    Chapter 67: Announcing the Relationship

In the end, all parents want is for their children to be happy.

However, the definition and standard of happiness are in the hands of the children themselves.

Only they know what truly constitutes happiness.

The meeting between the two families went more smoothly than expected. Both families were cultured and sophisticated, and even if they each had their own unspoken troubles, they at least presented a harmonious front.

After this day, Li Chongge and Qin Yuanging’s relationship was considered approved by both families.

Qin Haoting’s “house arrest” of Qin Yuanging was subsequently lifted.

After Qin Yuanging dutifully spent two nights at home with Yu Keci and Qin Haoting, he quickly moved back to the twenty-first floor.

As for why he didn’t move directly to Li Chongge’s place, according to Qin Yuanging, even partners should maintain a little mystery.

But the truth was, until Qin Yuanging’s villa was renovated, he basically didn’t stay on the twenty-first floor alone.

Li Chongge helped Qin Yuanging put away the things he brought, one by one.

“There’s still a lot of space downstairs, it can all fit.”

Qin Yuanging was fiddling with the sketch, wondering where to hang it.

“If there’s space downstairs, this will be perfect for your place.”

Li Chongge took it from his hand, not trying to persuade him further, because he could pretty much guess the final outcome.

Li Chongge had long understood Qin Yuanging’s little quirks and thoughts.

That night, Qin Yuanging got his wish and rolled into Li Chongge’s bed.

Qin Yuanging was a little expectant and a little nervous: “Did you prepare this time?”

Li Chongge nodded and unbuttoned his shirt with one hand as he headed to the bathroom.

The glimpse of his sexy abs as he turned made Qin Yuanging’s Adam’s apple involuntarily bob.

At this moment, anticipation overcame nervousness.

This time, Li Chongge didn’t let him off easily. Their entwined figures were accompanied by heavy breathing and fragmented syllables, lasting until very late.

By the last time, Qin Yuanging was too tired to speak, but Li Chongge still wouldn’t let him go.

So Qin Yuanging stared at the ceiling, thinking that he should probably sleep upstairs tomorrow night.

Facing Li Chongge’s undisguised desire for the first time, Qin Yuanging was completely defeated.

After it was finally over, Qin Yuanging leaned on Li Chongge for a long time to recover.

    “Give me a cigarette.”

“Are you planning to ash it on the bed?”

Qin Yuanging glanced at the messy bed and figured it probably didn’t matter.

Li Chongge carried Qin Yuanging to the bathtub and brought him a brand-new set of pajamas. He then took a quick shower and went out to change the sheets.

Qin Yuanging lazed in the bathtub, waiting for Li Chongge to finish and carry him back to bed, as a matter of course.

Because Li Chongge had served him so well, Qin Yuanging didn’t bring up his request for an after-sex cigarette.

“Qin Yuanging, let’s go to Canada together next month.”

Qin Yuanging felt a little strength returning to his body after resting for a while, so he sat up and looked at Li Chongge, whose gaze was very focused and serious.

“Does this count as a honeymoon?”

Qin Yuanging didn’t want to go to Canada. He didn’t have any pleasant or memorable memories there.

Only private chefs with scam-level skills and endless dry lunches.

And the unutterable longing that tormented him night after night.

Even though Qin Yuanging was now in a state of happiness, he didn’t want to recall the physical and mental suffering of that time.

Li Chongge saw Qin Yuanging’s resistance and soothed him with a gentle kiss.

    “To get married.”

Qin Yuanging was stunned: “You and me?”

Li Chongge smiled helplessly: “Who else?”

Qin Yuanging then pushed him away, staring at Li Chongge with an incomprehensible expression.

“So you’re proposing? Proposing while sitting on the bed?”

Actually, Li Chongge had originally wanted to propose during the most intense moment earlier, but he wasn’t sure if Qin Yuanging could hear what he was saying at that time.

“I’m happy to give you a grand proposal ceremony, provided you can handle it.”

No, Qin Yuanging couldn’t handle it at all. He didn’t know where he got this weird habit, but he couldn’t stand those very ceremonial occasions since he was a child, and he didn’t even allow Yu Keci to organize any birthday banquets for him.

“Never mind, you know I don’t like that.”

Qin Yuanging leaned back again, hanging himself back on Li Chongge.

“Let’s not wait until next month, let’s arrange our work in the next couple of days and go.”

Li Chongge held him very tightly.

    “Okay.”

Qin Yuanging was probably too tired, he fell asleep after only a few minutes. Li Chongge carefully laid him down, looked at him for a long, long time before turning off the lights and lying down with him.

    His luck had finally arrived.

Qin Yuanging gave himself half a day off after waking up. The lingering discomfort made it impossible for him to ignore.

Li Chongge changed his work to online and stayed by his side to keep him company.

Qin Yuanging then started making phone calls one by one, inviting people to dinner that night.

It was rare for Qin Yuanging to host a gathering, so Deng Weien and the others responded enthusiastically, with no one making excuses about being busy.

When it came to Zhang Zhaolin, Qin Yuanging specifically asked him to bring Tang Jingxuan along.

Qin Yuanging didn’t mind one more person witnessing his happiness.

Seeing that Qin Yuanging had finally finished making calls, Li Chongge sat down next to him, still taciturn, but the tenderness in his eyes was enough to drown Qin Yuanging.

“Don’t look at me like that.”

    “What’s wrong?”

Qin Yuanging crooked his finger, and Li Chongge leaned in.

    “I can’t help myself again.”

Qin Yuanging wanted to run after flirting, but he was directly pounced on the sofa.

“If you can’t help it, then don’t.”

Qin Yuanging, who had originally planned to rest properly, successfully aggravated his “injury” because of his smart mouth.

In the evening, inside a private room at the Jiading Hotel, Qin Yuanging and his invited friends had mostly arrived.

“A’Yuan, it’s rare for you to have time to host a gathering, is there something special or are you just hanging out with us?”

Qin Yuanging took two bottles of good wine and put them on the table, saying, “Didn’t we agree before? When I’m in a relationship, I’ll treat you guys to a meal.”

The expressions on the faces of those present were varied. Zhang Zhaolin and Sun Qihao, who knew some inside information, didn’t dare to speak rashly for the time being. Deng Weien and Guan Yuchao, who didn’t know anything and were purely watching the fun, were instantly invigorated.

“You kid, you’re hiding it deep. Where’s the person? Haven’t arrived yet?”

Deng Weien looked around and didn’t see a single unfamiliar face.

Just as he was speaking, Jiang Muyuan entered the private room while on the phone, threw her bag down, and sat next to Sun Qihao.

Deng Weien then teased, “Back and forth, it’s still her?”

Sun Qihao looked up at him with pity.

“Don’t talk nonsense. Now that everyone’s here, I’ll just say it straight. Li Chongge and I are together.”

Qin Yuanging didn’t shy away from directly clasping Li Chongge’s hand, his eyes and brows filled with undisguised joy and pride.

Wasn’t he supposed to be proud of winning over Li Chongge?

There was the sound of glass breaking, it was Guan Yuchao’s glass that had fallen to the ground.

He came back to his senses, apologized, and rushed out to find a waiter to come in and clean up.

    He needed to calm down.

Over here, Deng Weien’s eyes widened, suspecting that he must have misheard.

“What do you mean by ‘together’?”

Was it the meaning he understood?

Li Chongge said calmly: “The meaning of being in love.”

“Oh, that’s great, congratulations.” Deng Weien picked up his glass stiffly and numbly and stood up.

The others reacted and also raised their glasses in celebration.

Those present who were originally unaware were more shocked by Li Chongge having this kind of thought than by Qin Yuanging’s sexual orientation.

But after thinking about it carefully, it seemed like it should be so. Li Chongge had always been different towards Qin Yuanging, but no one had thought about it in this direction before.

Seeing that Sun Qihao was looking at him with some concern, and Zhang Zhaolin also had an unclear expression, Qin Yuanging smiled and added, “My family knows, and they all agree.”

So everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief at this dinner.

Jiang Muyuan held a napkin, feeling so gratified that she was about to cry, and whispered to Sun Qihao, “I have to sit at the head table when they get married.”

Sun Qihao was unhappy: “Why? I have merit too!”

Jiang Muyuan rarely argued with him, her voice a little choked up: “We’ll sit together.”

    “That’s more like it!”
