After Escaping Chapter 11
byEleven. Anger
“Ke Yi?” Gu Yu paused. “What score are you trying to settle with him?”
“He scratched my car and deliberately made me look foolish! Tell him to come out! I’m going to teach him a good lesson today!”
Young Master Wen’s cheeks were puffed out with anger, making him look like a little hamster whose food had been snatched away.
He was over twenty years old, yet why did he still act like a child every day? Gu Yu said, slightly amused, “How could Assistant Ke do such a thing? Did you misunderstand something? I think it’s much more likely that you’re the one doing these childish things.”
“Gu Yu! Don’t you dare not believe me.” Wen Zhao stamped his feet in frustration. “Ke Yi is very good at pretending. Don’t be fooled by his serious appearance. You should just fire him. He’s a habitual liar, especially wicked…”
“Alright, Wen Zhao. Work matters aren’t trivial; you can’t just fire someone on a whim.
“Ke Yi is out on an errand. When he returns, I will ask him clearly. If it truly was his doing, I will make him apologize to you.”
“Then I’ll just wait here for him. Let’s see where he can hide,” he said, then changed the subject, winking at Gu Yu: “I also wanted to see my sister-in-law. You’ve kept him so hidden, I haven’t even met him.”
“Wen Zhao, this is an office. Stop messing around.” Gu Yu rubbed his forehead, feeling a headache coming on. “Besides, your sister-in-law is thin-skinned. Don’t scare him. We can talk about it later.”
“I’m not scary looking.” Wen Zhao sat cross-legged on the chair, hugging his arms. “I don’t care. If I don’t see Ke Yi and my sister-in-law today, I’m not leaving.”
“Not leaving? Then I’ll call your father to come pick you up.” Gu Yu made a move to grab his phone.
“Gu Yu!” The flush on Wen Zhao’s face had just subsided, only to flare up again in anger.
“You’re a bastard too!” Young Master Wen cursed angrily, then turned and slammed the door as he ran out.
Gu Yu tidied the documents on the desk that Young Master Wen had messed up, then called someone to order a table of food. He calculated the time, planning to let Pei Shuyun rest a bit longer before calling him out to eat.
Although his expression hadn’t shown it earlier, Wen Zhao calling Pei Shuyun “sister-in-law” repeatedly had made him feel physically and mentally comfortable. Thinking back to their intimate moments in the inner room just now, Pei Shuyun’s attitude toward him didn’t seem so resistant anymore; he had even actively sought him out. A trace of joy couldn’t help but surface on Gu Yu’s handsome face.
The curtain to the inner room was tightly drawn, leaving the room in darkness. Pei Shuyun silently turned onto his side, easing the soreness in his waist from being pressed down for so long.
He had already woken up when Wen Zhao was making a ruckus outside, but he didn’t want to move at all. The image of himself actively accommodating Gu Yu in bed replayed repeatedly in his mind. Cold sweat poured down, and he realized that he was dangerously obsessed with the carnal pleasure they shared.
He shouldn’t be like this.
More painful than forced oppression was conscious degradation. Pei Shuyun could no longer deceive himself that the desperate intimacy in bed was entirely forced by Gu Yu.
He dug his fingernails into his palm, leaving a mark.
He had to escape.
He had to escape everything here.
Whether it was lust or affection, he couldn’t allow himself to sink into this.
After an unknown amount of time, the door was gently pushed open.
Gu Yu walked in, carrying a glass of water, and rubbed Pei Shuyun’s soft, tender cheek by the bed.
“Are you awake, Yunyun?”
“How is your body? Does it still hurt? Come, drink some water. I’ve already ordered dinner. I’ll take you there in a bit.”
Pei Shuyun kept his eyes closed, ignoring him, but his slightly trembling eyelashes betrayed the fact that he was awake.
Gu Yu thought he was still shy, so he leaned down and, as if teasing him, licked his rosy cheek, then kissed it, sucking the skin until it was damp and red.
Pei Shuyun finally opened his eyes and glared at him, unable to bear it any longer. But he was helped up and embraced. “Yunyun, don’t be angry. It’s my fault. I’ll be gentler next time.”
He took advantage of the situation, caressing Pei Shuyun’s slender neck. His slightly cool fingers brushed over the purple hickeys there, causing the person in his arms to tremble slightly again.
Pei Shuyun pushed at his shoulder in disgust, but couldn’t push him away. Instead, he was held even tighter.
“Yunyun, drink some water, or your throat will hurt.”
As the water glass neared his lips, Pei Shuyun could almost see the lingering eroticism on his own pale, wretched face reflected in the clear water. He couldn’t stand it anymore and violently slapped Gu Yu’s hand away.
With a crash, the water glass shattered on the floor. The piercing sound startled both of them.
Gu Yu’s expression finally changed: “Pei Shuyun!”
The coldness and hatred in Pei Shuyun’s eyes fiercely stung him.
He squeezed his fingernails hard into his palm.
The anger from having his deep affection repeatedly met with coldness over these past days surged up instantly. In a fit of rage, he stood up and flipped over the small table beside the bed. Drawing pens and paper scattered across the floor with a loud rustle.
“Pei Shuyun, what the hell are you throwing a fit about now!”
