Chapter 3 You Can Sleep With Me Too

After returning from Silver Lake Mansion.

Wēn Sòng resumed his three-point routine: home, company, and the hospital, busy running back and forth. Occasionally, he would branch out to attend banquets and “friend activities” to which Zhào Míngzhuó invited him.

Whether it was due to his own oversensitivity or some other reason, Guān Suī was present at every gathering.

The other man remained aloof and distant, staying away from the crowd, doing something unknown in a corner.

Moreover, Wēn Sòng noticed that activities Zhào Míngzhuó usually wouldn’t invite him to—be it playing mahjong, drinking, or racing—had become extremely frequent lately. It felt strange, almost as if Zhào Míngzhuó was deliberately taking him out to show him off.

Wēn Sòng found the word “show off” amusing.

What was there to show off about a Beta?

Sure enough, as soon as he arrived at the villa where Zhào Míngzhuó was hosting the banquet, he overheard people nearby discussing him:

“Who is he? I’ve never seen him before.”

    “Wēn Sòng, Brother Zhuó’s boyfriend.”

“Huh? Are you saying this Beta is Brother Zhuó’s what? A Beta without even a Pheromone doesn’t deserve Brother Zhuó at all. How could he be a boyfriend?”

“I bet Brother Zhuó is just messing around.”

“Shh, keep your voice down, don’t let anyone hear you.”

    “Just a mere Beta.”

    Wēn Sòng wasn’t deaf.

He heard the whispers clearly, including the tones of contempt and disdain.

Wēn Sòng initially intended to leave and pretend he hadn’t heard anything, but then he heard the sharp-tongued Omega say, “I remember now, his name is Wēn Sòng, right? The Wēn family’s Illegitimate Child. I heard he only acknowledged Ancestry to raise money for his dying grandmother. He must be approaching Brother Zhuó for money.”

Hearing this, Wēn Sòng’s face darkened. He stopped, about to turn back, when he suddenly heard a scream.

    “Ah—!”

The gossiping Omega was drenched head-to-toe by a glass of red wine poured from the second floor.

“Who is it!” The Omega’s hair was soaked and plastered to his face, the wine stains running down his cheeks.

    He looked utterly miserable.

He looked up, and the vicious curses he was about to utter were swallowed whole upon seeing the Alpha holding the empty glass cup.

    It was Guān Suī.

The Great Demon King no one dared to provoke.

The perpetrator simply stared at them with cold eyes, showing not an ounce of apology.

A friend nearby quickly intervened to smooth things over: “Brother Suī must have done it accidentally. It’s fine, I’ll take you to the lounge to clean up and change into some dry clothes.”

Even with resentment in his heart, the Omega dared not act out in front of Guān Suī.

    The farce ended.

Wēn Sòng hadn’t uttered a single word throughout.

He looked up at the Alpha leaning halfway over the railing of the second-floor corridor. The Alpha’s narrow eyes glanced in his direction for just a second before he retracted his gaze, straightened up, put one hand in his pocket, and turned to leave with a cold expression.

    Was Guān Suī helping him?

    But didn’t he hate him?

Wēn Sòng pondered this as he navigated through the crowd to the lounge, where he found Zhào Míngzhuó playing mahjong.

Unexpectedly, Guān Suī was also there.

The other man didn’t even lift his head, slumped on the sofa playing on his phone.

Zhào Míngzhuó simply said, “You’re here,” and immediately returned his attention to the game.

Wēn Sòng stood by, watching them play.

A moment later, his phone in his pocket chimed.

Worried that the hospital might need him, Wēn Sòng took out his phone. He saw that someone had sent him an Anonymous MMS.

    The message contained a photo.

The network was poor, so it only loaded to thirty percent. A moment later, it finished loading. When Wēn Sòng saw the content of the image, he narrowed his eyes, pinching the screen to zoom in on the figures. He realized it was Zhào Míngzhuó intensely kissing an unknown Omega on the roadside.

Judging by the clothes, location, and time in the photo, he guessed it was Zhào Míngzhuó from the night he claimed to have urgent business to handle.

Wēn Sòng didn’t dwell on it, deleting the MMS immediately and tossing it into the trash bin.

Zhào Míngzhuó, having finished a round of mahjong, finally spared some attention for the Beta standing beside him. Seeing the other man engrossed in his phone, he asked with a raised tone, “What are you looking at?”

Wēn Sòng put away his phone and replied without changing his expression, “Nothing, spam message.”

On the sofa, Guān Suī looked indifferent, his long, well-proportioned fingers fiddling with his phone. The screen was lit, showing the message sent successfully interface.

Hearing Wēn Sòng’s flat tone, the Alpha Pheromone around him fluctuated slightly.

The Alpha sitting next to him gasped, choked by the Pheromone: “Brother Suī, reel in your Pheromone, it’s terrifying! Low-level Alphas like us can’t handle the wrath of your Rut Period.”

Guān Suī lowered his eyelids and turned off his phone screen.

    “My apologies.”

“The Rut Period is making me a bit irritable.”

The Alpha laughed and said, “Find an Omega to relieve the pressure.”

“No need,” Guān Suī replied calmly.

The Alpha knew Guān Suī was an upright person, though his temperament held a degree of hostility and coldness. While some powerful Alphas in their circle took pleasure in using people around them, Guān Suī always maintained his integrity.

He had even launched a sharp attack on an Omega who released Pheromones to entice him at a banquet, mercilessly saying that the Omega’s Pheromones smelled so bad they made him want to vomit.

The Alpha smiled. “I was just joking.”

On the other side, at the mahjong table.

Zhào Míngzhuó took out a cigarette, lit it, and tapped the table with two fingers.

    “Want to play a round?”

Wēn Sòng shook his head. “I don’t know how to play mahjong.”

Zhào Míngzhuó exhaled a smoke ring and curved his lips. “I’ll teach you.”

Wēn Sòng didn’t refuse, asking, “Where should I sit then?”

A red-haired Alpha sitting opposite teased, “Sit on Brother Zhuó’s lap, of course.”

    “Bang—”

A loud sound of glass colliding suddenly echoed in the lounge.

Everyone present, including Wēn Sòng, looked in the direction of the noise.

Guān Suī, stared at by over a dozen pairs of eyes, remained calm. He said concisely, “Slipped my hand.”

    “Carry on.”

The atmosphere returned to its previous liveliness.

Wēn Sòng lowered his eyelids. “I’ll just sit next to you.”

In the end, Zhào Míngzhuó gave up his seat, pulled up a chair next to Wēn Sòng, and began one-on-one mahjong instruction.

During this time, Wēn Sòng drank a beverage that an Omega had offered to Zhào Míngzhuó. Zhào Míngzhuó hadn’t drunk it, giving it directly to him instead.

This instantly made the Omega’s face turn pale.

Wēn Sòng knew the Omega’s petty attempt to show off their supposed intimacy with Zhào Míngzhuó in front of him. Unfortunately, Zhào Míngzhuó was an Alpha who appeared affectionate but was actually cold-hearted.

    Perhaps,

This Omega was using the wrong tactics.

Perhaps due to staying up late nursing the night before, Wēn Sòng felt a bit tired and his head was heavy. After playing a few rounds, he couldn’t get into the rhythm and decided to stop, finding an excuse to look for a room to rest for half an hour.

Before leaving, Wēn Sòng glanced at the sofa.

He noticed that Guān Suī had already left without a word.

Perhaps it was his imagination, but he felt that the other man looked unwell, his mood low, like a black mist brewing before a storm, quietly waiting for the moment of eruption.

    It was normal, though.

He had just heard that the other man was currently in his Rut Period.

Guān Suī was not an easy-tempered Alpha to begin with.

Regardless of whether the other man was good or bad, the fact that he had helped Wēn Sòng vent his frustration prevented Wēn Sòng from defining him as the latter.

As he walked, his vision blurred.

Wēn Sòng supported his head, feeling his consciousness slowly fading.

He walked down the long corridor, turned a corner, and stood in front of a door. He couldn’t distinguish the room number. He pressed the doorknob, but the door didn’t open. Instead, the door opened from the inside.

    “………”

A strong, firm hand reached out from inside and gripped Wēn Sòng’s wrist. The difference in strength between them was too great; he had no time to struggle before he was violently yanked inside.

The door slammed shut with a loud, violent sound.

In a dizzying spin, Wēn Sòng was pushed against the back of the door, the hard solid wood pressing painfully against him.

The room lights were off, making it too dark to discern who the person in front of him was.

The only thing he knew was that the person was an Alpha.

    “You—”

Wēn Sòng felt dizzy and inexplicably hot all over.

The pain brought his consciousness back for a moment.

    What was happening!

Wēn Sòng instantly sensed that something was wrong and realized he had been drugged.

As he was momentarily distracted, the Alpha, who was holding his hands pinned above his head, slowly leaned closer.

A cool nose brushed against his cheek.

The Pheromone of wild Agave drilled into his nasal cavity.

Although Wēn Sòng was a Beta, unlike others, he could smell the Pheromones of Alphas and Omegas during their Rut Periods and heat cycles without being affected.

The Alpha gripping him was Agave.

    Then that person,

Wasn’t it Guān Suī, who had left earlier?!

Wēn Sòng’s rationality was stretched taut like a thread. He wanted to fight back fiercely but felt weak all over, his body temperature steadily rising, becoming scorching hot.

    “Guān Suī.”

    “Snap out of it.”

Sensing Guān Suī’s tentative kiss landing near the corner of his lips, Wēn Sòng’s sensitive body reacted instantly. Feeling under siege, he quickly turned his head to avoid the kiss, trying to rouse the other man’s consciousness.

“Look closely at who I am—!”

Guān Suī’s clear voice was extremely hoarse as he hummed, “Mm.”

    “Wēn Sòng.”

    “Can I sleep with you?”

Wēn Sòng’s pupils contracted. Before he could voice his refusal, the Alpha’s tongue lightly licked and nipped at his neck.

Their breaths intertwined intimately in the dark environment.

Hot air sprayed against his neck, causing his pale skin to tingle, his blood vessels to throb, and his emotions to surge violently. The other man lowered his voice, drawing out the end of his sentence, and then said, word by word:

“You can sleep with me too.”
