WSIDIILMBOCIR Chapter 51
by VolareChapter 51: Very Bad Bastard
The traffic situation in Jing City during the evening rush hour was terrible. Long lines of cars were stuck on the road, unmoving. Countless people impatiently beat their steering wheels, but Qin Yuanging and Li Chongge were not among them.
They were also stuck in traffic, but their moods were different from everyone else’s.
Li Chongge was still driving, and Qin Yuanging leaned back leisurely in the passenger seat, his eyes roving over Li Chongge without restraint.
“Qin Yuanging, don’t look at me like that.”
Li Chongge’s kind warning did not make Qin Yuanging retreat. Instead, he brazenly placed his hand on the back of Li Chongge’s hand.
“I told you to come earlier. Now it’s jammed like this, with cars everywhere. If I don’t look at you, what am I supposed to look at, the taillights?”
Li Chongge turned his hand over and grasped Qin Yuanging’s hand, his fingertip pressing lightly on the knuckle of his hand. The pressure was so light that Qin Yuanging didn’t know if he was being punished or flirted with.
“You can look, but when you do that, I get distracted.”
The cars in front slowly began to move, and Li Chongge let go of Qin Yuanging’s hand, focusing his attention on the road ahead.
“Distracted? What do you want to do when you’re distracted?”
Qin Yuanging, “incorrigible,” continued to stare directly at Li Chongge, but for safety’s sake, he stopped touching him. However, his mouth was unforgiving.
He loved seeing Li Chongge’s face showing expressions that were different from usual, which meant that the Li Chongge he possessed was completely different from the one others saw.
Qin Yuanging also had his own possessiveness.
Li Chongge chuckled softly. The noise coming in from outside the car window made it difficult for Qin Yuanging to hear clearly, so he didn’t realize that deliberately teasing Li Chongge was a dangerous thing.
“Thinking about what we’re going to have for dinner,” Li Chongge said, his tone still light, but the faint smile between his brows showed that he was in a good mood.
Qin Yuanging smiled, feeling a surge of satisfaction in his heart.
This was the second day that he and Li Chongge were officially together. They were stuck in traffic on their way home, but they didn’t complain or get annoyed. Instead, a sense of happiness in working together grew within them.
Qin Yuanging loved hearing the word “we” from Li Chongge. He believed that when Li Chongge said this word, he was grouping them together as one. Others were others, and they were them, and there was a clear boundary between the two.
Li Chongge was still cooking dinner tonight. Because the traffic had caused a significant delay, Qin Yuanging was settled on the sofa as soon as they entered the house.
“You rest first, I’ll be quick.”
“Do you need my help?” Qin Yuanging actually enjoyed being in the kitchen with Li Chongge.
“No, if you feel bored sitting there, you can wander around. You can go to any part of this place.”
Qin Yuanging no longer insisted on helping. He had been to Li Chongge’s place many times, but he rarely set foot in Li Chongge’s bedroom and study. He still had a great desire to explore these two places.
“Anywhere? What if I find some of your secrets?”
Qin Yuanging pretended to be reserved, but in reality, he was itching to move.
Li Chongge amusedly pulled him up from the sofa.
“If you find them, you find them. We’ll look at them together.”
His biggest secret had already been revealed, and there was nothing that Qin Yuanging couldn’t know.
Li Chongge went into the kitchen, and Qin Yuanging wandered into the study.
The previous photo album had been put away by Li Chongge. Qin Yuanging found it on the highest shelf of the bookcase. He also found a bouquet of flowers, although withered, that had been carefully tied with a ribbon.
Qin Yuanging recognized that it was the first bouquet he had given to Li Chongge.
Even though it was no longer in its original condition, Li Chongge had preserved it well.
Qin Yuanging’s eyes felt a little sore.
He hadn’t had time to ask Li Chongge when he had fallen in love with him, but he could vaguely guess that it was before he had fallen in love himself.
As for exactly how early, only Li Chongge himself could give him the answer.
However, what was certain was that the torment and pain Li Chongge had suffered would not be less than Qin Yuanging’s.
Qin Yuanging didn’t even dare to imagine how Li Chongge had spent each day during the two years he had run away.
This was probably heaven’s punishment for Qin Yuanging’s cowardice.
However, it was Li Chongge and Qin Yuanging who bore the consequences.
This was unfair, yet very fair.
Because only when the person most loved by the punished person suffers, will the punished person know regret.
The suffocating feeling that took one’s breath away was longer and more despairing than heartbreaking pain.
Qin Yuanging reread the photo album, but his state of mind was very different. The first time he read it, it was a realization and surprise, but now there was only heartache and regret.
At that time, Li Chongge was probably as helpless as he was, right?
It was just that Qin Yuanging was a bastard who patted his butt and ran away, while Li Chongge didn’t say a word, enduring the endless torment alone.
Qin Yuanging’s throat felt a little tight. Out of instinct, he reached for his waist, wanting to light a cigarette to relieve his emotions. However, he felt nothing. His coat was hanging in the entryway, and he didn’t have any cigarettes on him.
At the same time, he noticed that there was no ashtray on Li Chongge’s desk.
Qin Yuanging thought back to it, and he hadn’t seen one in the living room just now either.
As the only place in the house where work was done, it was a bit strange that the study didn’t have an ashtray.
Unless what was causing Li Chongge’s pressure wasn’t work.
If it wasn’t work, what could it be? Of course, it was Qin Yuanging, the bastard.
That’s right, Li Chongge clearly didn’t smoke before Qin Yuanging left.
When Li Chongge turned around, Qin Yuanging was leaning against the doorframe, motionless, staring straight at him.
“Hungry? It’ll be ready soon.”
Li Chongge was tall and broad, and he had a unique charm when he stood there cooking.
“Did you quit smoking?”
“Yeah, I don’t want to smoke anymore.”
Qin Yuanging walked over and directly wrapped his arms around Li Chongge’s firm waist from behind, his voice muffled.
“Li Chongge, am I a very bad person?”
“A little bit,” Li Chongge let him hug him. “But that doesn’t affect my love for you.”
“Li Chongge, can we kiss? Secretary Bai interrupted us this morning, I’ll make it up to you.”
“Now?”
“Yeah, now.”
“I can’t do anything with you.”
Li Chongge said insincerely as he turned around and grasped Qin Yuanging’s waist, unceremoniously pinning him against the cabinets, but he didn’t move for a long time.
Qin Yuanging stared blankly at the person so close to him.
“Didn’t you say you wanted to kiss?”
Qin Yuanging understood and leaned in proactively.
This was Li Chongge’s personal space, and no one would interrupt, so Qin Yuanging had no qualms and boldly and proactively stuck out the tip of his tongue.
Li Chongge quietly opened his eyes, not wanting to miss seeing with his own eyes how Qin Yuanging kissed him.
“You’re not concentrating.”
Qin Yuanging suddenly opened his eyes and caught Li Chongge red-handed.
He also caught the fiery love in his eyes.
“Qin Yuanging, close your eyes.”
In Li Chongge’s eyes, Qin Yuanging’s boldness could only be considered teasing. He wanted to teach Qin Yuanging how to kiss him.
Both were clumsy explorations, but Li Chongge learned quickly and did better than Qin Yuanging.
