    Chapter 45: Cannot Raise

    Yún Yì blinked, “It’s okay.”

Jiāng Qiū’s face stiffened slightly, the pain in his waist also disappeared, and three words remained in his mind. Silent grievance spread. He glanced at Yún Yì with resentful eyes.

Yì Lǐn immediately stopped being angry, clenched his fist against his lips, looked out the window, wanting to laugh but trying to hold back.

Finally, he couldn’t help it, his shoulders shaking.

    Jiāng Qiū: “…”

Yún Yì pretended not to see their interaction, the corners of his mouth facing the car window slightly curved up.

    What a pity.

Little Uncle is family, cannot raise.

Because they waited for Yún Yì to get up in the morning, the three arrived at the Yun Corporation after ten o’clock. The employees greeted them one after another.

Besides the receptionist, who was an omega, the rest of the employees at Yun Corporation were either alphas or betas.

Yún Yì stood between the two alphas, sulking.

    Was he the shortest?

Jiāng Qiū noticed Yún Yì’s mood, put his arm around his back, loosely encircling him, “Young Master, are you feeling carsick?”

Yún Yì glared at Jiāng Qiū, unwilling to speak.

Jiāng Qiū lowered his head and asked again, “Are you tired? Do you want a hug?”

His voice was soft, and they looked like they were whispering.

Others didn’t know their relationship, only seeing a tall alpha coaxing the unhappy omega in front of him, looking very gentle.

But Yì Lǐn knew. He thought of the photo he had taken earlier of Yún Yì sitting in the back seat, holding milk tea and smiling happily. He coughed lightly, “Little Yì, do you want milk tea?”

Yún Yì’s eyes lit up suddenly, looking up at Yì Lǐn, “Then I’ll trouble Little Uncle.”

    Little Uncle…

The hostility Jiāng Qiū had felt since arriving in the Third District disappeared.

    So he was an uncle.

Yì Lǐn looked at Jiāng Qiū, “Turn right after leaving the building, there’s a milk tea shop on the second street.”

Jiāng Qiū’s expression didn’t change, continuing to follow Yún Yì into the elevator, “Sorry, Director Yi, I have a terrible sense of direction.”

Yì Lǐn’s finger pressed the open door button, determined to send Jiāng Qiū away, “It’s okay, let the beta at the front desk take you.”

Jiāng Qiū pressed his tongue against his teeth.

He had dispelled his hostility towards Yì Lǐn too early.

Jiāng Qiū didn’t want to go, but Yún Yì’s round eyes were looking at him, silently urging.

Jiāng Qiū could refuse Yì Lǐn, but he couldn’t refuse Yún Yì. Under their gaze, he slowly stepped out of the elevator, looking into Yún Yì’s eyes, “Young Master, I’ll be back soon.”

Yún Yì nodded, the corners of his lips curved up, “I want five cups! Two with extra pearls, three without!”

Jiāng Qiū knew Yún Yì’s temperament, like a hamster hoarding food, he liked to buy things in large quantities, just having them around would make him happy, even if he didn’t drink them.

“You can’t.” Jiāng Qiū stood at the elevator entrance, facing Yún Yì, “We can buy more in the afternoon. They’ll spoil if they sit for too long.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the elevator doors slowly began to close.

Yún Yì didn’t speak or stop him, and Jiāng Qiū watched the omega’s face slowly disappear before him.

Only the two of them remained in the elevator.

Through the reflection on the elevator doors, Yún Yì looked at Yì Lǐn’s face, “Little Uncle, why did you send Jiāng Qiū away?”

    He could tell.

From the moment they got in the car, Yì Lǐn had forcefully made Jiāng Qiū sit in the passenger seat, and when they arrived at the company, he had ordered Jiāng Qiū to buy milk tea.

Some things couldn’t be said in the car, but they could be said in a space without Jiāng Qiū.

After all, Jiāng Qiū had the male lead halo, Yì Lǐn didn’t.

Yún Yì wanted Yì Lǐn to leave the original plot and live well. So that after he died, he wouldn’t be driven to his wit’s end by Jiāng Qiū.

    Yì Lǐn raised his eyebrows.

He knew his little nephew wasn’t just a pretty face and a fool.

He directly asked, getting straight to the point, “Little Yì, do you like him?”

Yún Yì narrowed his eyes, and countered, “Does Little Uncle also like him?”

Thinking of Jiāng Qiū’s similar height to his, and his clearly alpha face, Yì Lǐn felt a chill in his heart, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly, “I don’t like him.”

Afraid that Yún Yì would misunderstand, “A little annoying.”

Yún Yì mimicked Yì Lǐn’s raised eyebrows, “Is it because Jiāng Qiū said you smelled bad that you don’t like him? You’re so petty.”

    Yì Lǐn: “…”

He couldn’t get through to him.

He couldn’t get through to his little nephew at all.

He didn’t understand his little nephew’s way of thinking!

Yún Yì looked at Yì Lǐn’s speechless expression, and burst out laughing, “Hahaha, Little Uncle, you’re so silly!”

Yì Lǐn looked at Yún Yì helplessly, finally understanding.

The little devil wasn’t that he didn’t understand what he was saying, but that he was unwilling to answer.

The elevator gave a “ding” sound.

Outside stood a handsome, aloof-looking man, holding a file in his hand. When he saw Yì Lǐn, he presented it.

Yì Lǐn took it, his gaze sweeping over the man’s face.

The man didn’t seem to notice, taking a step back, “Director Yi, there’s a dinner with the CEO of Hai Corporation at seven tonight. Do we need to move the afternoon meeting forward?”

Yì Lǐn paused slightly, “Yes, we do.”

The man responded and walked directly towards the assistant’s office next door.

Yún Yì looked at the man’s back and blurted out, “Beta.”

    “Mm.”

    “Little Uncle likes him?”

Yì Lǐn shook his head, “I don’t like him.”

Yún Yì smiled, his finger tapping the file in Yì Lǐn’s hand, his tone pure, as if he was genuinely asking because he didn’t understand, “Is it because he also said Little Uncle smelled bad?”

    Yì Lǐn: “…”

Damn it! How could his sister, who was such a good person, give birth to a Yún Yì!

Yún Yì sat down on the sofa in the office, wanting to kick off his shoes, but he didn’t see Jiāng Qiū. He stopped his movement, leaned back comfortably, and swung his toes, casually saying, “Yun Corporation is so big.”

Yì Lǐn didn’t understand why Yún Yì would say this, since Yún Yì had been to Yun Corporation many times. He agreed, “Yeah, it’s pretty big.”

“Little Uncle, is it tiring to manage Yun Corporation?”

“I’m not tired, your grandfather is the tired one.” Yì Lǐn’s voice lowered. He wanted to take out a cigarette case from his pocket and smoke, but when he saw the well-behaved young man lying on the sofa, he stopped.

People who are craving a cigarette just want to hold something in their hands. He casually picked up a pen and twirled it in his fingers.

Yì Cóng had already passed away for four years. People nearing their end probably have a premonition.

Before his death, Yì Cóng had already taken care of everything in Yun Corporation, transferring all the shares under his name to Yì Lǐn, holding 55%, enough for Yì Lǐn to steadily control Yun Corporation.

Yún Yì had few impressions of his grandfather, only knowing that he was a rigid and stern person, but he loved his wife very much.

Yì Qīng was an only child because Yì Cóng loved his wife and couldn’t bear to let her give birth again.

But judging from Yì Lǐn’s appearance, he should care about his grandfather very much.

It’s good to have someone or something to care about.

He slightly curved his lips, “Then Yun Corporation must be very important to Little Uncle, right?”
