It was two in the morning, and the skyscrapers of S City were still brightly lit.
A light rain had fallen during the night, and the puddles on the ground reflected the city. The neon lights shimmered on the water’s surface, rippling into colorful waves.
In the heart of the city was the H.K Bar.
The lights here were dazzling, and the noise was deafening.
Ji Shen had just finished delivering drinks to a VIP Room and felt the atmosphere in the bar was a little strange tonight.
Were there usually this many people gathered in front of the bar counter?
This bar was located in the city center yet hidden at the end of a narrow alley, attracting all sorts of people every day.
Though they were meeting for the first time, they would exchange words using terminology Ji Shen didn’t understand before heading to a nearby small hotel for the night.
Ji Shen stood to the side, quietly waiting for the bartender to mix the drinks ordered by another room’s guests.
At the same time, his gaze drifted towards the crowd in front of the bar counter.
They had formed a small circle, and in the center sat one person.
Ji Shen remembered the person in the middle; he had just sat down when Ji Shen left the bar counter to deliver drinks.
A Haute Couture suit accentuated the man’s slender figure.
His features were handsome, his pupils light-colored, and his dark hair fell loosely over his shoulders. A black Ear Stud sparkled with a dark, intense light under the bar’s illumination, and a hint of cold severity tinged his brow.
Simply by sitting there, he exuded a dangerous aura that warned others to keep their distance.
That was why the people surrounding him only watched with fixed gazes; no one had yet dared to approach him.
Ji Shen had worked here for over two months, and excluding the regulars, this was the most beautiful person he had ever seen among the newcomers.
Using the word “beautiful” to describe a man was perhaps impolite, but Ji Shen couldn’t think of a more fitting adjective for him.
Facing the people gathered around him, the man offered no eye contact, merely slowly finishing the remaining wine in his stemmed glass.
“Sir, you seem to be in a bad mood? Perhaps drinking this glass will make everything better.” After the wine in the glass was finished, someone finally stepped forward to strike up a conversation.
He placed a freshly mixed drink next to the man’s hand.
The eerie, misty blue color, mixed with crushed ice, glowed unnaturally under the bar’s hazy, psychedelic lights.
Shen Jixun shifted his posture, crossing his long legs. He rested one hand on his face and tapped the glass tabletop with the index finger of his other hand.
He stared at the drink, which was clearly full of ill intent, and felt he shouldn’t have come here.
The month-long series of arranged blind dates orchestrated by his father had worn down his last bit of patience.
He currently wanted nothing more than to make this bar cease to exist tomorrow, and he also wanted to punch the heads of this entire group.
“Excuse me, could you please move aside?” Amidst the deliberately hushed voices of the crowd, this clear and cheerful voice sounded like orange soda on a summer day, instantly purifying the sticky, stuffy air.
Shen Jixun lifted his lashes to look at the source of the voice.
Judging by his clothes… he must be a bar waiter.
He was the tallest among the people surrounding him, with a good physique—broad shoulders and a narrow waist. His features still held a touch of youthful innocence, his dark hair was slightly wavy, and when he smiled, his eyes turned into crescent moons, revealing a pair of completely non-threatening canine teeth.
“Excuse me, guests, this gentleman is a friend I brought with me.” Ji Shen stepped in front of Shen Jixun.
The tall, broad figure suddenly moved across, blocking all the light and gazes falling on Shen Jixun.
Shen Jixun lowered his long lashes again, quietly waiting for the young man’s next words.
“Friend…? Are you trying to fool us, kid?” A lowly bar waiter didn’t seem like the type to know this seemingly noble and beautiful gentleman.
The person who had just offered the drink scrutinized Ji Shen before questioning him.
“Of course not. My friend just came to talk to me about something and will be leaving right away.” Ji Shen, who had never been good at lying since childhood, had just fabricated such an absurd lie for a complete stranger.
Ji Shen was extremely nervous. Firstly, he worried about being exposed, and secondly, he worried about meddling where he shouldn’t.
His guilty gaze and uneasy fidgeting immediately betrayed him.
The people around him instantly looked suspicious.
“Then tell us his na—”
Before the questioning could be finished, Ji Shen suddenly felt his fingers gently grasped by another cold hand.
The person who hadn’t spoken a word since sitting down finally spoke, “Yes, we know each other.”
His voice was cold, like it contained crushed snow, slow and deliberate, with steady breathing and a hint of aloofness.
Shen Jixun’s cooperation gave Ji Shen a bit more confidence in his lie. He lightly grasped Shen Jixun’s wrist in return and said, “So, could you all please move aside? I need to take him home now.”
Since the person involved had confirmed the story, the crowd didn’t press their luck any further.
The group scattered, but their peripheral vision lingered on Shen Jixun, creating a scene like wolves circling their prey.
Ji Shen finally let out a sigh of relief.
He pulled Shen Jixun up, led him through the dedicated staff passage, and took him to the back door.
Only after they were outside the bar did Ji Shen release his hand.
He awkwardly put his hands behind his back and stammered, “I-I’m sorry, I acted on my own initiative.”
Shen Jixun’s face was expressionless, and Ji Shen couldn’t tell if he was angry or something else.
He quickly explained, “I’m not usually allowed to meddle, but I… I felt like you didn’t want that kind of attention… and that drink had something wrong with it.”
Shen Jixun gently rubbed the wrist Ji Shen had pulled.
What kind of plot was this?
A Hero Saving the Beauty? Using the malice of that group to highlight his righteousness? And then lowering his guard to lure him in?
He suspected a bigger trap was waiting for him.
“Thank you so much. I almost drank that.” Shen Jixun looked up at him with a smile, deciding to play along.
Ji Shen was flattered and felt a little shy. He scratched his head and chuckled foolishly, “Well, I’ve been working here for a few months, so I can tell right away. You look new; is this your first time here?”
Shen Jixun nodded.
The night breeze blowing from the alley lifted his hair, brushing past Ji Shen’s face. Ji Shen realized they were standing too close.
He quickly took half a step back to create distance from Shen Jixun and said, “It looks like you just came for a drink, but our bar isn’t just for drinking. There’s also that… that kind of thing.”
Ji Shen was too embarrassed to say it out loud, blushing and gesturing clumsily.
Shen Jixun frowned slightly, confused. Had the script now evolved into having an unsophisticated fool play the “hero”?
“So, if you want to drink in the future, don’t come here,” Ji Shen patiently advised. “Or don’t come alone. After all, it’s dangerous for men these days too.”
After hearing all this, Shen Jixun still looked at him calmly, but his light-colored eyes were filled with complex emotions.
Ji Shen finished speaking and checked his watch. He didn’t spare any more thought for Shen Jixun. As he walked back, he waved and instructed, “Walk out from here, then turn right and walk straight, and you’ll see the bus stop. Goodbye, sir.”
Ji Shen pushed open the heavy door and went back inside.
Through the transparent glass door, Shen Jixun’s beautiful eyes narrowed slightly as he watched the receding figure. A meaningful light flickered in his eyes.
A few minutes later.
A Rolls-Royce smoothly pulled up at the alley entrance.
The assistant got out and opened the back door for Shen Jixun.
After the car drove a short distance, the assistant driving said, “Sir, he said it doesn’t matter if you weren’t satisfied with the people today. There are two more with suitable family backgrounds tomorrow…”
“It seems he won’t give up until he forces me into a Matrilocal Marriage.” Shen Jixun seemed to have anticipated this situation, his expression unchanged.
“Sir, why don’t we take the initiative and find a suitable young lady for an agreement marriage…” the assistant suggested seriously. “Only by making him give up will your subsequent plans go more smoothly…”
Shen Jixun didn’t reply after hearing this.
He quietly flipped through today’s Times.
He looked at the report commemorating the one-year anniversary of the passing of the Same-Sex Marriage Law Act.
He pondered for a moment before slowly curving his lips. Then, he looked up at the assistant through the rearview mirror and instructed, “Go investigate someone for me. I want all his information by tomorrow.”
“Yes.”

The next day.
It was still two in the morning at H.K Bar.
Ji Shen had just finished delivering drinks to the last room and finally had time to sit in a corner and catch his breath.
He pulled out his phone and opened his memo app.
After a series of additions and subtractions involving a long string of numbers, Ji Shen stretched out his legs against the wall and sighed deeply.
It seemed impossible to pay off this debt in two or three years, even after setting aside his mother’s medical expenses.
He looked at the people drinking and dancing in the center of the stage, wondering why the few regulars who came every day hadn’t shown up tonight.
Then he wondered what rich people were like. Was it true that money made the world go round?
He intended to take a quick nap in the corner during this lull.
But suddenly, an out-of-place commotion erupted outside the door.
It sounded like physical fighting.
“Ugh!” A security guard was thrown inside and landed on the floor. The crowd immediately scattered around him, forming a circle.
Ji Shen quickly stood up.
Then, dozens of burly men in black suits walked in orderly fashion from outside. Screams erupted, and the scene descended into chaos. Several bar managers quickly came forward to calm the guests.
They escorted them out of the bar one by one.
Ji Shen recognized their attire, reminding him of the people who had come to his house to collect debts.
He instinctively thought these people were looking for him.
So, Ji Shen quickly took off his work vest, smoothed his hair, hunched his back, and tried to blend in with the crowd to slip out.
But just as he reached the door, his supposedly careful disguise was immediately seen through.
Two men in black suits blocked him.
He had just paid off this month’s debt two days ago, so why were new people looking for him? Ji Shen could only assume his gambling father had created new trouble for him.
He was grabbed by the arms and slammed face-down onto a liquor table.
His face was pressed tightly against the cold glass.
The bar was quickly cleared, leaving only the menacing-looking men in black suits.
And the person the bodyguards respectfully addressed as, “Sir.”
The sound of leather shoes on the floor wasn’t loud, but the silence of the bar made Ji Shen feel as if those shoes were stepping on his heart, each step heavier and more despairing than the last.
“Sir” stopped just behind his line of sight. A cool, woody fragrance wafted over. Ji Shen sniffed, finding the scent strangely familiar.
Then, “Sir” sat down on the sofa opposite him.
“Who are you?!” Ji Shen struggled hard, but it was useless; he couldn’t even move his head.
Even with his seemingly muscular build and noticeable height, he had no chance of resisting against professionally trained bodyguards.
“Sir” didn’t speak, only making a soft sound, “Tsk.”
One person standing next to “Sir” immediately reprimanded, “Release him quickly! Didn’t Sir say not to hurt Mr. Ji?!”
The two men holding Ji Shen immediately let go and stepped back.
Ji Shen was freed, sliding weakly onto a chair that a bodyguard quickly pushed over.
He regulated his breathing and nervously looked at the “Sir” whom everyone respected.

Author’s Note:
———————-
Hello, darlings, I’m back from my wild times [facepalm laugh][facepalm laugh]
This is still a story I wrote for myself. The synopsis is everything. I love dog-training literature, muscular top x beautiful bottom literature, happy puppy top x cold-faced cute bottom, size difference, height difference, strength difference…
If nothing unexpected happens, it will still be a short story of about 100,000 characters. This book is entirely for my personal kinks. All plot holes, logical errors, and elementary-school-level business drama serve my personal kinks. As long as you don’t overthink it, you’ll enjoy it [facepalm laugh][facepalm laugh]
Note:
1. The top is a brainless (not really) loyal dog, leaning towards the sunny, happy puppy type.
2. The bottom is an arrogant “Queen,” as marked from the start.
3. I saw a warning about bottom competition and bottom jealousy. Let me explain: the supporting character approaching the top is arranged by the father to figure out the true relationship between the top and bottom and to sow discord (the supporting character interacts with the top for less than half a chapter, with no intimate contact, just sitting and chatting…). The top doesn’t want to expose the supporting character because they knew each other in the past. The bottom’s anger is not jealousy; he thinks the top doesn’t know the person is his father’s spy and is hiding it from him. If his father discovers they are fake lovers, his plan will fail. That’s what he’s angry about. Furthermore, his mother was cheated on in the past, and he mistakenly believes his agreement partner is also about to cheat, which is why he is furious, disgusted, and sad that both he and his mother have encountered such things…
4. The bottom does not shy away from his desires and feelings; the first time was his initiative.
5. The top will cry after their first time when the bottom suggests maintaining a physical relationship without giving him a title.
6. The top is very innocent; the bottom likes to tease him later on.
The pre-order is for *Little Cat Liuyi’s Manual for Raising a Human*, which will open in November. Please collect it, babies, please, please [begging][begging]
Character Setting: [Spoiled, Cute, Delicate, Beautiful, Cute Cat Bottom & Gentle, Melancholy, Big-Chested Daddy but Hearing-Impaired Top]
Synopsis:
Liuyi was a tabby cat. While wandering, he picked up a human.
Seeing the human’s pitiful eyes, Liuyi softened, climbed into his arms, and went back with him to a small rented room.
But gradually, he realized something was wrong.
The nearby cats said their humans made lots of noise every day, calling their names in various ways.
But…
Liuyi looked at the quiet person watching TV beside him. But why didn’t his human make any noise?
–
Because he was almost completely deaf and had no one to talk to, Shen Zhiyu gradually became quiet.
Lonely, he picked up a cat in the alley and felt relaxed with the cat’s company.
But as one frustrating thing after another happened around him, Shen Zhiyu’s depression worsened.
That night, he wrote his suicide note, arranged a place for the cat, and took a knife into the bathroom.
He didn’t expect that just as he finished running the water,
The door was violently kicked open. A completely naked, snow-skinned, beautiful young man rushed in and hugged his leg.
At the same time, he cried out loudly in a voice Shen Zhiyu could hear, “Human! Don’t send me away!”
–
Liuyi was truly terrified. He was confused about why the human was taking a knife into the bathroom when he suddenly saw the suicide note on the desk.
He frantically howled and clawed at the bathroom door, but there was no sound from inside.
In despair, he grew human limbs…
–
Liuyi’s Diary:
1. My heart was beating strangely fast today, and I couldn’t eat. The human took me to a human doctor, and it turned out it was because the human rushed out the door today and forgot to kiss me, and I got angry at myself?!
Nonsense!
It wasn’t because of that ~>_<
2. The human asked why I call him "human" in my diary.
Hmph, then why do you call me "cat"?!
Short Scene:
During the weekly fixed psychological therapy session.
Shen Zhiyu said, "I had planned to commit suicide last night."
The doctor gasped, "What changed your mind?"
Shen Zhiyu pondered, "He said he was going to a cat convention today and asked me to wake up early to tie his hair. I want him to look beautiful for the convention, and I want him to have a good meal when he comes back…"
Ramblings:
1. 1v1, HE, both pure, cat turns human, cat heals human, cats are the best, gentle daddy top
2. Because Liuyi is a cat, he has many logics that humans cannot understand. Don't scold Liuyi.
3. Hearing-impaired top. When he wants to be unreasonable, he takes off his hearing aid and says, "I can't hear you."
4. The setting is that Liuyi can understand some human writing.
5. The top has depression, but he will get better in the end.
