Chapter 37: What to Do About Yun Yi

Yun Yi nodded and yawned again, his eyes watery, but he stubbornly refused to sleep.

Aunt Zhang came out when she heard the noise, and saw just such a scene.

The young master was obediently nestled in Jiang Qiu’s arms, holding the remote control in his hand, neither pressing it nor putting it down.

The pineapple was cut into small pieces, and Jiang Qiu was feeding it to Yun Yi bit by bit. The scene was quiet and harmonious.

Aunt Zhang stopped in her tracks.

She felt like she had been wrong before.

Jiang Qiu didn’t seem to hate the young master as much as she had imagined. The carefulness in his movements and the unconcealable affection in his eyes all spoke of Jiang Qiu’s thoughts.

But what did the young master think?

Aunt Zhang wanted to go over, but Yun Yi seemed to really enjoy this state.

The meaning of an omega lying in an alpha’s arms was self-evident.

If Yun Yi hadn’t agreed, Jiang Qiu would never have held Yun Yi in his arms.

Did Yun Yi tacitly approve of it?

After thinking for a long time, Aunt Zhang retreated to her room.

Yun Yi blinked his eyes, which were almost out of his control. The remote control in his hand fell, but Jiang Qiu caught it with quick eyes and hands, so it didn’t fall to the ground and startle the person in his arms.

The action of chewing the pineapple gradually slowed down. Seeing this, Jiang Qiu put down the fork and tentatively placed his hand on Yun Yi’s lower back.

    “Are you sleepy?”

Hearing this, Yun Yi opened his eyes a crack. His chaotic mind prevented him from thinking too much. He nodded and uttered a soft Wu dialect sound from his nose.

    “Mmm… want to sleep.”

Jiang Qiu hugged Yun Yi’s waist, supporting his buttocks with his arm, and got up to go upstairs.

The first floor became quiet again, and only the half-bowl of pineapple left in the living room witnessed Jiang Qiu’s joy and Yun Yi’s defenseless reliance.

The next day, Yun Zhòngshān came early in the morning. First, he asked the family doctor about Yun Yi’s physical condition. After learning that Yun Yi’s health was a little better than before, he nodded in satisfaction.

“Take good care of Xiao Yi, it’s best if… he can be like a normal omega.”

The family doctor lowered his eyes, his gaze focused on Yun Zhòngshān’s shiny leather shoes, “I will do my best.”

Yun Yi didn’t wake up until ten o’clock. As soon as he reached the downstairs, he saw Yun Zhòngshān holding a newspaper and reading it. Hearing the sound of footsteps, he looked up. When he realized it was Yun Yi, he smiled and waved.

    “Xiao Yi is awake?”

    Yun Yi sneered.

A weasel wishing the chicken a Happy New Year.

The last time the father and son parted on bad terms became a thorn in Yun Yi’s heart, reminding him of it whenever he saw Yun Zhòngshān. He stood still on the steps, looking down at his father.

He waited in silence for the other party to continue.

Yun Zhòngshān stood up. After seeing that Yun Yi was barefoot, he frowned, “Why aren’t you wearing shoes, child?”

After saying that, he shifted his gaze and said, “Xiao Yi, do you remember the marriage I told you about last time? Something happened to the Feng family, so it’s canceled.”

“Fortunately, this marriage was only discussed verbally. If we had gone to the registry… But even if you registered, it wouldn’t matter to you. That child from the Feng family, he… cough cough.”

Yun Yi looked at Yun Zhòngshān expressionlessly, his heart filled with coldness.

The remaining words became a buzzing sound.

Yun Yi wanted to throw a hornet’s nest at Yun Zhòngshān, but the fat man in front of him was too heavy and disobedient.

    He couldn’t throw it.

He was too lazy to listen to Yun Zhòngshān’s nonsense anymore. He turned around and walked upstairs. Yun Zhòngshān called “Hey, hey” twice downstairs, “Your grandfather wants to see you, he can’t get through on the phone…”

    Yun Yi didn’t stop.

His impression of his grandfather came from the original owner. Although the old man was taciturn, he was extremely fond of this “The legitimate son” (son of the first wife). The original owner was so reckless, half of the reason was due to the old man’s doting.

But, what did the original owner’s being loved have to do with him, Yun Yi?

    However.

Yun Yi counted on his fingers and thought, the old man didn’t have much lifespan left.

It seemed to be next winter.

After Yun Zhòngshān learned from Aunt Zhang that all the servants in the villa had left, he arranged for several beta servants to go to the villa, but they were driven away by Yun Yi a few days later.

After going back and forth twice, Yun Yi directly had Jiang Qiu pack up the betas and send them to Yun Corporation, giving Yun Zhòngshān a “surprise.” After that, no more servants were sent.

Inside the Qin Corporation, Jiang Qiu washed his hands and was about to go out when he encountered He Yuètáng walking towards him.

As they brushed past each other, a piece of paper folded several times was thrown into Jiang Qiu’s pocket by He Yuètáng. Jiang Qiu pretended not to see it. It wasn’t until he entered the office that he opened it.

It contained all of Yun Yi’s test results, and He Yuètáng had made annotations behind some of the results.

The further down he looked, the more uncomfortable he felt.

Even the blood test results were out. The poison was mutually reinforcing, containing toxins that damaged the nervous system. The most obvious point was that it made people emotionally irritable and angry.

This was undoubtedly fatal to the young master.

Hisxiàntǐ glands were diseased, making him unsuitable for anger, or even extreme joy or sorrow.

But this medicine controlled Yun Yi’s emotions, so a small thing in other people’s eyes might become a fuse for emotional collapse here in Yun Yi.

Just like during this period when he stopped taking the medicine, Yun Yi was very well-behaved, would smile, would act cute, and would just turn around and walk away when he was unhappy, ignoring people.

The vicious young master was not vicious, but pitiful.

He was pitiful for being poisoned since he was a child by people who were using his vitality.

Jiang Qiu’s fingers trembled slightly. An emotion called heartache and anger spread throughout his body.

He remembered the question Yun Yi asked with a smile in his eyes.

Jiang Qiu’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he suppressed the sourness in his heart, giving an answer that came very late.

His young master would not become a star, but he was willing to avenge his young master.

Two days later, after He Yuètáng returned from his business trip, he went to see Jiang Qiu as soon as possible. His cheek had scratch marks and there was a scab on his lip.

Leaning on the sofa in the coffee shop, dangling his legs in a ruffian manner, he was completely different from his appearance in front of Qin Zhīcí, “Have you finished reading the report?”

Jiang Qiu gave an “Um” (Mm) sound.

“It’s quite difficult to treat. Let’s not talk about his glands first, just the poison in his body is difficult.”

Jiang Qiu sat opposite him, looking at the coffee with ice cubes in front of him. He recalled Yun Yi’s disgusted expression when he faced coffee. He tugged at his lips and asked straight to the point, “What do you want? Or what do you need to save him?”

“Are you so sure I can save him?”

Jiang Qiu moved his wrist, his aura changed, and he said slowly, “He Yuètáng, nominally a student of Yun family doctors, but actually a closed disciple of Elder Mu. If you can’t save him, the Allied Nations won’t find a second person.”

He Yuètáng’s face suddenly changed. He put down his legs, leaned forward, and stared directly at Jiang Qiu, “How did you know?”

“Never mind how I know, how can Yun Yi be saved.”

He Yuètáng didn’t beat around the bush and said directly, “Get the Qin family at your fastest speed and force Qin Zhīcí to step down.”

Jiang Qiu looked at the opposite side with a scrutinizing gaze, “You hate him?”

    “No, I love him.”

    Jiang Qiu frowned: “…Love him?”

“Don’t worry about this. After I go back, I’ll send you some project data from the Qin family, and I’ll also transfer the shares I got before.” He Yuètáng said and then remembered, “Don’t tell Yun Yi about this. I feel that he is definitely not as simple-minded as you think. Qin Zhīcí is vigilant, even if he hears a little bit of news, he will startle the snake.”

    “Okay.”

He Yuètáng left, and packed a cup of coffee before leaving, without paying the bill, asking the waiter to give the bill to Jiang Qiu.

After Jiang Qiu paid the money, he looked at the dark brown coffee in front of him, his thoughts heavier than ever.

Getting the Qin family was not something that could be done by just talking about it. Qin Zhīcí had been cultivated by the Qin family for so many years, and his mind and skills were among the best in the business world.

Otherwise, he would not be able to lead the Qin family to stand at the top of the Allied Nations for so many years.

It would not be easy for him to take away the Qin family silently under Qin Zhīcí’s eyes.

But if he didn’t take it, what would happen to Yun Yi.
