    Chapter 29

Sui Chunsheng’s eyes were already consumed by the flames within his body as he leaned down to kiss him.

Tan Zhui struggled hastily, but discovered that while he was conscious, his entire body ached and he was weak, unable to break free from the youth’s hold.

The room was dim, his vision blurry, and he could not see clearly.

In the darkness, he could only cling tightly to the other’s body.

Tan Zhui’s eyes were hazy with tears, and he bit his tongue to try and stay alert, constantly muttering, “No, no…”

Sui Chunsheng chuckled softly and asked, “Master, no what?”

Tan Zhui, stirred by the youth, quickly said, “Impudence!”

    “Such absurdity is unacceptable!”

Sui Chunsheng pressed him against the window, which rattled violently as if it were about to shatter and collapse at any moment.

Tan Zhui bit his lip hard, refusing to make a sound.

    This was his last stand.

The youth’s lips touched his ear, his hot breath escaping, “Master, you and I, we should be this absurd, this decadent.”

At this moment, his beloved disciple had become a wicked one.

Tan Zhui’s pale hands pushed against him desperately, yet they could not stop the already crazed disciple.

“Master, my heart is clear, Master, forgive your disciple.”

By noon the next day, the White Deer Immortal, who had been tormented all night, slowly opened his eyes.

His entire body was in dull pain, and he couldn’t even get up.

He recalled the events of the previous night, and his face instantly turned ashen.

Tan Zhui subconsciously searched for the wicked disciple’s figure, but discovered that among the mess, only he himself was present.

Just as his tense nerves began to relax, he saw someone walk in.

Only then did he notice that the door was inexplicably open.

Yue Shanglan poked his head in, but when he met Tan Zhui’s murderous gaze, he immediately shrank back.

Tan Zhui said coldly, “Get in here.”

Yue Shanglan, who had half-escaped, hesitantly rolled back inside.

Tan Zhui had just casually used magic to clothe himself, but Yue Shanglan was still frightened by his appearance when he came in.

His lips were covered in dried blood, his neck was a mess of bites, and even his wrists were marked with the purplish-blue traces of being restrained.

His bed was in an even more chaotic state.

A thick atmosphere of passion lingered in the room.

Traces of glistening moisture were scattered on the window, the table, the bedding, and the wardrobe.

Yue Shanglan stared blankly, “Hua Zhi, that beast! He’s acting like an animal!”

Tan Zhui frowned and glared at him, “What did you say?”

Yue Shanglan, realizing he had blurted out his thoughts, turned pale.

Tan Zhui’s voice was cold, “You better explain yourself clearly.”

Yue Shanglan couldn’t help but shiver, but seeing the White Deer Immortal take out the Long Hate Whip, he feared that his life would end in an instant.

The desire to live made him immediately open his mouth, “Ah Zhui, I’m sorry! It was me who had Hua Zhi drug you so that your souls could intertwine, and after you had a physical relationship, your eyes could be switched…”

“It’s come to this, there is no turning back. It’s already like this, we can only wait for the soul-intertwining in a month’s time to switch your eyes!”

Fearing that the White Deer Immortal would whip him to death halfway through his explanation, he quickly spewed out these words in one breath, not daring to pause.

After Yue Shanglan finished speaking, he began to breathe roughly, still remembering to look up and secretly gauge the White Deer Immortal’s expression.

Tan Zhui’s hand gripping the Long Hate Whip creaked, and he almost crushed his back molars before restraining himself from whipping his best friend to death.

Tan Zhui calmed down, “Are you sure it was Hua Zhi?”

Yue Shanglan was startled for a moment, then his tense nerves relaxed.

“Of course! I didn’t ask anyone else!”

Yue Shanglan observed Tan Zhui’s expression, and tentatively said, “Did you see someone else?”

    Tan Zhui remained noncommittal.

    Yue Shanglan said, “That’s normal.”

Tan Zhui raised an eyebrow, “?”

Yue Shanglan hurriedly explained, “The drug I used was obtained from the Joyous Union Sect. This love grass is colorless and odorless, its scent is concealed, and even an ancient divine lord like you wouldn’t notice it. It cost me a lot of spirit stones…”

Tan Zhui gritted his teeth, the Long Hate Whip trembling, “Get to the point.”

Yue Shanglan: “And after taking the love grass, when you are moved by passion, you will see the person you love!”

Tan Zhui: “What do you mean?”

Yue Shanglan: “It’s to achieve a completely enamored effect, it will make your mind confused. No matter who appears in front of you, they will turn into the person you love in your heart!”

Tan Zhui lowered his eyes, and murmured, “So that’s how it is… So that’s how it is…”

So that’s why he had seen Hibiscus.

    So that’s how it is.

So all of this was just an illusion of his own during his emotional turmoil.

    How disgusting he was!

To be so lustful towards his own disciple!

Tan Zhui’s back molars ground against each other, and he abruptly lashed out the Long Hate Whip.

Yue Shanglan was so frightened that he shivered, not daring to move.

The golden whip brushed past him, splitting the table behind him in half.

Yue Shanglan cried out in shock, “Ah Zhui! I made the decision without consulting you first!”

    He immediately softened his tone.

“But this is the best method at hand. Ah Zhui, I hope you live, live well. Don’t worry, this is just a transaction between me and Hua Zhi. Besides, you and Hua Zhi already have a marriage contract, this matter is most suitable for him to do…”

As he spoke, he continued to observe the White Deer Immortal’s expression, eventually finding that he seemed to be in deep thought. He tentatively opened his mouth, “Are you perhaps, thinking of Little Chunsheng… I know you well. Even if you truly had fallen in love with Little Chunsheng, you would never have crossed that line.”

Tan Zhui said coldly, “Shut up.”

    “Don’t mention Hibiscus.”

Another golden light slashed out from the Moonlight Immortal’s side, and a crack appeared in the floor.

Yue Shanglan immediately closed his mouth.

Hua Zhi leaned forward, picked up the peppermint fragrance from the side, placed it under the youth’s nose, and lightly waved his hand to create a breeze.

The youth frowned, his eyelids trembled, and he slowly opened his eyes.

His head was splitting with pain, and the peppermint fragrance choked him, making him cough violently.

When he finally regained his senses, he realized that he seemed to be in an unfamiliar place.

Sui Chunsheng immediately scanned his surroundings warily, and then saw Hua Zhi sitting not far away.

Hua Zhi smiled slightly when he saw that he had woken up.

    Sui Chunsheng’s eyes darkened, “You.”

“Why did you appear here? Why am I here?”

The youth couldn’t force a single fake smile on his face, and his tone turned cold.

Hua Zhi chuckled, his voice still gentle, “Little Immortal Hibiscus, it seems that you’re not in the mood to play the pure and innocent act now.”

Sui Chunsheng gritted his teeth, “I advise you to speak quickly, I have no patience.”

The youth’s pupils contracted, strangely dark.

A trail of frost flashed not far away, and the Tansue Sword followed, neatly placed against Hua Zhi’s neck.

    “Speak.”

The Tansue Sword moved forward, probing in the air.

Hua Zhi’s smile didn’t lessen, and his expression didn’t change, seeming not to be afraid.

“You should already have guessed most of it, why you and the divine lord were both drugged.”

Sui Chunsheng: “That bowl of jade dew soup.”

Hua Zhi chuckled softly, “You’re not stupid after all.”

Sui Chunsheng: “What do you want?”

Hua Zhi: “This matter is not what I desired, but I have to do it now, and you just happened to be a fool, seeking your own death.”

Hua Zhi’s voice was still gentle, but carried a flippant tone.

Now, both of them were in no mood to continue the pretense, and revealed their true faces.

Hua Zhi slowly explained the whole story.

He observed the youth’s expression, and continued, “I want you to switch eyes for me.”

Sui Chunsheng looked up at him.

Hua Zhi chuckled softly, “You don’t need to feel wronged. If you have to blame someone, blame yourself for having wicked thoughts about your master. Having made such a mistake, you have now intertwined your souls for me, and you can’t escape.”

“You wouldn’t want your good master to die because his eyes don’t match mine, right?”

“Now, in his sea of consciousness, what remains, is your aura…”

Hua Zhi, seeing that he was still silent, added, “Don’t worry, Yue Shanglan will give you a pair of Xuan Feng’s eyes, enough for you to live on.”

Sui Chunsheng said, “I can do it myself, and I don’t need you.”

“But you, are insincere, you are not worthy of my master.”

Hua Zhi couldn’t help but widen his eyes, as if he had heard something ridiculous.

“This matter, you know it, I know it, heaven knows it, earth knows it. If others knew, your master’s reputation would be…”

The Tansue Sword suddenly moved forward, and Hua Zhi’s words were blocked.

“If that’s the case, then once this matter is settled, you had better go and cancel the engagement yourself, otherwise I won’t give you a good ending.”

Having said that, Sui Chunsheng quickly left the room.

The Tansue Sword in mid-air suddenly shot forward, and Hua Zhi immediately dodged to the side, but the piercing chill still grazed his neck, directly piercing the wall and flying out.

His neck was in excruciating pain. The wound was frozen by the chill, the coldness invading his flesh, yet it burned like fire.

Hua Zhi clutched his neck and looked at the cracks in the wall.

The next second, the residence on Zi Wei Peak collapsed with a loud crash.

Sui Chunsheng staggered out of Zi Wei Peak. He felt the familiar dull pain coming from his body, and his soul was unstable.

The youth struggled. He wanted to see his master, he wanted to see how his master was now, but just as he reached the door of the Water Residence, he could no longer support himself and fell to the ground.

Wugen, who was feeding the carp by the Xie Water Pool, saw him and was happy. However, the youth fell to the ground, curling up in a ball, looking very painful.

Wugen hurriedly dropped the feed and quickly went forward to help him up.

When he touched the youth, he was frightened, and he immediately shouted.

The White Deer Immortal, who was inside the house, heard the commotion and subconsciously wanted to rush out to check, but as soon as he stood up, his legs buckled and he almost fell.

Yue Shanglan, with quick eyes and hands, pulled him up, “Ah Zhui, you…”

“Damn it, Hua Zhi, that beast.”

Tan Zhui glanced at him, “Go see what’s wrong with Hibiscus, Wugen is calling.”

Yue Shanglan supported him as he walked out of the house, and saw the youth struggling painfully by the stone wall in front of the Water Residence. Black qi was gushing out of his chest, swirling around him.

Tan Zhui’s expression changed, and ignoring his own physical discomfort, he rushed forward, using his spiritual power to calm his beloved disciple and steady his mind.

Only then did the White Deer Immortal notice that the Shou Liu small armor was not on the youth. He said to Wugen, “Go to Duan Xiao Peak and fetch the Shou Liu small armor.”

Wugen nodded quickly, just about to run off.

Yue Shanglan said, “This small armor is here.”

As he spoke, he quickly handed him the small armor.

Tan Zhui raised an eyebrow, “How is it with you?”

Yue Shanglan, “This was found just now in your room.”

The White Deer Immortal was momentarily dazed. How could this close-fitting armor be here?

Tan Zhui realized what he was thinking and almost immediately shook his head, scolding himself for not letting his imagination run wild.

The White Deer Immortal put the small armor on the youth, used his magic to tidy up his clothes, and continued to use his spiritual power to soothe the black qi that was running wild.

Sui Chunsheng opened his eyes and grabbed the White Deer Immortal’s sleeve.

    “Master…”

The youth lay in his arms, and in a daze, he even parted his lips slightly, and slowly leaned closer.
