After Dressing Up As A Woman, My Roommates All Kissed Me Chapter 8
byChapter 8 Chapter 8 “Sheng Sheng, your waist is so slender.”…
Pei Yisheng felt a sense of urgency. After all, he didn’t have much money on hand, and to be safe—not putting all his eggs in one basket—Pei Yisheng also inquired about part-time work at a bar.
The bars he frequented during his time as Young Master Pei were high-end, offering high service fees and tips. Correspondingly, the clientele was also likely to be people he couldn’t afford to offend or resist now.
In contrast, the bar near his school was close by, convenient for work, and mostly frequented by students, so things wouldn’t get too out of hand.
Although the pay was lower, it was safer. He would only consider working at the previous high-end bars if he truly couldn’t continue as a stand-in model later on.
Pei Yisheng had a good image; he was hired almost immediately upon standing before the manager. He received his uniform and instructions, and after a brief training session, Pei Yisheng started work.
It must be said that this bar had something going for it. The environment, drinks, and games were all popular with young people. It started filling up automatically around nine o’clock, the atmosphere was lively, and it stayed buzzing until two in the morning.
Pei Yisheng darted between the various booth tables like a busy little butterfly. After getting off work, the deafening music seemed to still echo in his ears, and his entire body felt marinated in various chaotic smells.
He had four or five hundred in tips in his pocket, earned from chatting with people and pouring drinks.
Overall, it was more tiring than stand-in modeling and paid less.
Pei Yisheng comforted himself that this was a long-term job, valued for its stability, and dragged his exhausted body toward the school.
It was his first day working at the bar, and he was inexperienced; both his legs felt like they weren’t his own. He ambled slowly, not reaching the dorm until past three o’clock.
Using the last of his strength, he showered, climbed into bed, and collapsed into sleep before he even had time to draw the bed curtain.
He slept restlessly. In his dream, the sky was dark and the earth dim, heavy rain poured down, and the whole world seemed to be overturning into chaos. Heart-wrenching cries of sorrow came through the rain curtain, and even though he couldn’t see anything, it made his heart ache.
Hearing those sounds, Pei Yisheng desperately wanted to rush into the rain, but the rain curtain was like a cage, trapping him tightly within.
He shouted, but the rain curtain swallowed all his sound. He was like an anxious trapped beast inside. After an unknown amount of time, all external sounds vanished, and he lowered his head in resignation.
Crystal tears streamed down his cheeks like tiny rivers, soaking into the pillow.
Pei Yisheng curled up and hugged himself.
Pei Yisheng was woken up by the sound of a phone call. Song Wen’s highly recognizable voice was flirting intermittently with the person on the other end, turning explicit after just a few sentences. The bone-melting sounds from the phone faintly reached him, and Pei Yisheng really wanted to cover his ears.
Song Wen never used to talk on the phone in the dorm, and he certainly wouldn’t flirt like this.
Did he not realize Pei Yisheng was sleeping in the dorm?
Pei Yisheng struggled to open his eyes and realized his bed curtain was open. His bed was very soft and fluffy, making it genuinely hard to spot him from below.
This was awkward. Pei Yisheng slowed his breathing, not wanting to face this socially mortifying moment.
Fortunately, the person on the other end was effective; Song Wen didn’t stay long and left. The door closed, and Pei Yisheng quickly climbed out of bed to tidy up.
His eyes were swollen like peaches, and his spirit was listless. He almost didn’t recognize the person in the mirror; he looked as if his vital essence had been sucked out.
He rubbed his face to make himself less stiff.
He had class in the afternoon. Pei Yisheng made himself an iced Americano to reduce the swelling and ate a small bread roll for brunch. While he still had some time, he threw his dirty clothes into the washing machine and tidied up the room.
The physical labor gave him no time to overthink things.
“If that’s what you think, there’s nothing I can do.” Song Wen curled his lips into a smirk, but there was no trace of a smile in his eyes. “I have things to do, so I won’t stay.”
He said he had prepared a surprise, but it turned out he just wanted a title from him—he really didn’t know his place.
Song Wen came with high expectations and left disappointed, losing even the mood to go out and play. He returned directly to school. He hadn’t shown his face to his mentors and professors for a while. Since he had plenty of gifts in the car, he decided to take them and go brush up his image.
The car stopped below the Administration Building. Song Wen, carrying the gift boxes, gracefully walked up the steps. The transparent glass door reflected the scene inside. A person stood with their back to the door, crying pitifully in front of a full-length mirror. From Song Wen’s angle, he could see a sliver of their chin.
He slowed his steps. The person seemed startled by the sound of footsteps and abruptly turned around, revealing red-rimmed eyes, a wronged expression, and a rather delicate appearance.
Fang Xin hadn’t expected anyone to come at this time, let alone see him crying. He frantically wiped his eyes with his sleeve, ready to run away.
Song Wen, however, became interested. He had never met anyone who not only remained indifferent to him but also wanted to run away. Although the person looked timid, wasn’t timid better? Timid people wouldn’t be as difficult to deal with as the one he met today.
“Student, did you run into some trouble?” Song Wen played the role of a kind-hearted person convincingly.
Fang Xin knew the other person was talking to him. He subtly sized up the man and then stopped moving. He stammered, “N-no, nothing is wrong.”
“Is that so? Then I misunderstood.” Song Wen made a gesture as if he were about to leave. “Student, go wash your face. The restroom is in that direction.”
As expected, Fang Xin was misled by Song Wen’s demeanor, believing the other party was a good person sent from heaven to help him. As Song Wen turned to leave, he couldn’t help but seek assistance, “Student, can you really help me?”
“Tell me about it,” Song Wen looked at him with a full smile.
Fang Xin’s problem was both big and small. He was able to attend school because his family took out a loan. He thought they could repay it slowly, but unexpectedly, his family was scammed, and the loan was high-interest debt. If they couldn’t repay it before today, the interest would snowball to an unbearable level for his family.
He had no choice but to try and get his tuition money back from the school. He knew the school offered student loans, and he could just apply for one later.
But the teacher said the tuition fees had already been uniformly transferred, and there was nothing he could do. Fang Xin truly didn’t know what to do, which was why he started crying right after leaving the teacher’s office.
When Song Wen heard this, a smile curled up at the corner of his mouth. Money issues were no issue for him. “Simple. I’ll lend it to you.”
“Really?” Fang Xin’s eyes lit up.
Of course, Song Wen could. His gaze scanned the other person up and down. When Fang Xin stood up, his body was quite slender. Although his skin wasn’t as fair as Pei Yisheng’s, he wasn’t as delicate-looking as Pei Yisheng, and his temperament wasn’t as good as Pei Yisheng’s, he could serve as a small stand-in for a while. Song Wen was getting annoyed by never getting what he wanted.
Fang Xin was immersed in the joy of being rescued. He hesitantly said, “It might take me a long time to pay you back, but I will work hard and try to repay you as soon as possible.”
Since he had just met the person, Song Wen still had the patience to go through the motions. He reached out and wiped Fang Xin’s tears. “These are small matters. Your studies are important. Don’t overwork yourself.”
Unlike Pei Yisheng’s reaction to hearing these words, Fang Xin nodded, his face slightly flushed.
Song Wen’s smile lessened slightly, and he thought contemptuously, a stand-in is just a stand-in; they can’t resist even this small favor.
He lost interest in continuing the game, had Fang Xin add him on WeChat, and then went upstairs to see the teachers.
Fang Xin held his phone pressed against his heart, his eyes watching Song Wen disappear around the stairwell. After paying off the high-interest loan and comforting his parents, he finally opened Song Wen’s WeChat profile.
Song Wen was born to be high-profile. His WeChat avatar was a photo of himself surfing; his body was as good as a male model’s, and his face was dashing and romantic. If you looked at his peach blossom eyes for too long, you might fall in love with him.
Fang Xin blushed and thought, why were Qin Zhou and Wen Xiuyun ranked ahead of Song Wen? Clearly, Song Wen was the best.
He secretly saved Song Wen’s avatar to his album. He looked at the photos of Qin Zhou and Wen Xiuyun he had saved earlier from a post, zoomed in, but still couldn’t bring himself to delete them.
After admiring them for a while longer, he struggled and finally deleted the photo of Wen Xiuyun that had a tiny glimpse of Pei Yisheng in the background when zoomed in.
He didn’t like that person, not one bit.
Pei Yisheng suddenly sneezed.
“Are you okay, Sheng Sheng?”
“I’m fine, Senior Sister,” Pei Yisheng rubbed his nose. “Maybe someone is thinking of me.”
Meng Zihua laughed heartily. “You cheeky kid. Just make sure you don’t catch a cold! The CP exhibition is settled then. Don’t stand up your Senior Sister at the last minute!”
Pei Yisheng shook his head. “I won’t, Senior Sister, you can rest assured. But can I really pull it off?”
“Of course you can. Your conditions are excellent. If you weren’t so averse to it, I would have dragged you into the studio to take commercial orders long ago.”
With her assurance, Pei Yisheng felt much more relieved. After seeing Meng Zihua off, Pei Yisheng told Su Yiyi the news.
They had originally planned to go to the exhibition together to support Cheng Cheng’s photo shoot. Now that he had to participate himself, he wasn’t sure what Su Yiyi would arrange. Since he was the one who had essentially canceled on Su Yiyi first, Pei Yisheng consciously brought some tasty treats before telling her.
Unexpectedly, Su Yiyi was quite happy. “Sheng Sheng, really? You’re going to save the day! Can I come with you? I’ll be your little assistant!”
“But it will be very tiring.”
“Then all the more reason for me to go! I’ll make sure you have the energy to come back. Plus, I have makeup skills. I can help you with touch-ups and costume changes.” Su Yiyi counted the benefits of her presence on her fingers.
Pei Yisheng was deeply moved. A small dimple appeared by his cheek, making him look obedient and sweet. “Thank you, Yiyi. I’ll treat you to a meal when it’s over.”
“Then I’ll look forward to your feast!”
To achieve the best results, Pei Yisheng spent the next few days running to his Senior Sister’s studio for early makeup trials and costume adjustments.
Pei Yisheng was handsome, tall, and slender yet had lean muscle. Everything he wore looked good. He didn’t even need to cinch his waist; his waist and back were incredibly attractive. This was one of the reasons he was chosen as a stand-in model.
However, this time he had to wear women’s clothing. The original cosplayer had undergone a minor cosmetic procedure and hadn’t recovered by the time the recovery period ended, and she had kept it a secret from the Senior Sister. This led to the tight schedule and the need to find Pei Yisheng to save the day.
“Don’t worry, once this makeup is on, no one will recognize you as Pei Yisheng. Your life won’t be affected.”
Meng Zihua stared enviously at Pei Yisheng, circling him twice before sighing, “Sheng Sheng, your waist is so slender.”
Pei Yisheng was already uncomfortable with the corset and the ornate, court-style grand dress. After being teased by Meng Zihua, his face was flushed and his ears were hot, making him look like a ripe, pink peach.
