Chapter Index

Gu Shenyuan’s gaze, objectively speaking, was terrifying, yet Ye Qingyun only felt a sense of security.

What did he mean by “I found you”? Did he find the person doing the bad deed, or did he find Ye Qingyun’s location?

Before Ye Qingyun could figure it out, the man who had been holding him cried out, and the hand pressing down on him suddenly released its grip.

Ye Qingyun turned his head in confusion, seeing the man clutching the hand that had been restraining him. A trickle of blood flowed from between his fingers, and a look of terror flashed across his face.

How did he suddenly get injured?

Ye Qingyun looked down at his own shoulder, puzzled, and found something new there.

A layer of black mist obediently lay on his shoulder. The black mist stretched itself out as much as possible, expanding to its maximum size, trying to shield him as much as it could.

“How is this possible? How is this possible?” the smoking man’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Things were not developing as he had imagined! Not only was Gu Shenyuan not confused, but he had also rushed over with clear consciousness!

Could it be that Gu Shenyuan had some sort of functional disorder in that area, making him immune to the temporary Ability Agent?

No wonder, no wonder they slept in the same room but used two separate beds!

    Damn it!

Ye Qingyun was startled, reaching out to touch the black mist. The terrifying black mist felt as soft as a ball of cotton in his hand, extremely comfortable to the touch.

Its presence here meant that Gu Shenyuan had found this location… Gu Shenyuan was coming soon.

The remaining two men clearly realized this as well. They looked at Ye Qingyun, a fierce glint flashing in their eyes.

If that person could find them so quickly, then even if they ran, there was a high chance they would be found immediately. Since that was the case, they might as well tie up Ye Qingyun before the guy arrived and use him to force Gu Shenyuan to let them go.

After all, that strange black mist was only a small patch right now. Surely they could still overpower him!

If Gu Shenyuan wasn’t coming to deal with them, but was instead provoked by the Emotion Separation Agent and was coming to beat up Ye Qingyun out of dislike, then they could simply push Ye Qingyun out and escape while Gu Shenyuan vented his frustration on him.

Moreover, the latter possibility was as high as eighty percent.

The two men made up their minds and immediately moved to corner Ye Qingyun.

Ye Qingyun cautiously stood up and took a step back, warning them, “I advise you not to make things worse. If you still try to target me now, you will absolutely end up without a corpse. Be nice to me, and maybe if I’m happy, I can put in a good word for you.”

“Naive,” the smoking man sneered. Of course, he wouldn’t follow Ye Qingyun’s wishes, so he deliberately provoked him, “How do you know he’s here to save you? Heh, he smelled the Separation Agent. What kind of mood do you think he’s in regarding you right now?”

    Ye Qingyun remained silent.

He knew, of course. Gu Shenyuan should hate him right now—hate his very existence, hate that he had fallen in love with him, thereby saddling himself with so many shackles for no reason.

The man continued to mock him, while simultaneously using hand gestures behind his back to direct the man in black to quietly sneak over and grab Ye Qingyun. “You think he’s coming to deal with us? Don’t be ridiculous. When he gets here, the first person he’ll deal with is you!”

Ye Qingyun retreated step by step toward the door, saying nothing.

These people weren’t just trying to scare him; what they were saying was highly likely to happen.

The man in black, who had been quietly approaching, lunged. Ye Qingyun dodged, only to be pinned against the wall by the other man.

“Running? Where are you running to? Running out to be beaten to death by your enraged little lover?” The smoking man laughed wildly, throwing Ye Qingyun’s earlier words back at him. “Flatter me, and maybe I can put in a good word for you!”

Ye Qingyun glared at the man. The man stared at his face for a moment, a flash of astonishment in his eyes. He lowered his head slightly and said in a husky voice, “Little slut, flatter me.”

With that, the man leaned in for a kiss.

Ye Qingyun would rather die at Gu Shenyuan’s hands than try to please this kind of person. Just as he was about to bite down, his lips met not the disgusting man, but something soft and yielding.

He had bitten Gu Shenyuan’s Ability—the black mist.

Thick, ink-like black mist surged in through every crack and crevice. It enveloped Ye Qingyun without leaving a single gap, isolating him from the man who was holding him.

Ye Qingyun’s vision was completely black. He could only hear the miserable screams of the two men outside.

Not long after, the screams stopped.

Ye Qingyun swallowed hard. He smelled blood. What happened to those two men seemed self-evident.

    Gu Shenyuan was very angry.

Was he angry because Ye Qingyun had been kidnapped, or was he angry because he had smelled the Separation Agent and was reminded of the Bloodline constraint?

Was Gu Shenyuan going to kill him next?

In the darkness, Ye Qingyun heard the sound of the door opening, and footsteps slowly approached him.

The black mist before his eyes dissipated, and a person stood in front of him.

Ye Qingyun looked up, meeting the gloomy gaze of Gu Shenyuan, and immediately shivered.

It was such a handsome face, yet Gu Shenyuan had twisted it into a terrifying expression capable of stopping a child’s crying.

Ye Qingyun wasn’t a child, but he was still frightened.

Gu Shenyuan was very angry, not just at the people who kidnapped him… but also at him.

Ye Qingyun blinked and lowered his head.

He actually understood why Gu Shenyuan would be angry.

Given Gu Shenyuan’s cold personality, he surely wanted to maintain distance from everyone for life. He wouldn’t want to fall in love with anyone, wouldn’t want to be shackled, or become a weapon driven by others.

He couldn’t imagine what it would be like if he himself had such a Bloodline, and just when he wanted to remain single forever, he suddenly fell in love with someone…

No matter how much he liked that person, there would be some degree of dissatisfaction deep down, wouldn’t there? Dissatisfaction with the loss of freedom, unhappiness that his every move was controlled by someone else. And under the influence of the pharmaceutical agent, this dissatisfaction was infinitely magnified, eventually becoming the dominant emotion.

Sigh. He didn’t know if Gu Shenyuan wanted to hit him or scold him now. If it was scolding, that was fine. If it was hitting… well, he couldn’t resist anyway, but he hoped Gu Shenyuan would show mercy.

Even if he died, it wouldn’t be a true death, but what if Gu Shenyuan, due to the Bloodline constraint, couldn’t bear the torment and followed him in death?

That would truly be hitting him but hurting Gu Shenyuan’s heart! Gu Shenyuan should go easy on him, right?

    Gu Shenyuan moved.

Ye Qingyun immediately closed his eyes, avoiding reality like an ostrich burying its head in the sand.

The expected pain did not arrive. Ye Qingyun felt a strong hand tightly grip his waist, pulling him forcefully into a solid embrace.

Ye Qingyun’s attention immediately shifted to his back. In this position, it was clearly easiest for Gu Shenyuan to strike his back.

However, Ye Qingyun waited for a long time and still felt no pain.

Gu Shenyuan’s strength was so great it felt like he was trying to knead him into his embrace, leaving him no chance to slip away. But apart from that, there were no other aggressive movements.

Yet, this was the most unsettling part.

Ye Qingyun opened his eyes and said nervously, “You… say whatever you want to say. Don’t bottle it up. It’s not good if you keep it inside.”

“Say it?” Gu Shenyuan pressed his cheek against Ye Qingyun’s, speaking into his ear without any inflection, “You want to hear it?”

This cheek-to-cheek action was something Gu Shenyuan would never do normally, showing how severely stimulated he was right now. Ye Qingyun immediately nodded like a woodpecker. “Yes, yes, yes, I’ll listen to whatever you say.”

Gu Shenyuan was silent for a moment, then tightened his grip on Ye Qingyun’s waist, saying coldly, “There’s no need to say it. You won’t have a chance to leave again. I’ll buy you a big house… no, an entire planet. We’ll stay there, and you won’t ever think about leaving for the rest of your life.”

    Ye Qingyun was stunned.

What was this random, irrelevant topic? Shouldn’t Gu Shenyuan be furiously denouncing him for ruining his planned life and making him lose the freedom that was far more important than love?

Ye Qingyun leaned his upper body back, looking at the gloomy yet serious Gu Shenyuan, and asked, “That’s all you wanted to tell me?”

Vent your dissatisfaction! Direct it all at him!

Gu Shenyuan’s dark eyes stared at him, filled with many emotions… but none of the ones Ye Qingyun expected to see.

Ye Qingyun’s heart skipped a beat. Before Gu Shenyuan could speak, he proactively continued, “You can tell me about your disrupted life, all the inconveniences in your life caused by me, all your dissatisfaction. Don’t keep it bottled up.”

Gu Shenyuan looked directly into Ye Qingyun’s eyes and said word by word, “But I like it.”

Whether it was the disrupted life or the various inconveniences, as long as they were given by Ye Qingyun, he liked them all.

Ye Qingyun closed his eyes, afraid to look anymore.

At this moment, he finally realized something.

Gu Shenyuan was completely and willingly bound by him.

Gu Shenyuan pressed Ye Qingyun’s leaning upper body back against him, making Ye Qingyun stick to him entirely.

Ye Qingyun heard Gu Shenyuan’s strong heartbeat, and then Gu Shenyuan’s muffled voice, “If I have to mention dissatisfaction, besides you always wanting to leave, there is one other thing.”

Ye Qingyun didn’t speak, waiting for Gu Shenyuan’s next words.

“You always like other people,” Gu Shenyuan hugged the person in his arms tighter. “Forget him. Look at me for once.”
