AMTBYIGA Chapter 3
by VolareChapter 3 Rose
Lin Sui walked around the room a few times, his gaze lingering in a corner. He went over and picked up a red handkerchief.
Holding the handkerchief, Lin Sui’s fingers deftly weaved through the red fabric. In the blink of an eye, the stiff red cloth transformed into a delicate rose shape. The layers of silk shimmered in the light. Lin Sui carefully placed it in the pocket of his chest.
The originally plain suit was instantly set off by the fabric rose, carrying a hint of romance. Lin Sui looked in the mirror, nodding in satisfaction.
*Now* it looks like a wedding.
In another dressing room, separated by a wall, Gu Nian sat in his wheelchair, wearing the same white suit, coldly looking at himself in the mirror, his dark eyes slightly distracted.
He was thinking about Lin Sui, whom he had unintentionally seen earlier.
The young man was very different from what he had imagined. At least, the eye that was visible was clear and bright. Although it was just a fleeting glance, it didn’t seem like the eyes of a greedy and foolish person as described in the files.
Could it be that the other party was too good at disguising? Gu Nian lowered his eyes and thought casually, then scoffed with a self-deprecating laugh.
In his current state, there was no need for anyone to act in front of him.
Probably anyone could step on him.
Soon it was time for the wedding entrance. Outside, he could faintly hear the host giving the opening remarks. According to the procedure, Gu Nian would go in first, and Lin Sui would only enter when the bride was about to enter.
Lin Sui took a deep breath and stood outside the auditorium, listening intently to the movements inside, afraid of being late.
Soon the entrance music started. Lin Sui’s mind went blank for a moment, and then he realized he had to quickly push open the door, standing nervously at the end of the red carpet.
In the muffled sound, his vision gradually widened.
Countless eyes with different emotions instantly converged on him – some with surprise, some with amazement, but most with mockery.
Lin Sui stiffened slightly, staring blankly into Gu Nian’s dark eyes, his almond eyes widening slightly, revealing a bit of helplessness.
He didn’t expect there to be so many people.
After a while, Lin Sui remembered to move forward, trying to appear composed as he walked down the red carpet. The leather shoes made subtle sounds as they stepped on the carpet, and the various gazes moved with him until Lin Sui reached Gu Nian’s side. He turned around, naturally held the back of Gu Nian’s wheelchair, and looked at the audience.
This view was even clearer.
Most people’s eyes were malicious. But that made sense, after the protagonist was paralyzed, he was deserted by all. Most of these people were here to see the good show of the former genius falling into the abyss, probably not even preparing wedding gifts.
Being watched by so many malicious eyes, Lin Sui frowned uncomfortably. He glanced down at Gu Nian, whose expression remained as usual, and a touch of pity arose in his heart, thinking that the other party must be even more uncomfortable than he was.
Meanwhile, the uncomfortable Gu Nian didn’t bother with those people at all. His whole heart was now focused on the rose on Lin Sui’s chest.
Strange.
He didn’t remember that the prepared clothing included such exquisite accessories.
This wedding was just Gu Nian’s concession to fulfill his grandfather’s last wish. Plus, with wolves surrounding him outside, he naturally wouldn’t prepare it with much care. Moreover, Gu Nian even felt a bit of disgust towards this wife of his.
But undeniably, when the other party appeared with that rose, his calm heartbeat skipped a beat.
The young man was born delicate and cute, with round eyes that tilted upwards slightly, clear and bright, with a hint of a smile, a beauty and attention-grabbing even the rose on his chest couldn’t suppress.
That bright red color, like sunlight, shone into this false wedding, making him vaguely feel the illusion that the other party deeply loved him.
Just for a moment.
Gu Nian quickly regained his senses, curling his lips into a cold smile.
Lin Sui’s face was indeed very deceptive, but thinking about the other party’s purpose for marrying him and what he had done before, the little warmth that Gu Nian had just felt vanished, and a few traces of mockery appeared in his eyes.
His acting skills were not bad, he had underestimated the other party.
