Chapter 14: 1.13 Who is He?

Gou Xue was extremely bewildered by this set of options. How on earth did a small fry like him get involved with a big shot like Leopard? Leopard had been in prison for a long time and had built his own faction with influence over everyone, while Gou Xue was just a little shrimp who had only recently been incarcerated. Gou Xue felt that if his imprisonment was related to this man, then he must be some kind of big shot himself!

Thinking this way, Gou Xue felt that the readers weren’t so malicious after all; they were even being a bit kind to him.

Before Gou Xue could revel in his joy, the little white book displayed another line of text:

    Main Plotline

    3. What is Gou Xue’s identity?

    A. The business mogul’s little lover

    B. The illegitimate son of a military or political big shot

    C. Leopard’s long-lost younger brother

    D. Leopard’s savior from years ago

Gou Xue suddenly felt a shiver run through his body!

Holy crap! Please, let your IQs be online! Gou Xue pressed his palms together, nearly bowing to the little book. Before he could see the result of the options, his waist was suddenly grabbed again by Leopard. Gou Xue nearly threw his back out.

Leopard didn’t even look at him. The hand touching his chest suddenly squeezed firmly, and Gou Xue’s face instantly turned pale.

Both of them realized what Leopard had touched—the black stone hidden inside the cup of Gou Xue’s bra.

A meaningful smile appeared on Leopard’s face. He stared at Gou Xue and whispered, “So… it’s here.”

Gou Xue’s cheeks flushed crimson. Damn it, I’m reporting the author. I suspect the author is driving, but I have no evidence!

The big shot on the other side saw Leopard looking so composed, seemingly not giving his proposal much thought, and his face grew impatient. He let go of the woman in his arms and said to Leopard in a heavy voice, “A-Qin, those old antiques have already been dealt with. If you don’t go back now, the territory you fought for will no longer be yours.”

Gou Xue pricked up his ears and listened intently. After all, Leopard’s imprisonment was closely related to his own. If Leopard had a chance to get out, then he had a chance too! And the more powerful Leopard was, the more powerful it meant he was by association!

Leopard suddenly let out a cold laugh and said, “Then you’ll be the one reaping the benefits, won’t you? Weren’t you the one making the most noise back then? Now that you’ve made a mess of things, you want me to come back and wipe your ass for you?”

The room became terrifyingly silent. Everyone subconsciously looked at the big shot with caution.

The big shot’s face turned ashen. He slammed a fist onto the table and growled, “Qin Ren!”

Gou Xue nearly spat out. He looked at the little book with a complicated expression. Author, can your naming art be any more brilliant?

The little white book snapped shut with a bang, looking incredibly arrogant.

Leopard glanced at Gou Xue and said with a curl of his lip, “I can go back, but on one condition—”

Everyone looked at Leopard. Leopard slowly rubbed Gou Xue’s ticklish spot, waiting until Gou Xue could barely hold it in before he spoke: “I want to take a boatload of people back with me.”

“That won’t do!” The first one to speak was actually the prison guard. After the guard spoke, he lowered his voice under the big shot’s glare. “That won’t do, Master Qin… these people are all death row inmates, people who are already considered dead… if they are released, you know… we won’t be able to keep a lid on it…”

The big shot also knew the severity of the matter. He seemed to want to turn back and persuade Leopard, but Leopard pulled Gou Xue up and stood, casually knocking the chair behind him to the ground. Holding Gou Xue, he said, “That is my only condition. You all can keep chatting; I’ll take my leave.”

Even though he was wearing handcuffs, he walked like a true boss. When Gou Xue was led out in a daze, he still didn’t know what was happening. He tried to look back, but Leopard grabbed his chin and forced him forward. Leopard whispered in his ear, “Don’t look back.”

They were so close that Gou Xue almost ended up in a full embrace. His face flushed as he tried to say something, but Leopard forcibly buried his head into his chest.

As they reached the elevator, two prison guards exchanged looks and pointed at Gou Xue. Leopard’s smile vanished. The moment his expression turned cold, the two guards immediately didn’t dare to say a word, opening the door and respectfully inviting him in.

As Gou Xue was half-carried into the elevator by Leopard, he suddenly heard several distinct gunshots. His whole body shuddered.

The elevator doors closed. Leopard said above his head, “The women who go up there usually don’t come back down.”

    Gou Xue: “…” Crap!

Leopard added, “Don’t say a word. Just follow me.”

Gou Xue was suffocating from holding it in, but he truly didn’t dare to speak. He could only use the corner of his eye to peek at his surroundings. He saw Leopard lead him through many twists and turns back toward the male prison. Surprisingly, not a single prison guard stopped him; some even stood at attention as he passed.

Gou Xue’s curiosity about Leopard reached its peak.

He couldn’t help but struggle and ask, “Who exactly are you?”

Leopard didn’t look at him, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly. While Leopard didn’t respond, the little book jumped out again:
