Chapter 11: Ordering

As Lin Jun expected, before the morning exercise even ended, someone was already standing outside the iron fence of the training ground.

Ye Wenming didn’t notice Lin Jun’s presence at first. He stood outside the wire mesh, waving at Ye Mingyuan as he passed by, seemingly trying to get his attention.

As the running crowd passed Ye Wenming, Ye Mingyuan didn’t even give him a glance.

    Ye Wenming didn’t seem discouraged.

Since unauthorized personnel weren’t allowed in the training ground, he stood at the entrance, holding a towel and water in his hands.

What era is this? Someone’s actually still using such cliché methods?

Lin Jun glanced over, a hint of mockery in his smile.

Before he could come back to his senses, a large hand pressed down on his head, gently ruffling his hair. “Let’s go.”

Ye Mingyuan had just finished training and was radiating heat, with beads of sweat faintly visible on his forehead.

Lin Jun tilted his head towards the entrance: “Someone’s thoughtfully brought you a towel and water.”

    Ye Mingyuan looked back.

Ye Mingyuan frowned: “…Don’t bother with him.”

Lin Jun shook his head, looking disapproving: “How can we do that? We can’t treat someone’s kindness like dirt.”

Ye Mingyuan slowly typed out a question mark in his mind.

But soon, he knew the answer.

Lin Jun followed Ye Mingyuan, and the two of them walked together to the entrance of the training ground.

Before they could even step out, they heard Ye Wenming call out, “Senior Ye!”

    Ye Mingyuan stopped.

Ye Wenming’s eyes lit up slightly: “I prepared…”

Before he could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by another voice.

“Oh, you even prepared water and a towel, that’s so thoughtful.”

Lin Jun walked up to him. Before Ye Wenming could retract his outstretched hand, the water in his hand was already taken by Lin Jun.

Lin Jun turned around and handed it to Ye Mingyuan: “It’s electrolyte-replenishing water. Want some?”

    Ye Mingyuan: “…”

Lin Jun’s eyes were filled with keen interest.

Ye Mingyuan was silent for two seconds, then spat out two words: “Not thirsty.”

Ye Wenming’s entire face was contorted. He looked at the uninvited guest in front of him, his eyes almost shooting out little knives: “Senior Lin Jun is here too.”

“Command Department morning exercise. Am I not allowed to be here?”

Lin Jun turned his head, asking with a smile.

    Ye Wenming was momentarily choked.

Lin Jun was a legitimate student of the Command Department, so of course he was allowed to be there.

“Not only am I here for morning exercise, but I’ll also be here during classes.” Lin Jun stuffed the water back into Ye Wenming’s hand, turned around, grabbed Ye Mingyuan’s wrist, and strode away.

Ye Mingyuan looked down at the distinct fingers on his wrist, and a faint smile couldn’t help but appear on his lips.

Behind them, Ye Wenming gradually tightened his grip on the plastic bottle in his hand.

Of course, he had a purpose for approaching Ye Mingyuan.

Ye Wenxing’s sudden disappearance had thrown the entire Ye family into chaos.

Just a few days ago, the Ye family’s scouts discovered that one of the mechs registered at the Military Academy was a dark red mech, and the holder of this mech, Ye Mingyuan, was very likely the illegitimate son of Marshal Ye who had been lost twenty years ago.

Ye Mingyuan’s appearance was too timely; the entire Ye family was lacking such a talented and reassuring heir.

It was just a pity… that Ye Mingyuan had close ties with Lin Jun.

Ye Wenming wasn’t stupid; he didn’t want to expose his actions directly under Lin Jun’s nose.

Ye Wenming logged into the school’s forum. The threads about Lin Jun and Ye Mingyuan hadn’t been updated in a long time.

The last one was from two days ago.

[Lin Jun hasn’t been to class for almost a week.]

[I heard he took a leave of absence directly from the Dean, the reason is unknown.]

[Could it be because of heartbreak?]

[Very likely. I remember Lin Jun moved out of his dorm the day before and took a long leave of absence from the Dean the next day.]

[So these two really broke up?]

[Don’t say it, I’ve been feeling like Ye Mingyuan seems very unhappy recently.]

[Upstairs, can you even tell if Ye Mingyuan is happy or unhappy from that poker face? Hasn’t he always had the same expression?]

[The expression is the same, but he’s clearly been more irritable! I almost vomited blood during mech operation class because he hit me so hard, too brutal!]

[Lighting a candle for the person above.]

Ye Wenming stared at the thread for a long time, then backhanded and clicked report in the upper right corner.

Reason for reporting: Spreading false information.

Who the hell said Lin Jun moved out? Who said they broke up?

They were clearly all lovey-dovey in the dorm yesterday, wrapping each other’s fingers, and he accompanied him on his morning exercises today!

There wasn’t the slightest hint of a broken relationship!

Trash thread ruining my plans! Reported!

After being given the silent treatment by Ye Wenming, Lin Jun’s mood was obviously much better.

But this good mood didn’t last long, as it was shattered by the expected morning sickness.

Lin Jun stood outside the bathroom, pressing his churning stomach, enduring it again and again, finally unable to resist knocking on the door.

“Ye…” Lin Jun only managed to utter one word before swallowing the rest.

No! He couldn’t hold it in any longer!

He was going to throw up!

Lin Jun frantically pounded on the door from outside.

Open the door for me quickly! Or I’ll throw up at the door, you believe it or not!

Ye Mingyuan was startled by the ferocious pounding on the door. He only had time to turn off the water, grab a bath towel and wrap it around himself before pulling the door open.

As soon as the door opened, Lin Jun rushed in, heading straight for the sink.

The sound of rushing water rang out again, and Lin Jun leaned over the sink, vomiting with earth-shattering force.

Fortunately, he hadn’t had time to eat anything in the morning, so he only vomited up some stomach acid.

Ye Mingyuan stood frozen at the door, his fingers twitching slightly.

Ye Mingyuan had never seen Lin Jun like this.

    So it was this uncomfortable…

Ye Mingyuan clenched his fingers and turned to leave the bathroom.

The cool water suppressed the cramping in his stomach. Lin Jun scooped up cold water and washed his face several times, finally feeling a little better.

    “Take the medicine.”

Ye Mingyuan stood beside him, holding two pills in his hand.

Lin Jun took the water glass from his hand, tilted his head back, and drank it all in one gulp.

The temperature of the water in the cup was neither cold nor hot, soothing his uncomfortable stomach.

    Lin Jun: “Thanks.”

As soon as he said those words, Lin Jun paused.

That’s not right. Why did he have to say thank you to Ye Mingyuan?!

He was in this state because of this bastard!

Damn it, why isn’t Ye Mingyuan the one giving birth to this child!

Ye Mingyuan’s expression was grave: “Have you been like this all the time?”

Lin Jun shook his head, the hair on his forehead wet with water. Tiny droplets of water were shaken everywhere, like a small dog shaking its fur.

“It’s been getting worse these past few days.”

As Lin Jun spoke, he couldn’t help but shudder.

At this rate, wouldn’t he end up vomiting so much that he’d have to live on glucose drips?!

    That would be too terrifying.

Ye Mingyuan clenched his fist in silence.

Lin Jun’s face was pale, his eyes were red from the physiological reaction, and his face was still covered with undried water droplets, making him look especially pitiful.

This pitifulness was caused by him.

Ye Mingyuan reached out and picked up the towel from the side, placing it on Lin Jun’s head.

    Lin Jun: “?”

    Ye Mingyuan: “Don’t move.”

The strength in Ye Mingyuan’s hand was very light, as if he were wiping some precious work of art.

The hem of the towel swayed back and forth in front of him, and Lin Jun’s vision followed intermittently.

But the two of them were too close, and the hem of that towel was swaying in front of a bare, muscular chest.

Lin Jun’s ears, hidden under the towel, quickly turned red.

He grabbed Ye Mingyuan’s hand, which was still wiping.

    Ye Mingyuan: “?”

Lin Jun lowered his head and quickly pulled away: “I’ll do it myself.”

He said, dodging towards the door: “You take your shower, I’ll go out first.”

Lin Jun ran away in a flash, and thoughtfully closed the door for Ye Mingyuan.

Ye Mingyuan was silent for two seconds, then opened the personal terminal interface.

“Find me some books on pregnancy.”

On a distant planet, Si Zhuo saw the new message.

He scratched his head and logged onto a famous online bookstore.

    He searched for “pregnancy”.
