Chapter 6: Playing the Ungrateful Card with Me, Huh?

Ever since Jiang Xianchuan gave the twin sisters food that day, they would knock on the door every day, begging Jiang Xianchuan and Shi Yi to give them food, but the boy was never seen.

But Jiang Xianchuan and Shi Yi weren’t the saintly type, so they pretended not to hear. Later, when they were annoyed beyond bearing, Shi Yi gave them some food and seeds, telling them to be self-sufficient and stating that she wouldn’t help them anymore in the future.

However, this action also incurred the resentment of the two sisters.

Today, with nothing to do, Jiang Xianchuan lay on the beanbag chair reading a novel, while Shi Yi was drawing on the side.

But suddenly, music came from outside the door. Jiang Xianchuan immediately jumped up from the sofa and saw Tan Fei placing a Bluetooth Speaker in front of their door in the surveillance footage.

“Seriously, is this person really playing the ungrateful card?”

Shi Yi immediately opened the door, wanting to bring the speaker inside, but it was too late. Most of the zombies in the neighborhood had swarmed up, so Shi Yi had no choice but to close the door and let the zombies bang on it.

“These zombies are running so fast! We just noticed it, and so many have come up!”

Shi Yi leaned against the door, panting. Jiang Xianchuan also found it strange. The zombies he had encountered before weren’t this fast, right? Could it be that they had evolved?

But now wasn’t the time to worry about whether the zombies were evolving or not. The most important thing was to turn off the Bluetooth Speaker outside the door.

The two originally planned to wait for the Bluetooth Speaker to run out of power and then let the zombies disperse on their own before going out to clean up the rest, but after thinking about it, they felt that this was unscientific.

So Jiang Xianchuan went to the balcony, looked at the not-so-far distance between his house and Tan Wei’s house, and took out the climbing rope to tie it around himself.

“What do you want to do?”

“You stay at home, I’ll go to Tan Wei’s house to turn off the music source.”

“How are you going to get there from so far away?”

Jiang Xianchuan tied the other end of the rope securely and then carefully climbed over the railing, squatting. “Jump over.”

Before Shi Yi could stop him, Jiang Xianchuan took a big leap and jumped over.

After untying the rope from his body, Jiang Xianchuan saw that Tan Yi had already fallen in a pool of blood. Her intestines were turned out, and her internal organs were scattered all over the ground. The boy they hadn’t seen in days was stabbing Tan Fei’s head with a knife, again and again.

Although Jiang Xianchuan had already witnessed the horror of the apocalypse, he couldn’t help but be surprised by this scene.

The boy also noticed Jiang Xianchuan’s arrival. He stood up and looked at Jiang Xianchuan, who immediately drew his knife and prepared for battle.

But the boy just threw the knife in his hand far away and then pointed to the innermost bedroom.

Jiang Xianchuan walked in, looked at the phone inside that was playing music, immediately pressed pause, and then walked out looking at the boy.

He didn’t even know what this boy meant. He first helped the twins ask for food, then killed Tan Wei, but now he brutally killed the twins, but when he encountered himself, he threw his weapon far away.

Jiang Xianchuan couldn’t understand, “What exactly do you mean? Why did you kill Tan Wei, and… them?”

    “Didn’t like looking at him.”

“What?” Jiang Xianchuan suspected he had heard wrong, “Didn’t like looking at who? Tan Wei?”

The boy nodded, “He beats people every day, noisy.”

“Then what about them? Why did you kill them?”

    “Playing music, noisy.”

Okay, okay, what a reason to kill someone. So, if anyone bothers you with noise, you kill them.

“Then what about me? Why did you throw the knife away when you saw me?”

    “Don’t want to kill you.”

What a “don’t want to kill me,” should I thank you? Maybe I really should. Looking at the boy who was much taller than him, Jiang Xianchuan felt that if they really fought, he wouldn’t necessarily have a 100% chance of winning.

Perhaps the time waiting for the zombies to disperse was too awkward, Jiang Xianchuan came to the balcony, “Shi Yi! Throw me a bread and a bottle of water!”

After that, Jiang Xianchuan gave the bread and water to the boy, “You probably haven’t eaten anything for a while, it’s not poisoned.”

Afraid that the boy wouldn’t believe him, Jiang Xianchuan first tried a bite himself before handing it to him. After watching the boy finish eating, Jiang Xianchuan squatted down, propping his head with his hand, and looked at him.

He hadn’t noticed when he saw him last time, but this person had a very long scar on his neck. Not only that, but all the exposed skin was covered in scars.

Could it be that he was also abused? Or did he cut himself?
