After Escaping Chapter 9
byNine. Secretary
When he woke up again, it was already dusk. Only a single nightlight illuminated the room with a faint, yellow glow.
Pei Shuyun struggled uncomfortably out of Gu Yu’s embrace. Though his movements were light, they still woke Gu Yu.
“You’re awake? Do you want something to eat?”
Pei Shuyun lowered his head, remaining silent.
Gu Yu put on his clothes and went out, quickly returning with a bowl of steaming hot porridge. He brought a spoonful of the warm porridge to Pei Shuyun’s lips.
Pei Shuyun didn’t know what game he was playing. During his outburst at the Police Station, he had almost believed Gu Yu would kill him, yet now he was treating him with such tenderness, gentle and considerate like a couple in the throes of first love.
“I had Assistant Ke bring all your things over. If you want to paint, I’ll have them convert the room at the very end of the corridor into an Art Studio. You can go there from now on.”
Gu Yu simply fed him the porridge, spoonful by spoonful. After the bowl was empty, he saw that Pei Shuyun was still staring blankly, unable to react.
Smiling, he leaned close to the man’s face, extended his tongue to lick the moisture from the corner of his lips, and gave him a light kiss:
“So sweet!”
Sure enough, he saw a blush rise on Pei Shuyun’s face, quickly spreading down to his neck.
The night passed peacefully, but the conflict erupted the next morning when Pei Shuyun was blocked at the door.
“Why won’t you let me go to work?”
Pei Shuyun was usually very well-mannered in public. In the past few days, however, he had unleashed all the temper and attitude he had suppressed for the previous twenty years onto Gu Yu.
“What right do you have to restrict my personal freedom? I have students waiting for me! Let me out!”
Gu Yu was unmoved: “Let you out, so you can run off and report me to the police again?”
“You…”
Pei Shuyun felt somewhat guilty, and his voice dropped: “You aren’t afraid of that anyway…”
Gu Yu crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at the doorway: “Afraid? If I didn’t have those connections, would you have successfully had me arrested?”
“I trusted you and gave you freedom, but you betrayed me and tried to retaliate. Now you’re blaming me for not letting you leave. Isn’t that a bit unreasonable?”
It was true that he had tried to escape first yesterday, and Pei Shuyun felt a pang of guilt. He was simple-minded, and Gu Yu easily twisted him around with a few words, making him completely forget that it was Gu Yu who had forced him first and restricted his freedom, which led to everything.
“But you can’t stop me from leaving the house! I’m not your kept Canary…” Pei Shuyun tugged at his clothes, still weakly fighting for his pitiful rights.
Gu Yu found this adorable. He had initially thought the man looked cold and aloof, but he hadn’t expected his personality to be so interesting.
“You can go out,” Gu Yu paused intentionally. Seeing the man’s clear eyes brighten, he continued:
“You can be my secretary and come to the company with me. At the company, I won’t restrict your personal freedom.”
It was just moving from his territory to another one. This calculating bastard made it sound so pleasant.
“You already have Assistant Ke, and I don’t know anything. I can’t be an assistant.”
“Ke Yi? Are you jealous?”
Jealous my ass, this shameless bastard! Pei Shuyun only dared to curse him silently in his mind.
“You don’t need to worry. I can personally teach you what you don’t know.”
The bastard leaned closer, tugging at his collar: “If you don’t want to go, then just wait for me at home every day. I’ll confiscate your clothes too. Canaries don’t need to wear clothes.”
The argument finally ended with Pei Shuyun’s complete defeat.
Assistant Ke managed the company affairs clearly, leaving only the important documents that required Gu Yu’s personal review.
Even so, after slacking off for two days, Gu Yu had accumulated a significant workload.
Pei Shuyun was angry. After entering the office, he ignored Gu Yu completely, walking straight into the adjoining rest room to find a book, showing no awareness of his duties as a secretary.
Gu Yu watched him with amusement as he began reviewing the company files. He then instructed someone to buy drawing boards, paper, and pens and send them in, so Pei Shuyun wouldn’t be bored alone.
As the sun began to set, Gu Yu stretched his shoulders and neck, which were sore from sitting for too long. He looked up and saw that several hours had passed on the wall clock.
He entered the rest room. Pei Shuyun was already asleep on the small bed. Paper and drawing tools were scattered messily nearby, with a few strokes outlining small white flowers.
The lines of the branches and leaves were graceful, capturing the flower’s spirit in just a few strokes. The bell-shaped flowers drooped as if waiting for the wind, and the budding flower heads were small and lovely.
Gu Yu gathered the drawing paper and placed it aside, then climbed onto the bed and covered the young man’s body.
The man must still be deep in sleep, his cheeks flushed with an inviting glow. His long eyelashes trembled slightly, casting a shadow beneath his eyes.
It seemed Pei Shuyun was not having a peaceful dream.
Gu Yu took the rounded earlobe into his mouth and began to lick it, kissing his way down, leaving a wet trail.
He stripped away the obstructing clothes with one hand, revealing the snow-white, tempting flesh beneath. The marks left previously had faded considerably. Gu Yu discontentedly nipped at a nipple. Under the light bite, the man let out a soft, uncomfortable whimper.
Pei Shuyun felt increasingly uncomfortable in his sleep, his body burning with an unbearable heat that made him involuntarily gasp.
His lower body seemed to be engulfed in fire, and waves of pleasure vaguely assaulted him. The sudden invasion of his private parts, coupled with the pain of being forcibly occupied previously, filled him with terror. With a startled cry, Pei Shuyun woke up from his dream.
He saw that Gu Yu had already parted his legs and was holding and playing with his member with great interest. Gu Yu looked up and met his eyes, completely unfazed.
He kneaded it hard a few more times, squeezing out a few drops of fluid from the engorged organ.
He slowly pressed his upper body down, radiating an unhurried dominance:
“Yunyun, you’re awake!”
