    Chapter 26: Giving Gifts

The three of them happily ate hotpot and chatted, enjoying a comfortable life.

“Do you think the person who wanted to trade supplies with us is gone?” Jiang Xianchuan suddenly remembered the figure and couldn’t help but ask.

“I don’t know.” Shi Yi shook her head, indicating she wasn’t sure.

“Shi Yi, how about preparing a gift?” Jiang Xianchuan revealed a cunning smile, as if he had thought of something interesting.

Shi Yi raised her eyebrows, looking at him suspiciously, “Give a gift? Why give a gift to that person?”

Jiang Xianchuan smiled mysteriously, “Hehe, just don’t worry about so much! Just do as I say.”

Seeing his persistence, Shi Yi didn’t ask further. She turned and went into the room, taking out a delicate little gift box.

Jiang Xianchuan took the gift box, then took a white piece of clothing from the balcony and hung it on the door, then waited quietly.

Before long, there was a knock on their door. Jiang Xianchuan and Shi Yi exchanged a glance, a trace of excitement flashing in their eyes.

“He’s here.” Jiang Xianchuan said softly, then quickly walked to the door and opened it.

Standing outside the door was a figure, exactly the mysterious person who had come to trade supplies with them before. Seeing Jiang Xianchuan, a trace of surprise appeared in the mysterious person’s eyes, but it quickly returned to calm.

“What does this mean?” The mysterious person looked at the clothes hanging on the door, his tone somewhat wary.

Jiang Xianchuan smiled and handed him the gift box in his hand, “It’s just a small token of appreciation, please accept it.”

The mysterious person hesitated for a moment, but still reached out and took the gift box. He glanced at the contents, and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.

“Thank you,” the mysterious person responded politely.

“It’s nothing, it’s what we should do, consider it as thanking you for helping us last time,” Jiang Xianchuan replied with a smile, a trace of gratitude flashing in his eyes.

The mysterious person was silent for a moment, and finally spoke, “My name is Chu Tianhe.” Seeming to feel Jiang Xianchuan’s kindness, he was willing to say a few more words to express his gratitude.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, my name is Jiang Xianchuan. This is Shi Yi, and this is Li Lingyu,” Jiang Xianchuan enthusiastically introduced the people around him.

Upon hearing this, Shi Yi showed a friendly smile on her face and took the initiative to greet Chu Tianhe, “Hello!”

Li Lingyu appeared relatively reserved, only nodding to Chu Tianhe as a greeting.

Chu Tianhe looked solemnly at the teenager in front of him and said slowly, “Young man, let me tell you the truth. According to my observation, there may be a zombie horde here in less than two weeks. For some reason, the zombies outside the city are all moving closer to the city. If you want to survive, you should leave quickly.”

He couldn’t help but sigh, a trace of worry and helplessness flashing in his eyes.

Chu Tianhe looked at the boy who was shorter than him and couldn’t help feeling a little worried.

He knew very well that facing the upcoming zombie horde, these young lives would face great danger. He hoped they could escape in time and find a safer place.

Jiang Xianchuan was silent for a moment, then softly replied, “Understood, thank you.” His voice carried a bit of firmness.

Chu Tianhe nodded and continued to urge, “Then I’ll leave first. If you plan to leave, you can go to City Y, there is a safe zone there, and I plan to go there too.” After speaking, he turned and left, leaving the three to think about what to do next.

The boy watched Chu Tianhe’s receding figure and murmured to himself, “Okay, understood, thank you.”

His gaze gradually became firm, as if he had already made a decision.
