Chapter Index
    Werewolf Male Supporting Character

The young girl blinked her innocent eyes, scanning her surroundings. It wasn’t until she saw a mirror and then herself in the mirror that fear appeared in her pupils. The memories in her mind rapidly rewound.

One minute, two minutes passed. The sound of shoes clattering outside the door reached her. Only then, as if startled awake, she retreated and sat on the bed, closing her blood-red eyes.

Yan Ye, led by a servant, came before the young girl and quietly waited for her to open her eyes.

“Am I… a vampire now?” Little Anna’s shoulders trembled, her voice choked.

Yan Ye looked down at her, his voice very light, “Yes. Didn’t you want revenge?”

After the young girl died, her soul remained in her body. As the Ghost King, Yan Ye naturally had a way to communicate with her.

When he transformed the young girl into a vampire, he had asked if she wanted revenge.

It was precisely because she wanted revenge that she easily accepted his blood and became a vampire.

After Yan Ye finished speaking, Little Anna’s sad expression froze. She remembered how she had been deceived, and her expression became filled with hatred.

Knowing that she remembered her desire for revenge, Yan Ye said gently, “There were two people who harmed you. One is already dead, and one is still alive. You can choose to seek revenge on him.”

Little Anna was about to nod when she heard the gentle voice above her speak unhurriedly, “However, he is like you; he also became a vampire.”

“Why? Wasn’t he human?” Little Anna suddenly looked up, meeting a pair of eyes that seemed to be smiling but not smiling. Her body trembled uncontrollably. “You turned him into a vampire too?”

Yan Ye nodded, leaving Little Anna with a bewildered back view, and left gracefully.

He needed to hurry to the human dwelling area now, approach the male and female leads, and incidentally prevent the Werewolf Male Supporting Character from causing trouble and affecting the male and female leads’ relationship.

Werewolves, like vampires, are creatures that move at night. Both sides dislike going out during the day, and the night was still long!

As soon as Hill Prince left the Castle, the Blood Thralls who saw him off began discussing their King.

“Decades have passed, and our King is finally awake.”

A hundred years ago, there was a rumor in the Hunter’s Guild that Hill Prince had entered the Hunter’s Guild alone to see his beloved, and later, due to being betrayed by his lover, he fell into a deep sleep.

“That’s great. For the Blood Clan feast this time, we finally won’t have to look at others’ faces anymore.”

“Hey, do any of you know who the girl the King brought back is?”

When this topic came up, all the servants’ eyes looked towards the room where Little Anna was. They all shook their heads, indicating they didn’t know.

But quickly, they changed the subject and began discussing their King’s appearance.

Hill Prince’s appearance was famously handsome among the Blood Clan. Coupled with his gentle personality, he was also the object of desire for many Earls’ daughters to marry. Unfortunately, he often slept deeply, and the number of times they could see him was extremely rare.

The dim light flickered in the Old Slums, looking like it could go out at any moment.

Several mice scurried across the damp ground. Their destination was the trash can of a certain Small Restaurant, where there might be food discarded by humans.

Yan Ye’s arrival caused the mice rummaging through the trash can to scatter. It was then that he stopped, his gaze fixed on the shadows on the ground. With a slight curve of his lips, he lifted his foot and walked inside.

The alley reached a dead end. Yan Ye seemed forced to stop and intended to turn back. Just then, a ruffian-looking teenager dressed like a delinquent walked in from the entrance.

Some had their hands in their pockets, others had their hands behind their heads, whistling, their postures sloppy.

“Kid, lend us some money, brothers,” the leading man said, his gaze unfriendly.

Yan Ye was targeted and blocked here simply because he looked like a rich person. His attire was out of place in this Slums, making him seem like a money bag.

Yan Ye remained silent. These people, thinking he was unwilling to give money, all began to show unkindness in their eyes. One of them said, “Hey, didn’t you hear what our big brother said? I advise you not to refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit.”

The Slums area was chaotic, with few people managing it. This was why these local ruffians dared to be so arrogant.

Yan Ye’s reaction was indifferent. The man who spoke was angered by his attitude, feeling like he had lost face in front of his brothers. “Big brother, this kid looks down on you. Let me teach him a lesson first.”

With that, the man, holding a steel pipe, was about to swing it at Yan Ye.

Just then, the tightly closed door in the alley suddenly opened. Immediately after, the man was kicked in the chest, staggering back several steps. The steel pipe in his hand was also snatched away.

Before the others could react, a young man had already pulled Yan Ye and run off.

“What the hell, where did they go?” the kicked man roared.

The others, belatedly realizing, looked in the opposite direction. “They ran away, damn it, chase them quickly.”

The young man who took Yan Ye was very familiar with the terrain here, taking Yan Ye darting around. Soon, they shook off the people behind them.

“Okay, safe… safe now,” the young man leaned one hand against the old wall, one hand on his chest, panting heavily.

Yan Ye, who had run the whole way with him, breathed steadily, his expression calm as usual, showing no sign of the panic of being chased.

The young man caught his breath and then turned back to look at the person beside him, his gaze puzzled. “Who are you? Why are you here?”

Looking at the man’s attire, he didn’t seem like someone who should appear in the Slums.

Yan Ye accepted the other person’s scrutiny, his calm eyes also examining him. As for the little incident just now, it was something he had deliberately caused.

As early as outside the alley, he had noticed someone following him. As for why he led the person into the alley, it was to draw out the male lead and approach him.

When Yan Ye came here to find the male lead, he had learned from the Book of Reincarnation that the male lead worked at a Small Restaurant in this area.

And the place where the male lead had just come out from was the back door of the Small Restaurant.

Yan Ye revealed a friendly smile, “Thank you for saving me.”

The young man waved his hand dismissively, frowning. “You’re not from around here. You’d best leave quickly, otherwise, you’ll be targeted by that group again.”

Regarding that group of people, the young man, having lived here for over twenty years, knew their bad habits well – doing nothing all day except forming gangs and looking for trouble.

Yan Ye first thanked the young man for his kindness, then hesitated, saying, “I came here to find someone. I don’t have any money on me right now, so I’m afraid I can’t leave anytime soon. I have to wait until I find my friend.”

    “You don’t have money?”

His words surprised the young man.

Yan Ye seemed to see the thoughts in the young man’s eyes and said with a wry smile, “It’s my first time here. The money I brought was stolen by a pickpocket.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he immediately received a sympathetic look.

Yan Ye pushed his hand away with a wry smile. The most valuable thing he had right now was this set of clothes.

“Then you haven’t found your friend yet?” the young man asked, sympathetically patting his shoulder.

Yan Ye shook his head, sighed softly, a forced smile on his lips. He looked up at the dark night again, pretending to sigh, “Looks like I’ll have to sleep on the streets tonight.”

The young man also looked up, a complicated expression flashing across his face. In the end, his sympathy overflowed, and he invited, “How about you come to my place tonight? You can stay a night, and then look for your friend tomorrow during the day?”

In a world where vampires and werewolves existed, the night was the most unsafe time. For example, when he went to work during the day, he often found homeless people disemboweled by werewolves on the streets, and drunkards drained of blood by vampires.

Yan Ye pondered for a moment, hesitating, “Will that trouble your family?”

The young man waved his hand and began leading the way, talking as they walked, “No, my family is very good.”

They were all kind people; otherwise, they wouldn’t have taken care of him after his mother passed away.

Chen Ran would remember such great kindness for a lifetime.

As Chen Ran led Yan Ye, the embarrassed smile on Yan Ye’s face was replaced by a playful one.

It seemed the male lead in this world was quite kind. His later changes were quite significant.

A dim yellow light illuminated the old stairwell. Chen Ran knocked on an iron door and said to Yan Ye, “This is my home.”

Just as he finished speaking, there was a click, and the door was opened from the inside. A young girl in a yellow dress appeared before them.

“Nan Ni,” Chen Ran called out, his voice gentle and soft, different from the tone he used when speaking to Yan Ye just now.

The girl called Nan Ni smiled and nodded, then looked at Yan Ye, hesitant. “He is…”

Before Yan Ye could introduce himself, Chen Ran quickly said, “His name is Yan Ye.”

On the way back, they had already told each other their names. Yan Ye, due to the Hunter’s Guild, was temporarily using his real name. After all, using the original body’s name would make it too easy for people to discover his identity and cause unnecessary trouble.

After Chen Ran finished introducing Yan Ye, he pulled him into the house, talking to his beloved the whole time about his heroic deeds, which made the girl cover her mouth and giggle, praising his bravery.

Yan Ye also chimed in at the appropriate times, saying a few words thanking him for saving and taking him in.

Upon learning that Yan Ye would be staying the night, Nan Ni hesitated for a moment and asked, “Where will he sleep tonight?”

Their house didn’t have many rooms, only three. One was for Nan Ni and Chen Ran, one was for Nan Ni’s mother, and the last one was currently occupied by the person they had just rescued last night.

“How about I sleep with Mom tonight, and you sleep with Brother Yan?” Nan Ni suggested.

Chen Ran didn’t immediately agree, clearly reluctant to be separated from his wife and unwilling to sleep apart from Nan Ni.

Yan Ye’s gaze swept over the three rooms, stopping on one of them. With a slight curl of his lips, his voice filled with apology, he said, “I can sleep in the living room. I’ve already bothered you too much tonight.”

The living room? Chen Ran looked at their living room and shook his head directly. “No, there’s nothing in the living room. How can anyone sleep there?”

Saying that, he glanced at the room Yan Ye had just looked at, and smiled, “It’s alright, we have another room.”

Yan Ye shook his head, trying to refuse.

Chen Ran wouldn’t let him refuse, saying with a smile, “There’s a person in there who’s unconscious. You can make do with him for the night; it’s better than sleeping out here!”

Nan Ni thought he had a point, nodded, and said softly, “Ah Ran is right.”

Yan Ye feigned a few attempts to refuse, and finally, half-heartedly agreed.

They chatted outside for a while. Around twelve o’clock, Chen Ran, yawning, saw him to the room door.

In the dark room, the werewolf sniffed the scent in the air, his eyes lighting up for a moment. When he heard footsteps stop at the door, those wary eyes closed again.
