    Chapter 18 E-sports 18 “He’s in my bed.”

The situation on the field changed rapidly, and SYR’s storm-like offensive made it hard for Lu Mo-chen and his team to breathe.

He could only watch helplessly as the defensive towers in the game decreased one by one, and finally the crystal, but he was powerless to do anything about it.

This was also the first time Lu Mo-chen realized that between him and the championship, there seemed to be a bottomless chasm, a feeling he had never had when facing the TY team before.

Is this the strength of a champion?

The teammates next to him were also silent. They had all played against the SYR team to varying degrees before, so they naturally knew their strength. They might have thought they would lose, but as long as there was still hope of winning, they would never give up easily. No one wanted to lose, but they never expected the ending to be so miserable.

The only good news was that the MU team ultimately successfully entered the QWE playoffs with 6 points.

The playoff format is different from the regular season. First of all, each match is a bo7, with the winner advancing and the loser leaving directly.

Of course, the interval between each game will also be longer.

However, after the regular season, there will be an extra week of complete free time.

Therefore, after returning, the MU team unanimously gave themselves extra training.

Chu Li-fei also formulated different training methods according to each person’s different situation.

Of course, the most diligent of them all was Lu Mo-chen. He arrived the earliest and left the latest every day.

Later, Chu Li-fei simply accompanied him, pointing out his shortcomings. The two of them would sometimes play a few solo or duo games, and finally return to the apartment together.

This day, because the official announcement of a new batch of hero and equipment adjustments in the morning, Chu Li-fei and Lu Mo-chen trained so hard to familiarize themselves with the feel that they forgot the time.

Chu Li-fei couldn’t resist the drowsiness first, and glanced at the time in the navigation bar of his phone, only to realize that it was already half past twelve.

But when the two hurriedly packed up and left the training room, they found that it was raining outside.

The heavy rain poured down, hitting the club’s glass and making a loud noise. Rainwater slid down the outer edge of the roof, forming streams of water curtains.

Looking out through the club’s glass, the neon lights on the distant buildings had turned into colorful blocks, as if falling into a hazy world. Occasionally, a few cars speeding by on the road brought up large swathes of water.

They were in trouble for a while. Because of the close relationship between the apartment and the club, they usually didn’t have the habit of checking the weather forecast. In the end, Chu Li-fei found a small folding umbrella that no one wanted from the storage room.

It was probably because it had been stored for too long, this umbrella looked tattered, and several ribs were bent, as if it would be completely broken by a gust of wind.

But there was no other way now.

The weather forecast on the phone showed that the rain would not stop for a while, and they couldn’t possibly stay at the club overnight again, right?

In short, having an umbrella was better than nothing.

Chu Li-fei opened the umbrella, shook it in his hand, and after seeing that it didn’t fall apart, he called Lu Mo-chen over.

“Stay close to me later, let’s go back quickly.”

Lu Mo-chen glanced at the rain outside and nodded obediently, walking to Lu Mo-chen’s side.

As soon as they opened the door, the originally muffled sound of rain instantly became clear, and the rain also floated under the umbrella with the strong wind. The small umbrella couldn’t completely cover the two of them, and soon, the bottoms of their pants were soaked.

The weather in April wasn’t warm yet, and now it was raining again. The rain quickly soaked their clothes, sticking to their bodies damply and uncomfortably, and the wet and cold feeling kept drilling into their bodies. The two could only lean close together, drawing heat from each other.

They trotted all the way back to the apartment.

Closing the door, Chu Li-fei and Lu Mo-chen felt alive again.

It was just that their condition didn’t look very good.

Their pants were wet all the way from the bottom to the thighs, half of their shoulders were also soaked, and water was dripping from their hair.

Lu Mo-chen couldn’t help but sneeze.

Chu Li-fei cast a worried look at him, took the towel prepared in the entrance and handed it to him: “Wipe your hair, take a hot shower later and go to bed early, we’ll be busy tomorrow.”

Lu Mo-chen wiped the wet hair on his forehead and replied with a bit of a nasal voice, “Okay.”

    Then the two went upstairs.

Chu Li-fei took out the key from his pocket and turned the lock, intending to go in, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw Lu Mo-chen standing motionless at the door.

    “What’s wrong?” he asked.

He saw Lu Mo-chen’s expression change, as if he was looking for something.

He first touched himself all over, but he didn’t seem to find what he was looking for.

He was stunned in disbelief, as if petrified.

Then he touched himself a second time, not giving up, turning out all the big and small pockets on his body. But he still couldn’t find what he was looking for.

He stood there awkwardly, at a loss. Finally, he weakly said:

“My key… I think I left it at the club.”

Chu Li-fei sighed helplessly. It was raining so hard, he couldn’t let Lu Mo-chen run back and forth to the club again.

Then there was only one way left…

Chu Li-fei twisted open his door: “Forget it, come in with me.”

Lu Mo-chen followed Chu Li-fei with an embarrassed expression.

This was the first time he had entered Chu Li-fei’s room. He had only seen it from afar before.

The basic layout of the room was not much different from his own. The quilt was turned open at a corner, as if it still maintained the appearance of its owner just getting up in the morning. On the table facing the bed, the laptop was still open, but it seemed to have been forcibly shut down because it ran out of power. There were two coats draped over the chair.

Just then, Chu Li-fei’s voice came from the closet: “Sorry, the room is a bit messy. This set of clothes has been washed before, take it first. I remember there are unused towels in the bathroom, they should be in the cabinet, you can see it as soon as you open it.”

After Chu Li-fei finished speaking, he stood up and stuffed all the clothes and other things into Lu Mo-chen’s hands: “I’ll go downstairs to boil some hot water, remember to drink a cup later.”

    “Okay,” Lu Mo-chen said softly.

He didn’t go directly to the bathroom, but stood motionless, watching Chu Li-fei’s back disappear outside the door. He lowered his eyes, his gaze fell on the set of clothes in his hands, and he couldn’t help but clench them tightly. His Adam’s apple moved, and his hands were still trembling slightly, as if he hadn’t prepared for what was about to happen. He took a deep breath before carefully putting the clothes under his nose, his eyes filled with infatuated expression.

A flush unconsciously rose to his cheeks, he hugged the clothes tightly before entering the bathroom.

When he finished washing, Chu Li-fei happened to push the door open with a cup of hot ginger tea.

Seeing Lu Mo-chen come out, Chu Li-fei naturally handed the cup to him, took a piece of clothing from the closet and entered the bathroom.

Lu Mo-chen sat on the edge of the bed with the cup in a daze. The water vapor in the bathroom floated out through the crack in the door, and the sound of the shower kept drilling into his ears. He drank the water cup by cup with a red face, and the water in the cup soon bottomed out, but Lu Mo-chen still felt a little thirsty.

Fortunately, Chu Li-fei came out of the bathroom soon. Lu Mo-chen looked up in his direction, and the blush that had almost disappeared rose again. He quickly subconsciously wanted to take a sip of water to relieve himself, but when he brought it to his mouth, he remembered that the water was already gone.

He saw Chu Li-fei wearing pajamas. He didn’t know if it was because he was in a hurry to get out of the bathroom or because he didn’t see clearly, all the buttons were buttoned wrong. This caused a large area to be directly exposed at his neckline, and his jade-like collarbone was looming. The slightly long ends of his hair didn’t have time to dry, and water droplets slid down his hair, leaving a dark water stain on his clothes.

Chu Li-fei didn’t notice Lu Mo-chen’s strangeness. He picked up the hair dryer on the side and turned around, looking at Lu Mo-chen with some doubts.

    “Why aren’t you asleep yet?”

“I couldn’t find an extra cushion in the room, and I’m embarrassed to rummage through your closet.”

“Ah? It’s okay, just sleep on my bed, remember to leave some space for me.” Chu Li-fei turned on the hair dryer, but saw that Lu Mo-chen still didn’t move, as if he was waiting for him.

His voice seemed a little blurry in the noise of the hair dryer: “Go to sleep first. I’ll come over after I’m done drying my hair.”

Lu Mo-chen got into bed obediently.

The bed was placed against the wall. Lu Mo-chen was lying on his side, his whole body almost touching the wall. He faced the snow-white wall, holding the quilt in front of his chest, and closed his eyes.

But the complicated thoughts in his mind made him toss and turn and never fall asleep peacefully.

However, he waited for Chu Li-fei.

Lu Mo-chen felt the bed behind him sink, and someone lay down.

Chu Li-fei’s faint cold fragrance mixed with the scent of shampoo drilled into his nose.

Lu Mo-chen subconsciously shrugged his nose.

His body now had the same scent as Chu Li-fei.

    “Sleep.”

A nice voice sounded by his ear.

Lu Mo-chen seemed to be instantly comforted, and all the inexplicable thoughts in his mind disappeared. Sleepiness gradually enveloped the two, and Lu Mo-chen gradually fell asleep listening to the seemingly smaller sound of rain outside the window.

    The next day.

Chu Li-fei heard someone knocking on his door.

Because he went to bed late last night, he rubbed his eyes before regaining consciousness, and reluctantly got out of bed.

Just as he was about to get up, he felt as if something was pressing on his left arm.

Chu Li-fei turned his head and met Lu Mo-chen’s sleeping face. The two who were originally sleeping back to back, didn’t know what happened during the night, but Lu Mo-chen was now resting his entire head on Chu Li-fei’s arm, looking like he was using it as a pillow.

The two were extremely close, so close that Chu Li-fei could see the tiny fluff on Lu Mo-chen’s face.

His thoughts returned, and he remembered what happened last night.

He carefully pulled out his arm, and after seeing that Lu Mo-chen hadn’t been awakened, he put on his slippers and went to open the door.

Standing outside the door was Wang Jian-guo.

As soon as Wang Jian-guo saw him open the door, he couldn’t wait to say: “Do you know where Lu Mo-chen was last night? Don’t we have to go to the league earlier today to shoot promotional videos, now he’s the only one missing.”

“But I’ve been knocking on Lu Mo-chen’s door just now, and no one answered for a long time. Then I turned the door and found that the door was still locked. When I called him, it kept showing that the phone was turned off and no one answered. Could something have happened?”

Chu Li-fei inside the door had just gotten up and heard Wang Jian-guo say a long paragraph, his mind was still dazed.

He yawned and blurted out: “Lu Mo-chen? He’s in my bed.”
