    Chapter 80: Don’t Come Back

When Jiang Qiu caught up, Yun Yi was wearing that suit, walking aimlessly forward.

He only glanced at Jiang Qiu lightly when he saw him coming.

Jiang Qiu grabbed Yun Yi’s hand, only to realize his fingertips were icy cold.

He didn’t ask what had happened on the second floor, nor did he ask how Yun Yi got hurt, he only said:

“Young Master, shall we go home now?”

Yun Yi exhaled softly, his fingers curling back to hold Jiang Qiu’s hand, “Jiang Qiu, hug me.”

    “Okay.”

Yun Yi rested on Jiang Qiu’s shoulder, wanting to sleep with his eyes closed.

Jiang Qiu walked under the streetlights, his steps as steady as usual. He held Yun Yi a little too tightly, always feeling that the Young Master was cold, so cold that he couldn’t be warmed up.

    “Young Master.”

    “Mm?”

“I didn’t mean to hide it from you.”

Yun Yi’s fingers curled slightly, his voice very low, still resting on Jiang Qiu’s neck and shoulder, “I don’t want to hear explanations.”

Jiang Qiu had no choice but to shut up.

    He discovered a pattern.

Yun Yi always acted like this when he was sad or had feelings of self-loathing.

Like an animal seeking a safe haven.

Jiang Qiu placed him in the passenger seat, fastened his seatbelt, turned on the heat, and drove the car smoothly home.

All the way until they stopped outside the Yun family’s villa.

Jiang Qiu thought Yun Yi was asleep, but when he reached over to carry him from the passenger seat, Yun Yi slowly opened his eyes.

His eyes were clear, without a trace of drowsiness.

He had been awake the whole way.

Jiang Qiu threw away the clothes Yun Yi had changed out of. The inner shirt was also a little damp, dried by body temperature, forming an unsightly stain.

“Didn’t Young Master say you weren’t going to the engagement banquet?”

Yun Yi sat on the sofa, his freshly washed hair still wet. He reached out his hand, and Jiang Qiu was disinfecting his wound, “If I didn’t go, how would I find out your name is Qin Jiang Qiu.”

    “…Sorry.”

The Young Master still had the mind to joke with him, so he probably wouldn’t chase him away again.

The wound on his wrist wasn’t serious. Jiang Qiu didn’t bandage it, but put two pink bandages on it. He turned Yun Yi’s wrist to look at it, a little pleased.

The Young Master was fair, and the pink suited him perfectly.

Yun Yi withdrew his hand, and Jiang Qiu went to the bathroom to get a hair dryer. As he turned around, he heard a voice from the sofa:

“With your identity, it’s a bit unfair to be by my side.”

The heart that had just settled in Jiang Qiu’s chest jumped back into his throat. He didn’t look at Yun Yi, but walked straight to the bathroom, “It’s not unfair.”

The hair dryer whirred over Yun Yi’s head, Jiang Qiu’s fingers gently running through Yun Yi’s hair.

It wasn’t until the hair dryer stopped that Yun Yi looked up and smiled at him.

The light fell into those light-colored pupils, stirring the heart of the young alpha.

Yun Yi’s face was beautiful, and gentle, but the words he spoke made Jiang Qiu feel like he had fallen into an ice cellar.

“Qin Jiang Qiu, I don’t want you anymore.”

Jiang Qiu’s pupils trembled slightly. His first reaction was to look away, as if he hadn’t heard, and the expression on his face didn’t change much.

“It’s ten o’clock, Young Master, you should go to sleep.”

Yun Yi stretched out his toe and kicked Jiang Qiu’s leg.

“Jiang Qiu, don’t come back tomorrow.”

Yun Yi’s voice was too calm, stating a fact peacefully, not like the spoiled, angry scolding when he chased him away before.

Yun Yi really didn’t want him anymore.

The Young Master really didn’t want him anymore.

“Don’t chase me away.” Jiang Qiu put down the hair dryer, knelt down, grabbed Yun Yi’s foot, his eyes flustered, his tone lowered: “Xiao Yi, don’t chase me away.”

“Xiao Yi, it was my fault for not telling you my identity…”

It was too difficult to explain, this matter was his fault in the first place.

He had so many opportunities to explain to Yun Yi, but he didn’t.

Even with all the regret, the words were stuck in his throat.

Yun Yi could feel the pain on Jiang Qiu’s face.

The two were deadlocked, Jiang Qiu just looked at Yun Yi like that, entrusting all his painful and joyful emotions to the other person.

After a long time, Yun Yi sighed softly, his fingertips on the buttons of his fleece home-wear.

He was unbuttoning it, until he was stopped by Jiang Qiu grabbing his palm when he reached the third button.

“What are you stopping me for?” Yun Yi’s tone was relaxed, “Jiang Qiu, don’t you like my body? Do it and leave.”

    “Don’t come back anymore, ever.”

Jiang Qiu was stabbed by these words, his eyes suddenly turning red.

After a long time, he lowered his eyes, leaned forward, and rested his forehead on Yun Yi’s palm.

Jiang Qiu didn’t make a sound, but his shoulders trembled uncontrollably.

Yun Yi just sat on the sofa, feeling the scorching tears falling on his palm.

    Jiang Qiu… was crying?

Jiang Qiu felt like his throat was stuffed with an unripe tangerine, making every word he spoke taste of crushed bitter and sour juice, but he had to say it, he wanted to apologize to Yun Yi, he wanted to explain.

    “Young Master, I don’t have a home.”

Besides being by Yun Yi’s side, he didn’t know where to go.

He had lost his home long ago, the year his mother died.

“Young Master, I don’t just like your body.”

He also liked Yun Yi very much, but Yun Yi didn’t want to listen.

Yun Yi really didn’t like him either.

Jiang Qiu understood too well, loving someone wasn’t like this.

Everything the Young Master did for him was to make him return to the Qin family, to overthrow the Wen family, to take revenge.

He was willing, he was willing to become a knife in Yun Yi’s hand.

“Please wait for me, I will take revenge on the people who hurt you, Young Master, don’t chase me away…”

Jiang Qiu thought he had forgotten how he felt when his mother passed away.

But at this moment, he seemed to have returned to his helpless childhood.

He couldn’t beg his mother to stay with him for a few more years. Now he couldn’t beg Yun Yi to keep him.

Yun Yi belatedly felt the pain in his wrist. He withdrew his hand, wanting to see how deep the wound was.

But as his palm was withdrawn, Jiang Qiu looked up, his usually calm face covered in tears.

Yun Yi met those red eyes.

The person who always planned everything seemed to have run out of options, leaving only tears, trying to soften the omega’s heart.

“Young Master… have pity on me.”

    “Don’t chase me away, okay?”

The Young Master was soft-hearted, and if he stayed by Yun Yi’s side forcefully, Yun Yi wouldn’t be able to do anything.

But to this day, Jiang Qiu could no longer bring himself to force Yun Yi to do anything.

Those days of forcing Yun Yi to drink medicine without changing his expression seemed to have disappeared. As light as a dream, when the dream ended, his Young Master didn’t want him anymore.

Yun Yi was as if he hadn’t heard, tearing off the bandage on his wrist, looking at the small wound.

It was so small, it shouldn’t hurt this much.

Yun Yi blinked his eyes, and handed his wrist to Jiang Qiu, “Jiang Qiu, it hurts so much.”

This sentence was like a signal to make peace.

Jiang Qiu raised his hand and held it, lowered his head and blew on it, “I’m sorry, I forgot to put medicine on it just now…”

His voice was difficult, every word he spoke with a slight sob, “Xiao Yi, I’ll put medicine on it for you again.”

After putting on the medicine, could he please not chase him away again.

After speaking, without waiting for Yun Yi to answer, he opened the medicine box, found the medicine powder and sprinkled it on gently.

    “Does it still hurt?”

Yun Yi nodded again: “It hurts.”

Jiang Qiu looked at the little bit of red helplessly, not wanting Yun Yi to be in pain at all.

He wanted to get up and walk out, saying, “Then, I’ll go find a doctor, to change the medicine.”

His palm was pulled back, “Don’t go, I’m sleepy.”

Jiang Qiu turned back and swallowed hard: “Okay.”

Yun Yi seemed as if nothing had happened, and fell asleep quickly.

Jiang Qiu lay beside him obediently, listening to the breathing of the person beside him.

He didn’t sleep all night, Yun Yi’s words of chasing him away spinning in his mind.

The next day, before dawn, Jiang Qiu left early.

As long as he couldn’t hear Yun Yi chasing him away, he could still come back at night.

At the very least, he wanted to spend this year by Yun Yi’s side.

Winter was too cold, the Young Master was afraid of the cold, he couldn’t bear to leave Yun Yi alone.
