IM Chapter 18
by VolareOuhuang International Hotel.
Xu Chen buttoned the top button of his shirt. On the bed, the omega carefully sat up, not wearing a single thread, looking at the alpha’s back.
Xu Chen didn’t turn around to look at him, his voice very cold. “You better keep this matter locked in your heart. If it leaks out and others find out, I’ll make sure you can never speak again.”
Su Ning bit his lower lip tightly, looking up at his cold back, forcing a natural smile, appearing docile. “I know, A-Ning won’t make Brother Xu feel embarrassed.”
Xu Chen was very satisfied with his understanding, coldly glanced at him, and mercilessly turned away, leaving the room.
The smile on Su Ning’s lips gradually disappeared, his lips tightened, and he slowly lowered his head to admire the marks left on his body by the other person last night. Xu Chen’s actions weren’t gentle, even rough, but he liked men like this.
The originally satisfied smile on the omega’s face suddenly became unusually strained, as if he had thought of something.
Shen ChiTai, Xu Chen kept calling out the other person’s name while in bed last night, and a few times in between, he was too dazed to hear clearly, but it seemed to be another person’s name as well.
The joy in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by an extremely complex jealousy intertwined with mad envy.
To win Xu Chen’s favor was a great honor for him, but the things he valued and cherished so much were discarded like weeds by someone else, how could he not be jealous?
Last night, Xu Chen had rarely taken the initiative to call him, and when he went to pick the man up, the beta had drunk too much and was no longer very clear-headed.
He took advantage of the situation, knowing that Xu Chen must have mistaken him for Shen ChiTai, and knowing that he never had a place in the man’s heart from the beginning. Even if something like this happened between them, Xu Chen wouldn’t allow him to get close.
But he didn’t care. The omega reached out and stroked his flat lower abdomen. If he could conceive Xu Chen’s child here, it would be worth it, even if the beta found out and got angry, even if he kicked him out.
A chill permeated the hotel air. Outside the window, the sun paved the way, and thousands of golden rays shone directly on the green leaves on the roadside, the leaves glistening with dazzling light.
Waves of heat surged in the air. A man sitting in the coffee shop leisurely crossed his legs, long and well-shaped fingers lightly and powerfully tapping his knee, his narrow eyes slightly raised, looking at Shang Jue, who had a cold face, across from him.
“Why the long face? Although I asked you out, my intentions are good, aren’t they?”
A weasel offering New Year’s greetings to a chicken – Shang Jue didn’t think anything good could come of this.
“You just got off the plane and came to me with dust on you, your face is also written all over with impure motives. I’m giving you face just by sitting here and talking to you.” Too lazy to beat around the bush, “Just say it, what exactly do you want me for?”
“What’s the rush? I’m just about to give it to you.” The man leaned forward and placed his phone in front of him, then leaned back, lazily crossing his legs, supporting his chin with one hand, and said leisurely, “Everything is here, but seriously, your brother’s taste in people really isn’t anything special.”
Shang Jue glanced faintly at the thing on the table, reached out to pick it up, and scanned it with indifferent eyes. He coldly chuckled, and heavily tossed the phone onto the table. “No need to give it to me, just find someone to deliver it directly to him when the time comes.”
“I thought you were going to personally deliver it to him, at least to curry some favor with the beauty. Fine, then leave it to me.” Yan Zhugui raised his voice, sighing with a look of regret. “Alas, that’s that. Another beauty is going to be heartbroken. I feel a little bad about it.”
Shang Jue glanced at him expressionlessly. “Since when did a playboy like you learn to feel sorry for people?” He didn’t think that Yan Zhugui was suddenly being considerate enough to help him just because he was bored. Others might not know what kind of person this guy was, but Shang Jue couldn’t possibly not know.
The man smiled brilliantly, but his eyes were cold and stern, and he said freely, “A wastrel still has ambitions. I don’t like ugly ones.”
A mocking arc crossed Shang Jue’s lips as he looked at the man who was putting on a good show, and that face of his that was so handsome it was outrageous, a criminal face that made people dizzy with his smile.
“Alright, consider that I owe you a favor this time. If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave first.”
Yan Zhugui didn’t try to keep him. He had rushed over non-stop as soon as his plane landed. He was exhausted, and yet he wasn’t welcome.
The man spoke with a fake smile, “Sure thing, walk slowly, I won’t see you out.”
Shang Jue was too lazy to exchange pleasantries with him. He left the coffee shop, took out his phone, and glanced at the time, estimating that his brother should be arriving at the cat cafe soon.
The things that happened with the omega last night had made everyone a little unhappy, but when he thought about what was about to happen to Xu Chen, he was both worried about Shen ChiTai and unable to suppress his elation. However, it would be a great thing for him if he could get his brother to drive Xu Chen away on his own.
All of the alpha’s bad mood vanished at that moment. He looked up to meet the bright, dazzling light above his head, put away his phone, and left the coffee shop.
Shen ChiTai had been experiencing twitching on his right eyelid ever since he woke up in the morning. There is saying, “Left eye twitches for wealth, right eye twitches for disaster” he felt uneasy.
He saw the door of the cat cafe was open from a distance. It was still early, and only Yu Xingqiao was in the shop.
Yu Xingqiao rarely arrived early on weekdays, but today, he had arrived even before him. Shen ChiTai quickened his pace, the sound of speeding cars rushing past his ears, the wind blowing his hair into disarray.
Yu Xingqiao saw him walk into the shop, stopped the hard work he was doing, and called out to him. “ChiTai, you’re here.”
“Morning.”
“Morning, morning, morning, the sun is already high in the sky. Here, someone asked me to give you this.”
Shen ChiTai looked at the silver USB drive in his hand. “What’s this?”
“Not too sure. A man asked me to pass it on to you. He just left when you arrived.”
Shen ChiTai reached out and took the USB drive, silently lowering his eyes, then put the USB drive away in his pocket.
“Did you walk here?”
“Yeah, I figured walking in the morning would be good exercise.”
“Why didn’t your brother send you?”
When Shen ChiTai heard Shang Jue’s name, he unconsciously bit his lip, finding it difficult to speak. “He has his own things to do. Why should I delay him from doing something important?”
“What’s this about ‘something important’? Isn’t what you’re doing something important? If you ask me, you should still get a driver’s license. Otherwise, it won’t be convenient for you to go out.”
“Alright, I’ll go when I have time.”
“I don’t know how many times you’ve said that. I’m tired of hearing it. How much time would it take you to get a driver’s license? If you don’t have a driver’s license, the time you spend traveling on the road in your lifetime is destined to far exceed the time you spend getting a driver’s license, possibly by hundreds of times, or even more.”
“Alright, Xingqiao, I understand, I’ll listen to you. I’ll take the test after a while, okay?”
“Alright, it’s not like I have to force you to get a driver’s license. I also know you’re not the type to be short on money. But having a means of transportation is always more convenient. Besides, boyfriends and brothers are the least reliable.”
When Shen ChiTai heard the words “brothers,” he immediately thought of Shang Jue again.
Are brothers unreliable?
He had seen many families where the children would tear each other apart to fight over property, and even brothers would fight and make things very ugly. But he had never thought of touching anything that already belonged to Shang Jue. Although the two were brothers and lived under the same roof, he had rarely asked the family for money over the years, and he had never interfered in the affairs of the company.
Even so, Shang Jue would be wary of him and become enemies with him? Shen ChiTai’s mind was in chaos. His words had disturbed him all morning, making him restless.
It wasn’t until the omega returned that he plugged the USB drive into the computer. After seeing the contents of the USB drive, he felt as if he had been struck by lightning, his face pale. Reality had dealt him a heavy blow.
He had never suspected that such a thing would happen to him. Watching the images still moving on the screen, Shen ChiTai trembled and hurriedly grabbed the mouse, trying several times before managing to turn off the computer.
His chest was vibrating too fast, and he couldn’t keep up with his breathing. A strong feeling of suffocation was tightly gripping his neck, covering his mouth and nose, almost suffocating him.
Although his relationship with Xu Chen had been a little bland for the past two years, he had to admit that he hadn’t done enough in terms of the relationship. But he had always seen the other party as someone worth entrusting his life to. When he saw the first two seconds of the video, his mind went blank, at a loss.
After reacting for a long time, he barely managed to control his trembling hand, took out his phone from his pocket, and dialed a call to his pinned contact.
The call was quickly connected.
Xu Chen was surprised that he would take the initiative to call him today.
Shen ChiTai looked at the connected call, his voice a little hoarse, the airflow passing through his mouth very light. “Xu Chen, where are you?”
“I’m out playing pool with friends, what’s wrong, senior?”
Shen ChiTai asked him, “Is that junior also there?”
Xu Chen had always been meticulous and quickly noticed the unusual tone in his voice. After hesitating for half a second, he replied, “Yeah, we came together.”
Shen ChiTai bit his white, bloodless lower lip tightly, repeatedly trying to build up his courage in his heart. In the last second, he held his breath for an extremely long time, as if making up his mind, and said, “Let’s break up.”
