    Chapter 89: Beginning the Revenge

As dawn broke, a round of red sun slowly rose from the horizon, and golden light gradually dispelled the gloom of the night. People emerged from their tents one after another, stretching their lazy bodies and enjoying the warmth of the sun.

“Jiang Xianchuan, what should we do next?” Shi Yi asked, expertly operating a portable gas stove to cook noodles, looking up at Jiang Xianchuan not far away. Jiang Xianchuan frowned slightly, his deep gaze fixed on the distance, lost in thought. After a long while, he finally responded, “Do you guys have any ideas?”

Bai Su paused for a moment, then said softly, “When I was imprisoned before, I overheard someone say that the further north you go, the fewer zombies there are. In my opinion, they may be planning to head north.”

Jiang Xianchuan nodded after listening, agreeing with the statement. Then, Qi An, who had been silent, suddenly closed his eyes, seemingly using a special ability to sense the surrounding situation. After a while, he opened his eyes and said, “I still can’t control the zombies nearby. If we want to use the power of zombies to deal with the enemy, I’m afraid we have to go back a bit.”

Jiang Xianchuan thought for a moment, then decisively nodded and replied, “Okay, then let’s go back together after breakfast.” So, everyone quickened their pace, and soon swept away the steaming noodles. After filling their stomachs, they packed their luggage and equipment, and walked firmly towards the former camp.

Before long, the group arrived at the entrance of the camp. When they witnessed the desolate scene before them, everyone’s heart couldn’t help but surge with an unspeakable sadness.

The once prosperous and lively camp, full of vitality, had now turned into a heartbreaking ruin. Looking around, there were broken walls everywhere, and broken bricks and rubble scattered all over the ground, as if a tremendous disaster had just occurred here.

Shi Yi slowly reached out and gently stroked the shocking marks on the walls, her heart filled with emotion. Jiang Xianchuan, on the other hand, silently stared into the distance, a trace of firm determination faintly revealed in his deep eyes.

“They… really, have to die!” Jiang Xianchuan gritted his teeth, squeezing these words out from between his teeth, his tone full of anger and hatred.

Hearing this, the others nodded vigorously, expressing their deep agreement with what he said. At this time, Qi An opened his mouth and said, “I have successfully gathered a large wave of zombies. Next, as long as I can effectively control them and make them follow us obediently.”

Jiang Xianchuan nodded slightly in agreement with the plan. Then, he frowned and said thoughtfully, “But now there is still a problem, how can we find a way to open the door of this hospital?” As soon as he finished speaking, Qi An playfully blinked his eyes and reminded him with a smile, “Oh my, how could brother forget my special ability again? I can possess people!”

So, the group gathered together and discussed for a while. Their eyes met, conveying determination and resolve. Soon, having reached a consensus, they no longer hesitated, and strode straight towards the hospital.

Along the way, they remained vigilant, their footsteps hurried but steady. Before long, the towering hospital building appeared before them. However, they did not rashly approach, but carefully found a hidden corner not far from the hospital and crouched down.

Everyone held their breath, their eyes fixed on the hospital’s every move, not letting go of any sign. Time passed by, and the atmosphere became increasingly tense. At this moment, the tightly closed door of the hospital slowly opened, emitting a muffled sound.

“It seems Qi An succeeded!” Shi Yi said softly, her tone filled with undisguised excitement. Immediately afterwards, a group of hideous, bared-teeth zombies surged out of the door like a tide, running wildly towards the hospital. These zombies seemed to have lost their minds, their mouths emitting low roars that sent chills down one’s spine.

Almost at the same time, intense gunshots rang out from inside the hospital, one after another. Obviously, the people in the hospital had discovered the zombies’ invasion and launched a fierce resistance. Seeing this, Jiang Xianchuan and the others exchanged glances, understanding each other’s intentions.

Sooner said than done, Jiang Xianchuan’s figure swayed, and he quickly rushed into the enemy ranks. He held a sharp blade in his hand, its cold light flashing. With a flick of his wrist, the blade drew graceful and deadly arcs in the air. Each swing brought up a string of scarlet blood flowers, splashing on the ground, forming a bloody and terrifying picture.

Jiang Xianchuan’s movements were clean and neat, without any hesitation. His agility and dexterity allowed him to move freely among the enemies, like a fish swimming in water. In the blink of an eye, several enemies had fallen screaming at his feet, never to rise again.

The bloody smell permeated the air, but Jiang Xianchuan didn’t care. His eyes were always locked on the enemy leader in front. Their eyes met in the air, as if invisible sparks were splashing.

Jiang Xianchuan stared intently at the familiar woman in front of him, gritting his teeth inwardly. His lips slightly parted, and he silently spat out a few words to her: “You’re finished!” However, an unexpected thing happened. Just as he finished speaking, the surging, aggressive zombie horde seemed to have been drained of its soul, instantly losing all its vitality, and collapsed limply on the ground.

Seeing this scene, the woman was first stunned, then let out a sharp, ear-piercing laugh: “Hahahaha, I knew you would come here! Didn’t expect that, did you?” Jiang Xianchuan frowned upon hearing this, a hint of imperceptible doubt and worry flashed in his eyes. Qi An, on the side, also looked surprised, obviously not expecting this situation to occur.

At this time, the woman swept the people in front of her with a contemptuous gaze, and taunted: “Humph, you really raised a ‘good’ sister! She has revealed all your secrets! Also, you actually dared to bring a zombie who can possess others with you, no wonder you were able to slip away from under my nose so easily last time.”

Following the woman’s gaze, Ji Tiantian was standing timidly behind her, her beautiful eyes filled with tears, looking pitifully at Jiang Xianchuan. At this moment, there was only one thought in Jiang Xianchuan’s mind, to kill her with his own hands.
