Chapter 9 Werewolf Male Supporting Character

Song Xiao was wary of Yan Ye, while Yan Ye concealed the longing for human blood in his eyes and strode into the ruined building.

The ruined building was empty, Chen Ran was nowhere to be seen.

Song Xiao followed him in, his heart pounding when he found the person who had been sleeping was gone. “Where is he?”

He had brought Chen Ran back and left him here, why was he gone?

Yan Ye turned and coldly glanced at him, then walked outside without a word.

Song Xiao dug his fingernails into the flesh of his fingers, pursed his lips, and followed him out.

Now Chen Ran’s condition was unstable, seemingly human yet like a vampire, the most pressing matter was to find him.

“Wait for me.” Song Xiao said anxiously, running too fast, blood appeared again in his abdomen.

Yan Ye stopped and waited for him, and as the person approached, he lifted him by his clothes with one hand.

Song Xiao wanted to curse at him, but facing a pair of emotionless eyes, he angrily closed his mouth.

As Chen Ran staggered to his doorstep, a dark figure brushed past him. He smelled a strong scent of blood and looked back in the direction the figure had gone.

Just then, the dark figure also looked back at him, revealing a bizarre smile on a blood-stained face.

“What a pity, you are also a vampire.”

Chen Ran’s body trembled slightly at these words. The dark figure raised a hand to wipe the blood from his lips and let out two sinister laughs before leaving.

The dark figure’s retreating back was hurried, as if fleeing.

A cool breeze swept across his face. Chen Ran clutched his chest, his face full of pain. How could he be a vampire? How could he…

As he walked staggering into the corridor of the building where they lived, the blood in his body felt as if it had been drained, his face deathly pale, a stark contrast to the still-wet blood on the ground.

“Nan Ni, Nan Ni…” Chen Ran murmured, his legs weakened, almost kneeling down.

He staggered towards the woman lying in a pool of blood, stretched out a trembling hand, and carefully helped up the breathless woman, fearfully placing a finger under her nose. Finally, his throat made a choked sound.

“Nan Ni, wake up,How… Nan Ni.” Chen Ran hugged the woman tightly, his eyes bloodshot.

The sound of the night wind covered up footsteps, but it could not conceal the man’s painful sobs.

Nan Ni heard a familiar voice, it was Chen Ran returning. Full of anticipation, she turned and ran towards the source of the voice.

“Ah Ran, you finally…” Before the words fell, the joy on Nan Ni’s face froze, her pupils constricted, her joyful pace stopped, and her body trembled uncontrollably. She dragged her heavy steps towards the man who was facing away from her.

The closer she got to the man, the more violently Nan Ni’s shoulders shook. She could almost recognize whose back it was.

Nan Ni covered her mouth with her palm, her eyes were moist, tears flowed from her eyes.

Just then, the moonlight cast a shadow on the wall. Chen Ran belatedly realized someone had come up behind him.

His gaze slowly moved away from the shadow on the ground. He turned to look at his lover who had appeared at some point, his body stiffened. He wanted to raise his hand to wipe the blood from his lips, but when he met Nan Ni’s heartbroken eyes, he did not have the courage to lift his hand.

“Ah…” A scream pierced the night sky. Nan Ni cried out in collapse, her body swaying, looking at the man she loved with disbelief. “Chen Ran, what, what did you do to my mother?”

When the woman he loved looked at him with hatred, Chen Ran wanted to open his mouth to explain, but when he heard a series of footsteps, a hint of panic flashed in Chen Ran’s eyes. He picked up Nan Ni’s mother, lowered his gaze to conceal the reluctance in his heart, and fled alone with Nan Ni’s mother.

Nan Ni watched his retreating back, wanting to chase after him, but she couldn’t catch up with Chen Ran no matter what.

Finally, Nan Ni returned to the original spot, squatted in the pool of blood, holding her knees tightly with both hands, her eyes full of sorrow, and she kept murmuring the same sentence in her mouth, “Chen Ran is a vampire… he killed mother…”

When the members of the Hunter’s Guild arrived after hearing the scream, the vampire had already left, leaving only a woman who was mentally unstable.

“Captain, what should we do with this woman?”

Not far from where the woman was kneeling, there was still a pool of blood. Huang Hui quickly guessed who had let out that scream earlier. He looked at the woman sympathetically for three seconds. “Her family was probably killed by a vampire. Let’s take her back first.”

The Hunter’s Guild also returned empty-handed tonight.

Seven years later, the half-brother of Song Xiao, that Wolf King, died miserably in the Poison Mist Forest, and Song Xiao’s situation became even more dangerous than before.

Yan Ye played with the bat on his fingertip, resting his head on his hand, the smile in his eyes very faint.

Unexpectedly, seven years had passed in a blink of an eye. Song Xiao was still not giving up. While being chased by so many werewolves, Song Xiao still had the time to approach the female lead.

After receiving the information transmitted by the bat, Yan Ye flicked his finger, and the bat on his fingertip immediately flew out of the castle.

Seven years ago, when he and Song Xiao returned to Nan Ni’s home, they found they were both too late.

At first, he and Song Xiao waited at Nan Ni’s house for their family for three days. Later, seeing that Nan Ni and her family had not returned, Yan Ye and Song Xiao separated there.

They hadn’t seen each other for seven years after separating. In these seven years, Song Xiao had also not appeared in front of the male and female leads, but instead hid in the Poison Mist Forest to cultivate. The first thing he did after his body recovered was to release news of himself in the Poison Mist Forest to lure the Wolf King, and finally, while the opponent was off guard, he used the poison mist in the forest to kill him.

Yan Ye turned a blind eye to these things, until Song Xiao left the Poison Mist Forest. In order to prevent him from saying things he shouldn’t say and causing deeper misunderstandings for the male and female leads, Yan Ye tampered with the bat.

As the castle gates opened, before Yan Ye even walked out, he heard a woman’s voice, “Is master going out?”

Yan Ye turned his head, a scent of roses rushed towards him. The girl he had saved incidentally back then had grown up and knew how to seduce people.

“Yes, Little Anna, do you have something?” Yan Ye asked with a half-smile, his gaze sweeping over her half-exposed shoulder.

Thinking carefully, Anna had also lived in the castle for seven years, but he had only seen Anna a handful of times.

“Can I go out with master?” Anna asked expectantly, her fingers nervously rubbing together, her cheeks slightly flushed.

Yan Ye saw through her thoughts but didn’t point it out, instead asking, “Have you avenged your revenge?”

Back then, Anna’s pursuit of the tall man was unsuccessful. In the end, because the other party had sucked human blood, his strength became even stronger than Anna, who was a low-level vampire. Seeing that she couldn’t kill him, Anna could only return to the castle.

When the past was brought up, the shyness on Anna’s face faded, her eyes flickered, and she said calmly, “I want to go out with master precisely to kill that person.”

“That person is not where I am going, it’s useless for you to follow me,” Yan Ye said indifferently.

Where he was going, there were many hunters, and the tall man was a coward, so he wouldn’t dare to go to a place with so many hunters.

Hibiscus City, commonly known as the wealthy area, is also the headquarters of the Hunter’s Guild. The female lead has now joined the Hunter’s Guild and has been promoted to a small captain, and she hates vampires to the bone.

Compared to werewolves, although the female lead would also kill them, she didn’t hate them as much.

Upon hearing his words, Anna lowered her head and pondered.

She wanted revenge, but she also wanted to follow master.

The night in Hibiscus City was much livelier than in the Slums area. There were still many people at night, all thanks to the Hunter’s Guild.

Because the headquarters was here, vampires and werewolves didn’t dare to be too arrogant at night.

However, there were still one or two corpses appearing during the day.

Yan Ye passed by a tavern alley and heard a series of sticky gasps.

“Hate it, dead man, what’s the hurry?” the woman teased, and the next second her voice changed pitch, “Mm…”

Before the woman could scream the second half of her sentence, her body twitched a few times, and the hand resting on the man’s shoulder fell limply.

Yan Ye only glanced at it and withdrew his gaze, not taking this scene to heart.

Night hunting, the instinct of low-level vampires!

Continuing forward, Yan Ye brushed past a woman dressed in hunter’s attire. The woman’s steps paused for a second. She frowned, wanting to look back at something, but heard her team member’s voice and quickly turned back, “Captain, we found a vampire.”

“Let’s go.” The woman’s voice was cold, making it difficult to discern that this was the gentle Nan Ni from back then.

Yan Ye sighed inwardly. He had intended to change the fate of the female lead’s mother’s death, but he hadn’t expected that he still couldn’t change it.

A low-level vampire, Nan Ni killed the other party under her sword in just a few minutes.

She wiped the blood splattered on her face, still feeling unhappy. “Are there any reports of vampires appearing elsewhere recently?”

The team members who heard her question looked at each other and shook their heads. “No vampires, but there are reports of werewolves.”

Nan Ni was not interested in werewolf news, but still dutifully said, “Tell me.”

“Many people have died in the town near the Poison Mist Forest recently, and they all have werewolf claw marks.”

Nan Ni wiped the blood from her sword, and her ponytail swung. “We leave first thing tomorrow morning.”

The team members were stunned. “Leave? Where are we going?”

Nan Ni said without looking back, “Poison Mist Forest.”

In the brightly lit tavern, a group of drunk men were discussing their itinerary for tomorrow. One of them wiped his mouth and put down the wine glass in his hand. “Alright, alright, I won’t drink with you anymore. Tomorrow I still have to go to the Poison Mist Forest with our captain.”

“Drink a little more,” one of the burly men filled the speaker’s glass and urged.

The man hiccuped and waved his hand. “No, I’ll get drunk if I drink more. If I can’t get up tomorrow, the captain will, will be angry.”

Saying that, the man got up to leave.

He staggered for a few steps before being blocked by someone.

“Why are you afraid of that woman captain? If you ask me, you should change to someone else as captain. How strong can a woman be…”

A mocking young voice interrupted the man’s words. “Heh, not strong, yet she can beat you so badly your parents wouldn’t recognize you.”

Although the man was drunk, he wasn’t completely unconscious.

Song Xiao’s words reminded the man of his embarrassing incident a few days ago, and his face instantly flushed red as he glared angrily at Song Xiao.

“I’m talking, what are you interrupting for, you stinky kid?” The burly man took off the large saber from his waist and slammed it on the tavern table, trying to intimidate the other party with it.

Because Nan Ni was a woman, there were many people who were unhappy with her being captain. This man was one of the most dissatisfied ones.

In the end, after competing with Nan Ni, he was beaten so badly he couldn’t get up from the ground and quieted down for a while.

Now, after drinking some wine, he couldn’t recognize how capable he was again.

Song Xiao smiled at his lips, took a sip of wine, his eyes carrying a hint of contempt.

The man was angered by his dismissive attitude and strode over, raising his hand into a fist wanting to hit him.

Pfft, Song Xiao sprayed the wine he hadn’t swallowed yet onto the man’s face and took out a handkerchief to wipe the corner of his mouth.

The man was just stunned for a moment, quickly reacted, and looked even angrier. His fist, with wind, swung towards his face.

A minute passed, Song Xiao finished dealing with the man who had fallen to the ground, clapped his hands, and turned his head to see an unexpected acquaintance.
