Chapter 27: A Little Bit Willful

The beautiful times are always fleeting. To Qin Yuanging, the few days of vacation were like a splendid dream. Li Chongge was by his side at all times, the first person he saw when he opened his eyes and the last before he closed them.

But after Qin Yuanging returned, he had a lot of things piled up in his hands. Before he could feel sentimental, he had to concentrate on his work.

During this time, Sun Qihao called him again and again, repeatedly warning Qin Yuanging not to do anything foolish.

As for Jiang Muyuan, she went on a business trip, which would take about a month. Before she left, she sent Qin Yuanging a message, but did not explain why she hadn’t answered his calls or replied to his messages before.

On the last day of July, Jing City suddenly had a heavy rain. It was only 5 p.m., but the entire sky was already dark, and the faint thunder rumbled, making people feel uneasy.

Qin Yuanging told the employees in the company group to leave work early, and he also packed up his things to go back.

As soon as the car drove out of the garage, raindrops pattered against the car window, making people feel flustered. Even though Qin Yuanging had already turned the windshield wipers to the maximum speed, his vision was still unclear.

The endless stream of vehicles on the road only had red taillights, reflecting a faint scarlet light through the dense rain.

Qin Yuanging wanted to call Li Chongge, but he didn’t know what to say. Li Chongge never lacked people to care for him.

His three secretaries would arrange everything in his life and work. This rain, not a single drop would fall on Li Chongge.

Bypassing the bustling business district, there were fewer cars on the road. Through the car window, Qin Yuanging saw an old-fashioned pastry shop that he used to frequent.

Li Chongge didn’t like sweets, but he was willing to try a couple of bites of the pastries from this shop.

So Qin Yuanging slowed down and parked the car on the side of the road, running into the store in the rain.

At this moment, he truly realized how heavy the rain was. In just two minutes, Qin Yuanging was soaked to the bone.

Because one of the pastries was freshly baked, Qin Yuanging stood inside the store and waited for a while. When he came out, the wind and rain poured down on his face again.

Back at his residence, Qin Yuanging turned on the TV in the living room, took a shower in the bathroom, and nestled in the beanbag chair in front of the French window to watch the rain.

Qin Yuanging looked at the time, Li Chongge was about to get off work.

But for some reason, Qin Yuanging felt that his face was a little hot. This feeling continued until he started to feel cold, and he finally realized that something was wrong.

Li Chongge stood at the door and looked at his phone several times, but he didn’t receive the message he wanted to see.

    So heartless.

Although Qin Yuanging and Li Chongge were now neighbors living upstairs and downstairs, they didn’t often have dinner together.

Because neither of them had brought it up.

At eight o’clock in the evening, the rain finally subsided a bit, and Li Chongge finally received a call from Qin Yuanging.

Before the corners of his mouth could curl up, his eyebrows furrowed.

Qin Yuanging’s soft voice came from the receiver.

“Li Chongge, I feel so uncomfortable.”

Li Chongge asked Qin Yuanging for the password, quickly went upstairs, and walked directly into the bedroom.

Qin Yuanging was huddled in the blanket, his fair face flushed, his whole body radiating heat, and his half-closed eyes revealed a hint of anxiety.

Li Chongge reached out and placed his hand on his forehead, the scalding temperature making his fingertips tremble.

He didn’t even need a thermometer to know that Qin Yuanging had a fever.

Out of caution, he still took Qin Yuanging’s temperature.

    38.5°C.

“I’ll go buy you medicine, you have a fever.”

Qin Yuanging hummed drowsily, and said in a hoarse voice, “Li Chongge, I want to drink water.”

He was too uncomfortable, his head was too heavy to lift, his body was alternating between hot and cold, he covered himself with the blanket and then threw it off, threw it off and then covered himself again, exhausted and busy.

Qin Yuanging’s weak appearance made Li Chongge panic a little, but he quickly calmed down, brought Qin Yuanging water, and immediately went out to buy him antipyretic medicine.

After Li Chongge left, Qin Yuanging fell asleep again in a daze, but not long after, he was pulled out of the blanket.

“Take the medicine first and then sleep.”

Qin Yuanging didn’t have any strength in his whole body. He felt that Li Chongge was by his side, so he simply leaned over, but bumped straight into his chest.

Li Chongge’s body stiffened for a moment, he put the water glass and medicine on the bedside table, and helped Qin Yuanging lean against the head of the bed.

“Open your mouth, I’ll feed you.”

Qin Yuanging closed his eyes and didn’t move. Li Chongge hardened his heart, pinched his mouth open, pressed the pill on his tongue, and forcefully fed water into it.

The bitter taste of the medicine filled his mouth, and physiological tears burst out of Qin Yuanging’s eyes.

    “Li Chongge, you’re so rude.”

Qin Yuanging reluctantly opened his eyes with tears in his eyes and complained in a low voice.

Li Chongge used his thumb to wipe away his tears heavily.

“Have you had dinner? Are you hungry?”

“I’m not hungry, I want to sleep.”

Qin Yuanging slipped back into the blanket, not wanting to say another word.

But he still mustered the last bit of strength to grab Li Chongge’s wrist, which was propped up on the side of the bed.

    “You’re not allowed to leave.”

Li Chongge gently covered Qin Yuanging’s forehead with his other hand.

“Okay, I won’t go anywhere, go to sleep.”

Qin Yuanging closed his eyes and fell asleep completely.

Li Chongge sat by the bed for a long time, and finally couldn’t help but pull Qin Yuanging’s hand into his, and kissed the back of his hand gently with extreme restraint.

God knows how much he wanted to hug him tightly when Qin Yuanging bumped into his arms just now.

“Qin Yuanging, tell me, what should I do?”

Li Chongge’s fingertips slid down Qin Yuanging’s eyebrows and eyes, stroking his long eyelashes and lips, and finally stopped at his chin, asking softly.

He really… really was going crazy.

He didn’t dare to move forward, and he didn’t want to retreat.

This was a game between Li Chongge and himself.

He wanted to be selfish once, to work hard once, but he didn’t know where to start.

In the early morning, Qin Yuanging’s fever subsided a bit. Although he hadn’t reached a normal temperature, he had some strength in his body. But when he suddenly woke up, he didn’t see Li Chongge.

Qin Yuanging was a little sad, he clearly said he wouldn’t leave…

Li Chongge had also learned to lie.

But the next moment, the door was opened, and he and Li Chongge stared at each other.

“I just went out to wash up.”

Qin Yuanging’s eyes couldn’t speak, but Li Chongge had the ability to interpret what he was thinking at the moment.

Li Chongge approached and leaned over to touch his forehead.

“Better, do you want something to eat?”

Qin Yuanging patted the side of his body.

“It’s very late, you have to go to work tomorrow, go to sleep, I don’t have any appetite, you don’t have to worry about me.”

When they were on vacation before, the two of them slept in the same bed every day, so Qin Yuanging boldly invited Li Chongge to sleep with him.

Perhaps because he was sick, Qin Yuanging became a little sentimental, he just wanted Li Chongge to be with him.

Li Chongge softened his voice and coaxed him in an almost pleading tone: “Just eat a little bit, I learned how to cook porridge online, will you try a bite?”

Qin Yuanging was easy to coax.

    “Okay then.”

Qin Yuanging drank the porridge and watched Li Chongge get into bed before falling asleep contentedly.

He had slept for a long time before, so he wasn’t sleepy now.

Qin Yuanging lurked in the darkness, and after confirming that Li Chongge was asleep, Qin Yuanging moved a little closer to him until he could vaguely feel his body temperature, then Qin Yuanging stopped.

He was a patient, and he wanted to be a little bit willful today.

He wanted to get a little closer to Li Chongge.
