TRMLCM Chapter 62
by VolareChapter 62: Relationship
After parking the car, Shen Chang’an and Cheng Yi switched places. Shen Chang’an sat behind Cheng Yi, his slender fingers lightly gripping the corner of Cheng Yi’s back.
Feeling the gentle touch, Cheng Yi’s dark eyes flickered, the corners of his thin lips slightly raised. He suddenly twisted the handlebar, and the originally slow electric scooter suddenly sped up. The huge inertia caused Shen Chang’an to lean back, and in an instant, he subconsciously wrapped his arms around the person in front of him.
The electric scooter sped forward. Cheng Yi easily rode up the steep slope that Shen Chang’an hadn’t managed to climb, but beyond it was still a long uphill road.
The biting wind rushed towards them, blowing soft strands of hair high into the air, and the clothes on their bodies rustled.
The arms around his waist tightened. Feeling the warmth against his back, Cheng Yi’s eyes crinkled with laughter, and the corners of his mouth turned up high. Subconsciously, he shifted the scooter into the highest gear. The scooter charged forward, leaving even the wind behind, which could only chase after their figures.
The sky was beginning to brighten. They followed the rugged mountain road until the scooter entered the woods, where the road gradually became smoother. Only then did Cheng Yi slowly reduce his speed.
There weren’t many forks in the road. As the view gradually widened, they reached their destination.
This was where two winding mountains converged.
Near the summits of the two surrounding mountains, an artificially constructed reservoir was visible.
“We’re here.”
Shen Chang’an looked sideways at the familiar place, reached out, and tugged at Cheng Yi’s clothes, signaling him to stop.
Cheng Yi stopped the scooter at the bridge entrance, and then he and Shen Chang’an got off.
They had arrived relatively early; the sun had not yet risen.
The long bridge stretched north and south for about a hundred meters. The east side of the bridge offered a wide view; a winding stream slowly converged to form the artificial reservoir. The west side of the bridge was the winding mountain range they had passed on the way.
Standing in the middle of the bridge, they could even see the foot of the mountain they had climbed.
Shen Chang’an slowly walked onto the long bridge. His already messy hair danced wildly in the air. The wind blowing off the water was a bit damp and carried the chill of dawn, making him want to shiver.
Cheng Yi leisurely walked behind him, watching his somewhat thin figure in the cold wind. A shadow flashed in his dark eyes. He quickly stepped forward and took Shen Chang’an’s hand, only to feel a slight chill.
Shen Chang’an slowly stopped because of his action. He couldn’t help but turn around, his exquisite eyebrows and eyes carrying a cheerful smile. He looked at Cheng Yi, tilting his head slightly, and asked in confusion, “What’s wrong?”
Because they were turned sideways, the wind blew their hair every which way, obscuring their vision.
Cheng Yi’s eyebrows furrowed. A hint of worry appeared in his dark eyes. He held Shen Chang’an’s hand tightly in his palm. His voice was low, and his tone was full of concern as he asked, “Why are you so cold?”
Shen Chang’an blinked his eyes. He wanted to explain, but felt the back of his hand cool down. He looked up and saw that Cheng Yi was about to take off his coat. He quickly stepped in front of Cheng Yi and reached out to grab the hand that was already pulling the zipper.
“Don’t take it off. My hands are always like this. I just haven’t adjusted to the temperature here yet. It’ll be fine in a little while.”
He hurriedly pulled Cheng Yi’s hand away from the zipper and then helped him zip up his coat.
Shen Chang’an felt helpless. His body was just naturally cold. His hands and feet were always cool, not prone to sweating in the summer but particularly susceptible to cold in the winter. But sometimes he didn’t even feel the cold himself.
Cheng Yi’s face darkened, looking stern. Shen Chang’an’s heart skipped a beat. His long, thick eyelashes fluttered anxiously. He sighed inwardly, then took Cheng Yi’s hand and placed it on his own warm cheek.
Shen Chang’an tilted his head slightly, a faint blush appearing on his cheeks, his eyebrows and eyes curving gently. With his red lips slightly parted, he smiled and said, “See, it’s warm.”
A ray of morning light suddenly shone from the winding stream, breaking through the dim dawn. White-gold light illuminated Shen Chang’an from behind, highlighting his tall figure.
He was clearly backlit, but his exquisite eyebrows and eyes seemed to shine with their own light, dazzling and captivating.
Cheng Yi’s heart skipped a beat.
*Thump—*
Then it began to pound again…
His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed. The hand touching Shen Chang’an’s cheek subconsciously moved, gently caressing his face. Cheng Yi’s eyes darkened, and he lowered his head and kissed him abruptly.
The handsome face enlarged before his eyes, and Shen Chang’an’s pupils widened slightly in shock.
Soft lips were being tasted. The golden sunlight passed through Shen Chang’an’s hair and shone on Cheng Yi’s sharp eyebrows and eyes, coating his fair cheeks with a layer of gold. Tiny hairs were reflected in his pupils, clearly visible.
Under the bright golden light, the dim earth was just waking from the night. In the remote mountains, everything was silent. Even the rushing wind seemed to hide away shyly.
In this world, only two hearts were uncontrollably pounding.
His long eyelashes trembled, and Shen Chang’an slowly closed his eyes, responding shyly with his still-inexperienced kissing skills.
After a few minutes, their vibrant lips slowly separated, a crystal-clear thread connecting them, gradually thinning and stretching in the air, then suddenly breaking apart.
His lips felt slightly cool. Shen Chang’an’s clear eyes were slightly dazed. He stuck out the tip of his red tongue and gently licked his moist lips, removing the discomfort.
Seeing his unaware action, Cheng Yi’s breath hitched, and his deep eyes darkened instantly, like a bottomless pool.
…He really suspected that the other person was seducing him, but he had no proof.
Daring not to look at the other’s blushing face, Cheng Yi lowered his head and slowly stepped back, his slender fingers loosening their hold on the back of Shen Chang’an’s head.
“An’an, I just couldn’t control myself.”
His moist, vibrant lips parted slightly. He lowered his head like a child who had done something wrong and suddenly realized it, repenting to the person he had offended, begging for forgiveness.
Shen Chang’an’s clear eyes widened, a look of astonishment on his blushing face. He looked somewhat dazed.
What did he mean?
What was Cheng Yi doing?
They had kissed so many times at home, and he hadn’t seemed embarrassed at all…
Why was he suddenly apologizing to him today?
His somewhat oxygen-deprived brain spun wildly. Shen Chang’an frowned, and his vibrant, red lips parted slightly, but he couldn’t say anything.
Shen Chang’an frowned. He looked at Cheng Yi, whose head was lowered, hiding his expression. His rapidly beating heart suddenly slowed down, and the emotions in his heart slowly grew heavy.
His voice was very soft as he murmured:
“What… is our relationship?”
