw Qi Ge walking into the hurried crowd alone, he still seemed a little weak.

Qi Ge thought that today’s matter had come to an end, but he didn’t expect that the situation would continue to rise again and again.

Risa cried so hard on the phone that her father was in the hospital with a broken bone.

He took a deep breath. When Qi Ge went up, Risa was walking up and down the corridor, looking around from time to time. She saw Qi Ge first and went over to hold Qi Ge’s hand. “Your dad won’t let me go see him. Go and have a look.”

Qi Ge was startled by the coldness of her hands, “I’ll go take a look first.”

Qi Yuanshen was lying on the hospital bed, with a plaster on one arm and a hanging bottle in the other hand, his face pale.

Sensing movement around him, Qi Yuanshen said sternly, “Get out” before turning around.

Qi Ge walked over and looked at the flow rate of the bottle, “Dad, it’s me.”

Qi Yuanshen turned over, but he was obviously not used to having one arm in a cast. He raised it slightly and let out a painful exclamation, “Why are you here?”

“What did the doctor say?” Qi Ge didn’t answer his question. There was a family hanging bottles in the ward, and they were also observing with broken bones. As soon as he entered the door, Qi Ge noticed that they had been secretly glancing this way.

“The doctor said it’s fine. Just finish the treatment and go home to nurse.” Qi Yuan said angrily.

“Shall I hire a housekeeping aunt to take care of you?” Qi Ge checked Qi Yuanshen’s arm.

“It would be nice if your Aunt Li was here.” Qi Yuan sighed deeply.

At this time Risa came in and whispered: “I can go home and take care of you.”

When Qi Yuan heard Risa’s voice, his whole body froze unconsciously, his hands clenched into fists, the bottle swayed, and the back of his hands suddenly turned red.

Qi Ge quickly squatted down and quickly pulled out the needle.

Risa stood at the door, and Qi Yuanshen said to Qi Ge: “Let her go, I don’t want to see her,”

Qi Ge asked a nurse to re-insert the needle, and then hired a nurse to take care of him temporarily.

It was almost three o’clock, and the two were going to quarrel as soon as they met, and he had to send Risa back.

Qi Ge looked at Risa and said, “I’ll take you back.”

“I want to take care of your dad here.” Risa lowered her head, looking pitiful, as if she was the victim.

Qi Ge looked out the window, “You really made him angry this time. This trick won’t work. You can go back and calm down.”

“Will your dad ignore me in the future?” Risa frowned slightly.

“If I had known now, why bother in the beginning.” Qi Ge looked at the time again, “Let’s go quickly, I’m here with my dad.”

Risa was sobbing as she walked away, as if Qi Ge had driven him away. She was always good at playing this kind of role that I felt pity for.

Qi Ge didn’t sleep all night. Risa’s sobs in his ears made him upset. The looking and speculating eyes of everyone in the ward made him breathless. He went out and loosened his collar.

The taxi-hailing interface kept showing that he was nervous about using the car, so he walked out and changed seats to take a taxi.

As soon as he went out, Qi Ge thought he was dazzled. His car parked in the parking lot at the entrance of the emergency room. Xia Yize huddled inside covered with clothes. The moment Qi Ge came out, Xia Yize turned over telepathically.

A beam of car lights came from behind. At that moment, in the blurry light, Xia Yize jumped out of the car and waved to him. Qi Ge’s tense nerves relaxed for a moment.

Qi Ge went over to help him close his collar, but put his hand down again, shook his hand, and felt a chill when it touched his skin, “I’m not asking you to go home.”

Xia Yize still smiled stupidly, “I want you to see me waiting for you when you come out.”

Qi Ge’s heart trembled slightly, and the criss-crossing car lights behind him flashed, reflecting in Xia Yize’s eyes like the brightest star before dawn in the sky.

Risa waited for a while before approaching, “Are you a friend?”

Xia Yize always sees Qi Ge first before he sees the people around Qi Ge. Their facial features are somewhat similar, but looking at this face alone, he is too young. Xia Yize never imagined that this was Qi Ge’s mother.

So when Qi Ge introduced her, Xia Yize also doubted whether she was his biological mother.

Xia Yize smiled politely and said to Risa, “Hello, aunt.”

Someone happened to be taking the taxi ride on the mobile phone. Qi Ge stood between the two of them, blocking Risa’s eyes and saying, “The taxi has arrived. Let’s go back first.”

“Let’s send Auntie back directly.” Xia Yize also wanted to show off in front of his parents.

“My dad can’t be away for too long.” Qi Ge looked at Risa and waved to the car coming over.

Risa glanced at Xia Yize who was being protected by Qi Ge, as if Qi Ge was afraid that she would eat Xia Yize. She secretly made a note of this person and said with a smile, “Okay, call me anytime if you need anything.”

Risa got in the car, and Qi Ge and Xia Yize sat back. The temperature in the car was very low. Qi Ge took out a bag from the trunk, pulled out a blanket, and handed it to Xia Yize, “I’ll drive and buy some breakfast. You can sleep for a while.”

Xia Yize seemed to be covered with a small quilt. The car started and the temperature of the heater came up. Xia Yize finally stretched out. It had been cold and cramped all night. Now when he tilted his head, he could see Qi Ge driving the car steadily and closing his eyes peacefully.

He didn’t sleep well, he could hear the honking of horns and shouts on the road, and the sounds in his ears were far and near. His head tilted and he woke up many times. The last time he seemed to have finally found a soft support, and then fell asleep completely.

I don’t know how long it took, but he raised his eyelids and put a pillow under his head. The surroundings were quiet, and Qi Ge didn’t know where he went.

The sky was already getting slightly brighter, and not long after, Qi Ge came over, carrying a big bag in his hand. When he got into the car, a cool breeze came in, and Xia Yize shrank in.

Qi Ge turned on the air conditioner and said, “You’re awake. Are you cold?”

Xia Yize’s attention was attracted by the delicious breakfast behind him, “You went to buy breakfast.”

Qi Ge nodded, started the car quickly, and walked out for a while. The car gradually became warm. After two streets, Xia Yize could hear the shouts and chatter through the window, “Did you buy it here?”

Qi Ge hummed and turned a corner. The noise in the lively morning market became louder. Xia Yize subconsciously asked, “Why did you park the car so far away?”

“There is no parking space.” Qi Ge said.

But Xia Yize saw several cars turning in. Xia Yize came back to his senses, leaned on the pillow and closed his eyes with a smile.

But this time he didn’t fall asleep. When he arrived at the hospital, Xia Yize didn’t move. Last time I saw grandma, he went in on his own initiative and almost got into trouble. This time he learned his lesson and couldn’t rush in.

Qi Ge opened the car door for him and said, “Let’s go in and eat together. My dad’s bone is broken. It’s not serious.”

Xia Yize stayed there all night, and it was indeed not in vain. He took Qi Ge’s breakfast and said, “This is my first time meeting uncle. I’ll buy some supplements.”

He was rubbing his hands together like a primary school student going to see his teacher. Qi Ge pulled him in a dumbfounded voice and said, “Let’s go quickly.”

Qi Ge strode into the hospital, followed by Xia Yize. His steps were still firm, and he was still the same Qi Ge who did everything in an orderly manner.

The two approached the door of the ward and first saw two uncles discussing something in low voices.

One of them saw Qi Ge and pushed the other person. The two of them looked at him sideways and said nothing.

Xia Yize clearly felt Qi Ge’s pace quicken. Qi Ge walked into the ward, and the two men followed him with their eyes. Xia Yize stood at the door and coughed, looked over, with an unceremonious warning in his eyes, and then the two turned and left.

Xia Yize turned around and met Qi Ge’s eyes. Qi Ge reached out to him and said, “Breakfast.”

Xia Yize walked a few steps quickly, and Qi Yuanshen was lying on the bed, frowning, not noticing Xia Yize at all.

Qi Ge opened the breakfast and said, “Eat something and I’ll take you home.”

“I don’t want to eat.” Qi Yuan was still a little angry.

Qi Ge handed Xia Yize a box of soy milk, “If you don’t want to eat it, go home.”

Xia Yize inserted the soy milk straw and handed it to Qi Yuanshen, “Uncle, please eat some. You need to replenish your nutrition while recovering from your injuries.”

Qi Yuanshen looked up at Xia Yize, took the soy milk, and looked at Qi Ge with some reproach, “Who is this? I won’t introduce you.”

“My friend, I came to see you.” Qi Ge handed Xia Yize another box of soy milk.

“You’re tormenting your friend for such a minor injury.” Because of Xia Yize, Qi Yuanshen couldn’t lose his temper. He was so proud that even when he went to the hospital, he felt embarrassed. Qi Yuanshen was embarrassed and said with a smile to Xia Yize, “Sorry to trouble you.”

Xia Yize sat down and said, “Uncle, you’re welcome.”

The three finally had breakfast successfully. Qi Ge sent Xia Yize home first. Xia Yize wanted to refuse, but Qi Ge insisted that he go home and sleep.

Xia Yize guessed that father and son might have something to say, so he obeyed Qi Ge’s arrangements and went home.

Xia Yize went home and put all the messy information together. He boldly guessed that what happened to Qi Ge today was that his father was injured. He was fine at first, but his parents had a bad relationship and had a big fight in the hospital, so he called him over again.

Xia Yize thought proudly, I am really the second generation Sherlock Holmes.
