    Teacher

Heart. Standing in front of the massive floor-to-ceiling windows of the principal’s office, Yi Shang gazed at the students coming and going on campus, her expression calm, but her thoughts drifted far away. Since returning to Linxi First High School and taking on the position of principal, she had devoted herself wholeheartedly to the development of the academy and the advancement of scientific research projects, but deep down, there was always a void: her longing for Jiang Wan’yuan.

Until that day, when she saw the name “Jiang Wan’yuan” on the academy’s list of teachers, a familiar feeling instantly surged into her heart. When she first met Jiang Wan’yuan as a teacher, the shock and excitement in her heart almost made her unable to maintain her usual aloofness. Jiang Wan’yuan’s every smile and those familiar little habits all made Yi Shang believe that the person before her was the lover she had been longing for day and night.

Yi Shang decided to call Jiang Wan’yuan to her office alone. She sat behind the wide desk, outwardly flipping through documents, but her heart was in turmoil. Before long, a knock came at the door. “Come in,” Yi Shang said, trying to make her voice sound normal.

Jiang Wan’yuan pushed open the door and walked in, her heart filled with panic. She saw Yi Shang sitting behind the desk at a glance, the once-familiar face now holding a hint of authority. “Principal, you wanted to see me?” Jiang Wan’yuan tried her best to make her tone appear calm, but her eyes unconsciously darted around.

Yi Shang looked at Jiang Wan’yuan, and after a moment of silence, slowly said, “Teacher Jiang, I feel like we’ve met somewhere before.” Jiang Wan’yuan’s heart skipped a beat. She forced a smile and said, “Principal, you probably have me confused. I’ve always been on Earth, and this is my first time at Linxi First High School.”

Yi Shang frowned slightly. She didn’t believe Jiang Wan’yuan’s words, but she didn’t immediately refute them. “Teacher Jiang seems to have a lot of experience in teaching. The students have a very high opinion of you,” Yi Shang changed the subject, her eyes never leaving Jiang Wan’yuan’s face.

Jiang Wan’yuan breathed a slight sigh of relief and began to talk about her teaching philosophy and methods. But she knew in her heart that Yi Shang wouldn’t easily dismiss her doubts. Sure enough, Yi Shang suddenly interrupted her, “Teacher Jiang, I’m very interested in your past. Can you tell me about your previous experiences on Earth?”

Jiang Wan’yuan cursed inwardly. She hesitated for a moment and began to fabricate some mundane experiences on Earth. Yi Shang listened quietly, keenly aware that Jiang Wan’yuan’s words were full of intentionality and evasion. When Jiang Wan’yuan finished speaking, Yi Shang stood up and slowly walked up to Jiang Wan’yuan.

“Jiang Wan’yuan, you don’t have to pretend anymore. I know it’s you. Why are you pretending not to know me?” Yi Shang’s voice was low and gentle, her eyes filled with deep affection and doubt. Jiang Wan’yuan’s eyes instantly turned red. She turned her head away, not wanting Yi Shang to see her expression. “Principal, you really have the wrong person,” Jiang Wan’yuan’s voice trembled slightly.

Yi Shang gently grasped Jiang Wan’yuan’s shoulders, turning her body around and forcing her to meet her gaze. “Wan’yuan, we don’t need to be like this between us. I’ve been looking for you all these years. I know you must have your reasons, but tell me, okay?” Yi Shang’s eyes were filled with expectation and heartache.

Jiang Wan’yuan couldn’t hold back any longer, and tears welled up in her eyes. Her heart was filled with conflict and pain, on the one hand, deep longing for Yi Shang, and on the other hand, the fear of acknowledging her. “Yi Shang, I… I can’t implicate you. Some things are too dangerous,” Jiang Wan’yuan said, sobbing.

Yi Shang embraced Jiang Wan’yuan and gently comforted her, “No matter what the danger, we’ll face it together. In the days you were gone, I thought about you every day. Nothing scares me more than losing you.” Jiang Wan’yuan cried loudly in Yi Shang’s arms, her long-repressed emotions finally released.

When Jiang Wan’yuan’s emotions had calmed down a bit, Yi Shang helped her sit on the sofa and handed her a tissue. “Now can you tell me, what exactly happened?” Yi Shang asked gently.

Jiang Wan’yuan took a deep breath and slowly began to recount her story. As it turned out, after returning to Earth, Jiang Wan’yuan discovered a mysterious organization that was trying to control interstellar energy. This organization realized that Jiang Wan’yuan knew about their plot, so they threatened her that if she dared to reveal her identity or seek help, they would harm Yi Shang, Lin Jichuan, and Zhang Yao. To protect them, Jiang Wan’yuan had no choice but to hide her identity and pretend not to know Yi Shang.

Yi Shang frowned tightly after listening. “So that’s how it is, no wonder you… But you should trust me. We’ll figure out a way together. We can definitely solve this,” Yi Shang said, holding Jiang Wan’yuan’s hand tightly, her eyes resolute.

Jiang Wan’yuan hesitated for a moment and said, “This organization is very mysterious and powerful. They seem to have insiders at Linxi First High School as well. I don’t dare to act rashly, for fear of endangering everyone.” Yi Shang pondered for a moment and said, “In that case, we can’t alert them. I’ll have Lin Jichuan and Zhang Yao secretly investigate the suspicious people in the academy first. You also keep an eye out for any abnormalities.”

Jiang Wan’yuan nodded. Yi Shang looked at Jiang Wan’yuan and said seriously, “Wan’yuan, we won’t be separated again this time. No matter what difficulties we encounter, we’ll overcome them together.” Jiang Wan’yuan raised her head, looked at Yi Shang’s firm eyes, and a warm current surged in her heart.

From then on, Yi Shang was still the aloof and authoritative principal on the surface, handling various affairs of the academy, but in private, she maintained close contact with Jiang Wan’yuan, Lin Jichuan, and Zhang Yao. Lin Jichuan and Zhang Yao began to secretly investigate in the academy. They started with personnel changes in the academy and scientific research project cooperation, trying to find the hidden insiders.

One day, when Lin Jichuan was investigating the flow of funds for the academy’s scientific research projects, he discovered that a huge sum of money was flowing into a seemingly ordinary scientific research project, but the research content of this project was very sensitive and related to interstellar energy control technology. Lin Jichuan felt that there must be a problem behind this and quickly told Yi Shang and Zhang Yao about the situation.

After learning about this, Yi Shang decided to personally investigate the project in depth. Using her identity as the principal, she retrieved all the information about the project and secretly observed the scientific research team responsible for the project. During the investigation, she discovered that the behavior of a senior researcher in the team was very suspicious. This researcher often conducted secret communications with the outside world late at night, and the content of the communications was highly encrypted.

Yi Shang decided to conduct further surveillance and investigation of this researcher. One night, the researcher left the academy as usual, and Yi Shang and Lin Jichuan quietly followed behind him. They saw the researcher come to a remote warehouse near the academy. Yi Shang and Lin Jichuan lurked outside the warehouse and observed. Before long, bursts of conversation came from the warehouse. Although the voices were very low, Yi Shang still vaguely heard some fragments of information about the mysterious organization’s plan.

Yi Shang and Lin Jichuan exchanged glances and decided to risk sneaking into the warehouse. They carefully avoided the guards and quietly entered the interior of the warehouse. The warehouse was filled with various equipment and documents. Yi Shang found part of the mysterious organization’s plan in a document. They were trying to use the scientific research facilities of Xingyao Academy to develop a super weapon that could control the core of the universe’s energy. Once successful, the entire universe would fall under their control.

Just as Yi Shang and Lin Jichuan were preparing to leave, they suddenly heard a commotion outside. It turned out that the guards of the warehouse had discovered their tracks. Yi Shang and Lin Jichuan quickly hid, and taking advantage of the guards’ inattention, quietly slipped out of the warehouse and returned to the academy.

Yi Shang realized that the situation was urgent and that they had to take action as soon as possible. She summoned Jiang Wan’yuan, Lin Jichuan, and Zhang Yao to discuss countermeasures. “This mysterious organization’s plan is more dangerous than we thought. We must stop them as soon as possible,” Yi Shang said seriously.

Jiang Wan’yuan frowned and said, “But they’re in the dark, and we’re in the light. And we don’t know how many insiders they have. If we act rashly, it may make things worse.”

Lin Jichuan pondered for a moment and said, “We can use their own strategy against them. Since they want to use the academy’s scientific research facilities, we’ll make a fuss about this. Yi Shang, as the principal, you can take full control of that sensitive project under the pretext of checking the progress of the scientific research project. Then we’ll set up traps in secret to lure them in.”

Yi Shang nodded, feeling that this method was feasible. “Okay, let’s do that. But we have to act carefully and not let them detect our intentions.”

In the following days, Yi Shang, in her capacity as principal, took full control of the scientific research project. She arranged for scientific researchers she trusted to enter the project team and strictly controlled the progress of the project. At the same time, Lin Jichuan and Zhang Yao set up various monitoring devices around the project team, closely monitoring the every move of suspicious people.

The mysterious organization seemed to have detected some abnormalities, but they thought it was just a normal inspection by the academy and did not pay enough attention to it. Finally, under the careful planning of Yi Shang and others, the insiders of the mysterious organization couldn’t hold back any longer and prepared to take action.

One night, a group of men in black quietly sneaked into the academy’s scientific research laboratory, trying to steal the key data of the project. They thought everything was under control, but they didn’t know that they had already fallen into the trap of Yi Shang and others. Yi Shang, Lin Jichuan, and Zhang Yao led the academy’s security personnel to quickly surround the laboratory.

“You’re surrounded, surrender!” Yi Shang shouted loudly. Seeing this, the men in black immediately assumed a fighting stance. A fierce battle unfolded in the laboratory. Yi Shang was agile, and the energy sword in her hand was wielded with power, each attack accurately hitting the enemy. Lin Jichuan and Zhang Yao were not to be outdone, and engaged in a desperate fight with the men in black.

In the battle, Yi Shang discovered a leader-like figure among the men in black. His skills were particularly agile, and he seemed to be very familiar with the layout of the academy. Yi Shang realized that this person might be the key to unlocking the mystery of the mysterious organization. She concentrated her energy and engaged in a fierce duel with the leader. After a fierce battle, Yi Shang finally subdued the leader.

“Tell me, where is your organization? What’s your conspiracy?” Yi Shang asked coldly, pointing the energy sword at the leader’s neck. The leader snorted coldly and refused to answer. Yi Shang frowned and increased the strength in her hand, “It doesn’t matter if you don’t tell me, we have plenty of ways to make you talk.”

At this moment, the leader suddenly took out a remote control from his arms and pressed the button. An ear-piercing alarm suddenly sounded in the laboratory, and the surrounding equipment began to vibrate violently, as if an explosion was about to occur. “Since I can’t escape, let’s die together!” the leader shouted frantically.

Yi Shang was shocked. She quickly directed everyone to evacuate. At the critical moment when the laboratory was about to explode, Yi Shang and others successfully escaped from the laboratory. With a loud noise, the laboratory was blown into a ruin.

Although they didn’t get any useful information from the leader, Yi Shang and others were not discouraged. They found some clues on the men in black. After analysis, they discovered that the headquarters of the mysterious organization might be hidden on a remote abandoned planet.

Yi Shang decided to lead Jiang Wan’yuan, Lin Jichuan, and Zhang Yao to that abandoned planet to completely destroy the mysterious organization. They prepared their spacecraft and weapons and embarked on a dangerous journey.

After a long interstellar voyage, they finally arrived at that abandoned planet. The surface of the planet was barren, with abandoned buildings and wreckage everywhere. Yi Shang and others carefully walked out of the spacecraft and headed towards the headquarters of the mysterious organization.

During the advancement, they encountered various dangers. There were sudden energy traps, and mechanical guards set up by the mysterious organization. But Yi Shang and others relied on their strong will and outstanding combat skills to turn danger into safety time and time again.

Finally, they arrived at the location of the mysterious organization’s headquarters. It was a huge underground building, surrounded by various defense facilities. Yi Shang observed the surrounding environment and formulated a detailed attack plan.

They first managed to bypass some of the defense facilities and quietly sneaked into the interior of the underground building. The interior of the building was dimly lit, filled with a gloomy atmosphere. Yi Shang and others proceeded cautiously, constantly being alert to the surrounding movements.

Suddenly, a group of men in black rushed out from all directions and surrounded Yi Shang and others. “You’re finally here. Today is your death date!” A voice came from the darkness. Yi Shang looked up and saw a person wearing a long black robe slowly walking out. He was the leader of the mysterious organization.

“Your conspiracy won’t succeed!” Yi Shang said loudly. The leader sneered, “Just you? Do you think you can easily destroy our organization?” After speaking, he waved his hand, and the men in black launched an attack on Yi Shang and others.

Yi Shang, Jiang Wan’yuan, Lin Jichuan, and Zhang Yao quickly stood back to back and engaged in a fierce battle with the men in black. Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan cooperated tacitly. Yi Shang was responsible for attacking the enemies in front, and Jiang Wan’yuan provided support and cover for her from behind. Lin Jichuan and Zhang Yao also used their respective strengths to engage in a desperate fight with the men in black.

In the battle, Yi Shang discovered that the leader of the mysterious organization seemed to be controlling a powerful energy weapon, which made the men in black even more difficult to deal with. Yi Shang decided to deal with the leader first. She seized the opportunity to break through the encirclement of the men in black and rushed towards the leader.

Seeing this, the leader picked up the weapon in his hand and engaged in a duel with Yi Shang. Yi Shang was agile, and the energy sword in her hand danced impenetrably. Although the leader was also very strong, he gradually fell into a disadvantage under Yi Shang’s fierce attack.

Just as Yi Shang was preparing to give the leader a fatal blow, the leader suddenly activated the self-destruct program of the energy weapon. “Since I can’t live, don’t even think about it!” the leader shouted frantically. Yi Shang was shocked. She quickly turned around and ran towards Jiang Wan’yuan and others.

“Everyone run! The weapon is going to explode!” Yi Shang shouted loudly. Hearing the shout, Jiang Wan’yuan, Lin Jichuan, and Zhang Yao immediately followed Yi Shang and ran towards the exit. Just as they had just run out of the underground building, a loud noise came from behind them. The entire underground building was destroyed by the powerful energy explosion.

Yi Shang and others looked at the ruins behind them, feeling emotional. They had successfully destroyed the mysterious organization and lifted the crisis facing the universe. Jiang Wan’yuan walked up to Yi Shang and held her hand tightly, “Yi Shang, thanks to you this time. We can finally be together.”

Yi Shang looked at Jiang Wan’yuan with a smile, “Yes, we will never be separated again in the future.” Lin Jichuan and Zhang Yao looked at them from the side, also showing a gratified smile.

After returning to Linxi, Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan’s relationship deepened. Yi Shang continued to serve as the principal, devoting herself to the development of the academy and the advancement of scientific research. Jiang Wan’yuan continued to work as a teacher in the academy, imparting her knowledge and experience to more students.
