A. Bai Yueguang Said Nothing And Just Cried For The Substitute B. Chapter 4
byChapter 4: Don’t Negotiate with an Alpha
Wēn Sòng, usually honest and compliant, was so shocked by Guān Suī’s words that he instantly lost the ability to resist. The next second, the other man lifted his head and rained kisses upon Wēn Sòng’s eyelids, nose tip, cheeks, earlobes, and lips.
The Alpha’s Pheromone seemed to scorch his exposed, pale skin. Inch by inch, the skin-to-skin contact felt like an electric current. Wēn Sòng had never experienced anything so stimulating, and several muffled gasps escaped his throat.
“Stop—” He turned his head, biting his lower lip.
He tried to use the pain to resist the drug’s effects, which were gradually spreading through his body.
Unfortunately, his consciousness had long since scattered, unable to resist even slightly, craving the Alpha’s touch.
Guān Suī used one hand to restrain Wēn Sòng’s wrists, pinning them above his head. The Pheromone, with nowhere to hide, was released wantonly, filling the entire dark room, declaring private territory and dominance.
“You’re burning up.”
With his other hand, he gently touched Wēn Sòng’s flushed cheek. He lowered his head, his nose brushing against the side of the other man’s neck, feeling the pulse beat, like a large dog deeply sniffing a favorite toy.
Kisses fell like a downpour on his neck, collarbone, chest, and shoulders.
Guān Suī took a deep breath at the side of Wēn Sòng’s neck.
“Smells wonderful.”
Wēn Sòng’s eyes were wet with physiological tears as he emphasized, “I’m a Beta.”
He had no Pheromone.
It wouldn’t smell wonderful.
Nor would it have any aphrodisiac effect.
An Alpha in Rut Period could not receive any Pheromone Comfort from him.
He wanted to refuse Guān Suī’s physical contact, but the other man’s skin was cool, and the contact felt comfortable. The ball of fire inside him spread toward his limbs, consuming the rationality he desperately clung to.
Suddenly, Guān Suī released Wēn Sòng’s hands. The next second, a sense of weightlessness struck, and Wēn Sòng quickly reached out and wrapped his arms around the neck of the Alpha who had lifted him into a bridal carry, grasping him like a lifeline.
The man carried him step by step toward the bed.
When he was gently placed down, Wēn Sòng felt completely dizzy, his throat so dry he craved an oasis of relief.
“Shall we?” Guān Suī’s well-proportioned, cool fingers touched the Beta’s eyelids and cheeks.
“I’ll give you three seconds to refuse.”
“1”
“2”
Wēn Sòng closed his eyes.
Receiving this action as consent, Guān Suī didn’t wait for 3. He reached for his hem, swiftly and cleanly pulling off his shirt and tossing it aside.
Guān Suī noticed that Wēn Sòng’s expressions and movements were incredibly naive, not the demeanor one would expect from someone who had lived with a boyfriend for several years.
He even needed a long time just to adapt at the beginning.
“Zhào Míngzhuó never touched you?” He paused, lowering his head. He used his fingertip to press Wēn Sòng’s lips, then moved the back of his hand that was covering Wēn Sòng’s eyes.
The other man’s eyes were wet with physiological tears.
Hearing Guān Suī’s words, his body trembled, and he continued to cry.
This behavior greatly displeased Guān Suī, who was already in his Rut Period. He wiped away the moisture with his thumb. “If he didn’t touch you, why are you crying?”
Wēn Sòng turned his head, pushing at the stopped Guān Suī with his palm, and then exploring downward along the other man’s firm, muscular lines.
“No.”
“You didn’t wear one.”
Guān Suī: “……….?”
“Don’t worry.”
“I’m clean.”
“It’s my first time too, same as you. We’re even.”
Wēn Sòng didn’t care about that. Although Betas weren’t naturally as suitable as Omegas, the probability was very low, but without proper precautions, he might have bad luck and get pregnant on the first try.
His consciousness was gradually returning. When he realized the Alpha before him was Guān Suī, a sense of shame and condemnation rose in his heart.
He actually slept with Guān Suī.
Wēn Sòng suppressed the sound that threatened to escape and push the slightly moving Guān Suī, saying very calmly:
“Get out.”
“I don’t want this anymore.”
To solve the drug problem and then immediately abandon the bridge—Guān Suī wouldn’t tolerate that. Trying to use him as an antidote and then running away was impossible.
Wēn Sòng had delivered himself to him during his Rut Period.
There was no reason to let him go.
“You can’t.”
“Don’t negotiate with an Alpha in Rut Period.”
Because the Alpha only wanted to integrate the person in his arms into his flesh and blood.
Guān Suī picked up Wēn Sòng, who had turned into a puddle of water, and continued, using his actions to completely block all of Wēn Sòng’s refusals by making him unable to utter a complete sentence.
The room remained pitch black.
Compared to the previous silence, there were now uncontrollable sounds of intimacy.
The Agave in the air completely entangled the two of them, blurring the lines between them, sinking them into continuous intoxication.
An Alpha in Rut Period instinctively bites their partner’s Gland to leave a Pheromone mark. However, Wēn Sòng was a Beta and had no Gland. Even if his nape was bitten, the scent of Agave could not linger.
The night was long.
Wēn Sòng only completely passed out when the absurd exchange finally ended.
*
The next day.
When Wēn Sòng woke up, he felt pain all over, as if he had been run over by a large truck.
His limbs were like old parts, incredibly difficult to reassemble. Even slightly lifting an arm made him wince and hold his breath. His lower body was almost completely immobilized.
His body, however, was very clean and free of any stickiness.
He felt as though he had been soaking in Agave all night.
Only the pain, the Pheromone, and the marks on his body reminded Wēn Sòng of what had happened last night.
No one told him.
A Top-Tier Alpha who had never broken his fast could be this ferocious.
However, this situation might depend on individual physique. Wēn Sòng had never liked physical exercise since childhood, and during his school years, he disliked physical education and sports meets. Since he had never exercised, he was now aching from the night of intense activity.
As for his backside—
It was actually fine.
There wasn’t the discomfort of excessive development.
It was clear that Guān Suī had cleaned him up properly after they finished.
Thinking about last night, Wēn Sòng began to worry.
He couldn’t blame everything on Guān Suī. After all, he was the one who walked into the wrong room last night, coincidentally encountering an Alpha who was equally disoriented and in his Rut Period.
He used Guān Suī as an antidote; the other man used him as a Suppressant.
They were even.
However, the relationship of having slept together couldn’t be resolved so easily.
Wēn Sòng felt he was truly facing a dilemma this time.
The Alpha in the one-night stand was Guān Suī.
The true Crown Prince of Suicheng, possessing a Top-Tier Pheromone, known for his terrible temper, coldness, and difficulty, and who was also his boyfriend Zhào Míngzhuó’s good brother.
He was the Alpha Wēn Sòng wanted to stay away from the moment he first saw him.
But—
The situation at the time was beyond both their control.
One was drugged, the other was in the Alpha Rut Period.
In other words, Wēn Sòng’s situation was that he had delivered himself to Guān Suī to serve as a Suppressant.
If he hadn’t been dizzy, he wouldn’t have walked into the wrong room, and he wouldn’t have provoked an Alpha in an unsolvable Rut Period.
“You’re awake?” Just then, the bathroom door opened, and Guān Suī walked out wearing a bathrobe.
When Wēn Sòng’s eyes met the two distinct teeth marks on the Alpha’s exposed collarbone, he silently looked away.
Although much of last night was forgotten due to the drug’s effects, no one but him could have left marks on the Alpha’s body.
“About last night—”
He drew out his words, looking up to gauge Guān Suī’s expression.
Finding that the other man had no intention of proactively discussing the events of last night, he continued to voice his own thoughts.
“I apologize,” Wēn Sòng said sincerely.
“I hope we can pretend nothing happened.”
