OVTTGTBE Chapter 35

Script Murder
Liu Yucheng passed another note over: The things inside, you won’t refuse.
Bai Yao threw the note back again.
Things I won’t refuse? What could it be, a cup of peach milk?
What a pity, he had just decided not to fuss about this delicious drink today, and he had a cup at noon, so he didn’t want to drink it now.
Guessing that Bai Yao probably wouldn’t want to look at the note again, Liu Yucheng picked up a pen and carefully drew a pattern in his notebook, then pushed the notebook in front of Bai Yao.
Bai Yao glanced at it and impatiently pushed his notebook back.
What the heck is drawn on it, not square and not straight, and there are some strange patterns on it, a handkerchief?
While complaining like this in his heart, Bai Yao took advantage of Teaching Assistant Xu turning around, and while holding the table with one hand, he bent down and opened the cabinet.
A fluffy, chubby orange face stared at Bai Yao with a non-smiling expression.
“Holy crap!”
Isn’t this the famous chubby orange cat in the school—Senior?
Bai Yao was shocked and subconsciously closed the cabinet door. After thinking about it carefully, he felt that it wouldn’t work, so he quickly opened the cabinet door to let Senior out.
“Why did you lock Senior in the cabinet??” he asked, lowering his voice.
Liu Yucheng: “?”
Liu Yucheng: “What Senior?”
He bent down in confusion, stretching his head towards the cabinet.
The orange cat he had fed at noon was now squatting in the cabinet next to Bai Yao for some reason.
The cabinet door was open, and it didn’t intend to come out, not to mention that the things Liu Yucheng had prepared for Bai Yao were just sitting under its butt.
“What if the experimental equipment hurts Senior?”
Bai Yao squatted directly on the ground, wanting to hug it out first; but he was afraid that Senior would scratch randomly, so he really didn’t know how to start for a while.
He then noticed that there seemed to be a file bag under Senior’s butt.
Is that it? Is this the gift Liu Yucheng was talking about?
“I don’t know when it ran in. It was still at the entrance of the school’s printing shop at noon.”
Liu Yucheng also squatted down and patted Bai Yao on the shoulder, “It sometimes bites people, let me do it.”
As soon as Teaching Assistant Xu finished explaining the previous knowledge point, he turned around and found that the two people in the third row had actually hid under the table.
Not knowing what kind of trouble they were going to make, this class had already been interrupted once, and Teaching Assistant Xu was in a bad mood now.
Why are the students of this class so difficult to teach!
He rolled the lesson plan in his hand into a paper tube, and slammed the podium angrily:
“Bai Yao!! Liu Yucheng! What are you two doing?! Are you still attending the class??”
Two heads slowly emerged from behind the experimental table in the third row.
Li Jinyang turned his head to look at the two of them. He knew that these two people wouldn’t stay put, but he really couldn’t figure out what they were doing under the table.
“No, teacher, listen to my explanation…”
Bai Yao was halfway through his sentence when Teaching Assistant Xu interrupted him directly: “Disrupting the class, either you two don’t attend my class directly, or go to the back of the classroom and stand as punishment, until halfway through the class.”
Liu Yucheng: “…”
Bai Yao: “…”
What a disaster.
“The others can start doing the experiment, line up to get the sample from me.”
The two walked to the back of the classroom and stood against the wall in a dispirited manner. Bai Yao originally wanted to be far away from him, but Liu Yucheng was very cunning and stood right in the middle of the back row of the classroom.
No matter where Bai Yao stood, the distance between the two would only be a few meters.
The cat that had been nestling in the cabinet climbed out unhurriedly at this time. After stretching, it slowly passed through the other students and walked to Liu Yucheng at the back of the classroom.
There are many resident Seniors in the school, and it is not uncommon for them to sneak into the classroom to inspect the situation of the juniors and sisters in this university. Some people will reach out and touch it when it passes by, others like to take pictures of it with their mobile phones, or take the opportunity to touch its fluffy little bell.
Bai Yao lowered his eyes and looked at the orange cat, which rubbed against the hem of Liu Yucheng’s pants a few times, and then spread its belly in front of him and lay on the ground.
“Liu Yucheng, can you even resist not touching it?” The girl in the second-to-last row took a picture of Senior with her mobile phone and said with a smile.
Liu Yucheng glanced at Bai Yao thoughtfully.
A few minutes later.
“Slap!!”
A heart-stopping slap came from the classroom.
Most people stopped what they were doing and turned to look at the two people standing as punishment at the back of the classroom.
Bai Yao had a stern face, his hands behind his back, and his posture for standing as punishment was correct; but he didn’t know when he had moved to the position of the back door of the classroom, and he would be out if he moved one more step.
Liu Yucheng stood not far from him, with his eyes downcast, one hand covering his face, and a red mark could still be vaguely seen through his fingers.
Teaching Assistant Xu sighed, shook his head and continued to correct the homework in his hand.
He had actually seen it just now. Liu Yucheng secretly wanted to grab Bai Yao’s hand, but Bai Yao kept dodging towards the door. With one slap, Liu Yucheng was honest.
Bai Yao gave the two bodyguards who were ready to rush in outside the classroom a look—you don’t need to come in, it’s okay.
Liu Yucheng’s courage is getting bigger and bigger, and now he dares to harass himself in public.
Bai Yao suddenly missed the Liu Yucheng who always followed behind him and dodged when he touched his hand outside.
Although disappointing, that pure feeling was quite interesting; looking at him now, this person has been slapped and his mouth is still upturned, Bai Yao doesn’t understand what he is happy about.
As soon as the punishment time was up, Bai Yao returned to his seat and began to prepare to do the experiment.
Because he started later than the others, the other groups in the classroom had left, and Bai Yao and Liu Yucheng’s lab reports were not finished yet.
What a double disaster.
“I still remember, the last time you beat me until my nose bled.”
Teaching Assistant Xu was sitting on the podium correcting the lab report, Liu Yucheng said in a low voice, “But this time, you only slapped me. You hit me much lighter than before.”
Bai Yao: “?”
Bai Yao: “Do you want to wait until my injury is healed before trying again?”
Liu Yucheng stopped the pen in his hand and turned to look at Bai Yao: “Then… how is your injury recovering?”
It’s endless to talk to him like this.
Bai Yao closed the pen cap, went directly to hand in the lab report, picked up his bag and left without saying a word.
After walking less than a hundred meters in a dashing pace, Bai Yao remembered that the file bag in the cabinet had not been taken.
So, what exactly is in it?
“Is there something you forgot? Do you want me to help you get it?”
Seeing that he had stopped, one of the bodyguards asked very discerningly.
“…”
“Then I’ll go, Sister, take care of the young master.”
She quickly ran back to the previous laboratory and found that the thin and tall boy seemed to have guessed in advance that someone would come back, and was waiting at the door with his arms folded, holding a file bag in his hand.
Back in the car, Bai Yao roughly untied the rope on the bag.
The file bag contained Liu Angran’s information and a handwritten letter folded several times.
No wonder Liu Yucheng said he wouldn’t refuse.
He glanced at it roughly, put the letter back in the file bag, and carefully read Liu Angran’s personal information.
“Young Master, what is written in the letter?”
“I didn’t look closely, Liu Yucheng wrote it, I’m afraid it will burn my eyes.”
Bai Yao said, “This information is very detailed, and even provides 17 locations where Liu Angran often appears… But let’s wait until I’m fully recovered.”
After this lab class, Bai Yao’s life briefly returned to the tranquility of his freshman year. In large classes, Liu Yucheng didn’t harass him anymore. Bai Yao still sat with Zhang Yifang and Tao Lin, and Yan Hao would sometimes join them for lunch and chat with them about recent games.
On the other hand, Li Jinyang’s relationship with Xia Zhixi after that day seemed to have soared on a rocket. The two have reached the point where they accompany each other to class and eat lunch together, but they don’t seem to be together yet.
Tao Lin came up with an idea for him: Didn’t she say she wanted to play script murder? This Friday, we just happen to be staying at Brother Yao’s house, so take her to play!
So, they asked Xia Zhixi to choose a script she liked, and on Friday, they teamed up and carpooled to play the script.
…
On Friday evening, Liu Yucheng was working part-time at a newly found store. Because he had been living outside for a while, his money was indeed not enough.
The new bosses are a couple, not very easy to talk to, but the scripts they choose have a unique vision, so this store’s business is still pretty good.
“Little Liu, a group of guests will be coming soon, and they specifically want to play this 12-player script. They are carpooling in two groups, you go take them.”
The boss handed the registered guest list and the roles they each chose to Liu Yucheng, “They will be here later, I will take them to the waiting room first. Hurry up and go to the back to change your clothes.”
Liu Yucheng took the list and saw Bai Yao’s name at a glance.
In addition, Zhang Yifang, Tao Lin and the others are all coming. Even if this script starts now, it is estimated that it will not end until midnight. It seems that they are not planning to go home this weekend.
“Horror script?” he couldn’t help asking.
“Yes, this script is cheaper for carpooling and does not involve sensitive rituals.”
After hesitating for a long time, Liu Yucheng still nodded.
…
Bai Yao had played script murder a few times before, but he generally refused horror scripts. On the one hand, he is particular about some rituals, and on the other hand… he doesn’t like the atmosphere of horror scripts.
But, judging from the situation of Li Jinyang and Xia Zhixi, these two seem to be just one step away from success.
For the sake of his brother’s life event, Bai Yao went all out and lined up, following the others into the dark room with only electronic candlesticks, and sat down at the long table in the middle that looked like a coffin.
The two bodyguards originally wanted to protect Bai Yao through the store’s surveillance, but for the sake of face, Bai Yao refused to let them follow, and just asked them to stand by nearby and call if anything happened.
“Ding ding.”
After the door of the room was closed, the crisp sound of a bell coming from another direction attracted everyone’s attention.
The door hidden in the darkness was opened at some point, and a person wearing a ghost face mask and a white robe walked step by step to the front of the table.
According to the introduction of the person who came in before, this person should be the DM of this script murder.
He held a long old-fashioned pipe in his left hand and a string of bells in his right hand, and walked to the front of the table.
“Wow, this DM is so tall.”
“His hands are also good-looking, the type I like.”
The two girls sitting opposite Bai Yao whispered, “I wonder what he looks like in real life after the game is over.”
“Hello, please don’t make loud noises.”
He slowly placed the string of bells on the table, and took off one of the bells and handed it to Bai Yao, who was closest to him and sitting on the outermost side of the table.
Bai Yao was a little confused, but he still took the bell.
The DM supported the table with both hands and said in a low voice: “One bell per person, to be worn on the ankle. No matter what happens, even if you are being chased, never drop it.”
These words generally imply some game rules, so Bai Yao immediately tied it obediently to his ankle, and even tied a knot to prevent any terrifying situation from happening later.
But… why does this DM’s voice sound so familiar?
He raised his head and observed the expressions of Li Jinyang and the others. They were distributing the bells and didn’t seem to be anything wrong.
He must be overthinking it.
