    Chapter 76: Deciding on Revenge

“What does Brother plan to do next?” Qi An looked at Jiang Xianchuan with concern, a hint of worry and curiosity in his eyes. Jiang Xianchuan pursed his lips and remained silent for a moment before slowly saying, “I need to find my friends…”

“They’re in the garage. Should I go with you, Brother?” Qi An offered. Jiang Xianchuan glanced at Qi An and nodded in agreement. So, the two of them headed towards the garage together.

When they arrived at the garage, they found that most of the people from the camp had gathered there. Jiang Xianchuan scanned the crowd and was slightly relieved to see that everyone was safe and sound. Just then, a familiar voice suddenly rang out.

“Chuan Chuan!” It was Li Lingyu. As soon as he saw that it was Jiang Xianchuan, he excitedly greeted him. But when he noticed the stranger behind Jiang Xianchuan, the smile on his face instantly disappeared, replaced by a frown and a look of suspicion.

“Who is he?” Li Lingyu asked in a slightly accusatory tone, his eyes fixed on Qi An. Faced with Li Lingyu’s direct question, Jiang Xianchuan quickly explained, “Consider him a friend. I’ll explain the other things to you in detail later. Right now, quickly tell me what happened?”

Li Lingyu took a deep breath, his expression turning serious. Lowering his voice, he said, “Some mysterious people have infiltrated the camp. They are extremely cruel. They not only killed many of our ability-user companions, but they also ate their hearts. Now, the survivors in the camp are basically all gathered here…” After hearing Li Lingyu’s words, Jiang Xianchuan’s mood became extremely heavy, and a strong sense of anger surged into his heart.

Jiang Xianchuan’s face was full of anger, as if it could burst out from his eyes. At this moment, Qi An calmly leaned close to Jiang Xianchuan’s ear and whispered, “I can help you, Brother.” Jiang Xianchuan turned to look at Qi An, his eyes full of doubt and confusion, and coldly asked, “How will you help?”

Facing Jiang Xianchuan’s question, Qi An simply smiled, not answering immediately. Then, he winked playfully, a mysterious arc forming at the corner of his mouth, and casually said, “It’s already done. Brother can go out with peace of mind.”

Hearing this, Jiang Xianchuan was shocked and a look of surprise appeared on his face. However, out of caution, he decided to leave Bai Su and Yi Yuzhi to lead the others in the camp and wait there, just in case. Then, he carefully walked out with Li Lingyu and Qi Xiaoyao.

As soon as they left the camp, the three were stunned by the scene before them. Four gruesome corpses lay strewn on the ground, the bloody scene sending chills down their spines. The air was filled with a strong, pungent smell of blood.

Just then, a figure silently appeared behind them. Jiang Xianchuan quickly turned around and found that it was Qi An.

Qi An had a smug smile on his face as he said to Jiang Xianchuan, as if seeking praise, “Brother, I did a good job, right?”

Jiang Xianchuan looked at the corpses again and couldn’t help but gasp. Their terrifying deaths were too difficult to look at directly. He frowned, stared at Qi An, and said in a deep voice, “What exactly are you… Never mind.”

Even so, Jiang Xianchuan’s heart was now filled with even more curiosity. Why did this Qi An choose to cooperate with him? With the strength he had shown, killing these people would be as easy as flipping his hand; there was no need to rely on anyone else’s power. What secrets were hidden within this?

Afterward, Jiang Xianchuan led the people in the camp with a solemn expression as they began to carefully clean the entire camp. Everyone worked together, not letting go of any corner. Some people held buckets and rags, carefully wiping away the bloodstains left on the ground; others held brooms, cleaning up the debris and dust.

After some effort, the shocking bloodstains were gradually washed away, and the bloody smell that had permeated the camp slowly dissipated. When the last bloodstain disappeared, the camp seemed to have returned to the way it was before nothing had happened. However, the shadow in everyone’s heart was difficult to erase.

At this time, Bai Su, who had been silent all along, slowly walked over, tightly clutching a piece of paper in his hand. His face looked a little pale, and his mood seemed particularly low. He took a deep breath and handed the paper to Jiang Xianchuan, saying softly, “This is the list of the deceased.”

Jiang Xianchuan took the thin piece of paper, his eyes falling on the densely packed names, and a grief beyond words welled up in his heart.

Those familiar or unfamiliar names were now like sharp daggers, piercing his heart. His fingers trembled slightly as he looked down the list, line by line. Each time he saw a name, the person’s past voice, appearance, and the bits and pieces of time he spent with them would flash through his mind.

Finally, Jiang Xianchuan finished reading the entire page of names. He slowly raised his head, his eyes revealing unparalleled determination and anger. Gritting his teeth, he squeezed out a sentence: “I will make them pay the price!” This sentence was like a vow, echoing in the air and making everyone present feel the burning anger and determination for revenge in the depths of his heart.

“Bai Su, go and gather Li Lingyu and the others for an emergency meeting!” Jiang Xianchuan said with a solemn expression.

“Okay!” Bai Su responded and quickly went to carry out the task.

Before long, everyone had arrived. The group sat together, their eyes focused on Jiang Xianchuan, waiting for him to speak.

Jiang Xianchuan cleared his throat and began to speak seriously about the severe situation they faced, “Everyone, a mysterious and powerful force has emerged. For convenience, let’s temporarily call them the ‘Ability Plunderers.’ As the name suggests, these guys specialize in doing such insane things as stripping others of their abilities. Moreover, it was this group of despicable fellows who attacked our camp before!”

At this point, Jiang Xianchuan paused, then pointed to a figure standing behind him, a bizarre-looking being.

“Let me introduce you to this one behind me… well, he can’t be considered a human in the purest sense, but a zombie with the ability to think independently, named Qi An. Now, he has become our staunch ally and will fight alongside us to eradicate those vile Ability Plunderers!”

After hearing what Jiang Xianchuan said, Qi An’s lips curved into a faint smile. He then gently raised his hand, waved at the crowd, and said, “Hello, everyone!”

However, the faces of those standing opposite him did not immediately show friendly expressions. They exchanged glances, as if they still harbored doubts and concerns about cooperating with a zombie.

Bai Su frowned, staring intently at Qi An, his eyes revealing obvious distrust. Qi Xiaoyao crossed his arms and remained silent, but his tense expression showed the entanglement in his heart. For a moment, the atmosphere became somewhat heavy, and no one knew how to break this awkward and tense situation.
