TVMCC Chapter 19
by VolareChapter 19: Why Not Marry Me?
The person who came was Zhang Xiaonuo, followed by Yun Cheng. After they changed their shoes, they walked inside.
Upon seeing Wen Heng and Wen Jiu, Yun Cheng exclaimed in surprise, “Wen Heng Gege, why are you here?”
Wen Heng smiled and said, “I came to see Uncle Yun.”
Wen Jiu was much more familiar with Yun Cheng. After glaring at Yun Yi, he walked to Yun Cheng’s side and coquettishly held her arm. “Little Cheng Jiejie, you’re finally here. Just now, Uncle Yun said you moved out. Why did you suddenly move out after living at home for so many years?”
The corners of Yun Cheng’s mouth drooped instantly, as if she had suffered a great grievance. “It’s because… Aiya, Xiao Jiu, don’t ask.”
“Why can’t I ask?” Wen Jiu glanced at Yun Yi meaningfully. “Did someone bully you?”
Yun Yi watched this display of hypocrisy and was immediately intrigued.
This group of people’s acting skills were even better than those in TV dramas, adding a dash of seasoning to his dull and tasteless life.
It was truly worth watching.
Yun Yi found a single sofa to sit on, while Jiang Qiu stood behind him, watching his young master prop his chin up with his hand, looking like he was ready to watch a good show.
Zhang Xiaonuo glanced at Yun Yi’s appearance and forced out two tears. She aggrievedly wiped her eyes. “Isn’t it because someone said this house…”
Yun Chongshan coughed lightly. “Don’t just stand there. Come and eat together. Wen Heng and Wen Jiu have been waiting for you for a long time.”
Wen Jiu pouted. “Little Cheng Jiejie, tell me separately later.”
“Mm…”
The good show ended before it even began, and Yun Yi immediately felt bored. However, looking at Yun Cheng’s tearful face, it seemed like a good dish to go with the meal.
Jiang Qiu kept looking at Yun Yi, even at the dining table, standing behind him.
Yun Chongshan looked at Wen Jiu and then followed Wen Jiu’s gaze to Jiang Qiu, understanding dawning in his mind. He instructed, “Jiang Qiu, don’t just stand there. Sit down.”
Jiang Qiu said expressionlessly, “The rules cannot be changed.”
“In the Yun family, I am the rule.”
Yun Yi tapped the table with his fingertip. “Jiang Qiu, if Father tells you to sit, then sit.”
Jiang Qiu remained silent for a while, then pulled out a chair next to Yun Yi and sat down.
Yun Chongshan frowned. “Xiao Jiu is the youngest here. Jiang Qiu, go sit over there so you can help Xiao Jiu pick food.”
Yun Yi wanted to laugh.
Yun Chongshan probably didn’t know that Jiang Qiu was his future son-in-law. To push him away so early, he wondered how Yun Cheng would feel when she remembered this after being with Jiang Qiu.
Jiang Qiu didn’t move, so Yun Yi ordered, “Father is the greatest in the family.”
Thus, after two seconds of silence, Jiang Qiu got up, and the chair made a harsh “screech” sound on the ground, but no one cared.
Wen Jiu glanced shyly at Jiang Qiu before quickly looking away.
Wen Heng, sitting next to Wen Jiu, didn’t show any change in expression. His attitude seemed to indicate that he didn’t care what inappropriate thoughts the alpha might have about his younger brother.
But that was also true.
An S-rank alpha was so rare.
Bringing him into the family would definitely be a great help in the future.
Unfortunately, Yun Chongshan and Wen Heng’s plans were all for naught.
Yun Cheng looked at Wen Heng and silently acknowledged this fact.
However, she couldn’t understand what Jiang Qiu meant to Yun Yi.
She originally thought that Jiang Qiu loathed Yun Yi, but it didn’t seem that way.
Yun Cheng paused and suddenly said:
“Jiang Qiu, I heard that you were looking for something in the backyard swimming pool a while ago. Did you find it?”
Yun Yi stopped eating with his chopsticks.
He raised his eyebrows slightly, ready to sit back and watch the show begin.
Jiang Qiu said, “I found it.”
Mentioning this matter made Wen Jiu feel angry. He deliberately asked, “Oh… that place isn’t often visited. How could your things fall into the swimming pool?”
After speaking, he resentfully glanced at Yun Yi, hinting, “Did someone deliberately torture you? It’s okay, my brother and Uncle Yun are here. If…”
“No.” Jiang Qiu raised his eyes and looked at Yun Yi. “Young Master treats me very well.”
Zhang Xiaonuo gasped, as if she couldn’t believe it, and looked at Jiang Qiu. “Treats you well? I heard that he made you kneel downstairs all night that day, and it was raining heavily.”
Wen Jiu almost couldn’t sit still. He was furious, looking at Yun Yi as if he were his enemy. “Yun Yi, how can you be so vicious! Aren’t you afraid of retribution for torturing the people around you like this?”
“Xiao Jiu!” Wen Heng scolded in a deep voice. “Don’t talk nonsense!”
Just as Jiang Qiu was about to speak, Yun Yi raised his eyebrow, signaling Jiang Qiu to shut up.
Receiving the signal, Jiang Qiu sat obediently in his seat, but his face became increasingly ugly, as if the person being spoken about wasn’t Yun Yi, but him.
Yun Chongshan’s face was a little dark. No matter how bad Yun Yi was, he was still his son. How could he listen to others insulting him like this? “It seems that the Wen family’s young master has a deep misunderstanding of Xiao Yi.”
Wen Heng grabbed Wen Jiu’s hand, who still wanted to speak, and explained, “My younger brother has always been kind-hearted and easily influenced by others. He must have misunderstood Xiao Yi after hearing certain words. I hope Uncle Yun will forgive him.”
Yun Yi wanted to applaud Wen Heng.
As expected of the second male lead, he shifted the blame to Zhang Xiaonuo in just a few words.
Zhang Xiaonuo was obviously not skilled enough. Looking at Yun Chongshan’s angry face, she stammered, “I… what I said was the truth…”
Seeing this, Yun Cheng quickly explained, “Wen Heng Gege, my mother has always been straightforward and loves to stand up for others. Moreover… some things are not known by others just because my mother doesn’t say them.”
Wen Jiu reacted and echoed, “Yes! I heard a lot about Yun Yi on my brother’s birthday! Even if Aunt Zhang doesn’t say it, I know!”
“May I ask, who did the Wen family’s young master hear it from?” Yun Yi smiled, with no hint of anger in his eyes, as if the protagonist being discussed wasn’t him.
He leaned back in his chair, looking at the group of fake people in front of him with a lazy posture. “If you can’t say it, what is Wen Jiu’s intention in being a beta and spreading rumors about an omega?”
“I’m spreading rumors about you?” Yun Cheng seemed to have been hit where it hurt, and he cursed loudly, “Don’t you take a look at what you are? Your Yun family is worthy…”
“Wen Jiu! Shut up!” Wen Heng’s gentle face darkened, looking more terrifying than ever before. Wen Jiu instantly fell silent, his eyes turning red.
Yun Cheng got up and walked around to Wen Jiu’s side, comforting him with a guilty expression, “It’s all my fault, Xiao Jiu. If it weren’t for you, you wouldn’t have been…”
Wen Jiu pursed his lips tightly, tears about to fall, and looked resentfully at Yun Yi opposite him. “Little Cheng Jiejie, don’t apologize to me. This matter is not your fault at all.”
Yun Yi smiled and nodded in agreement to Wen Jiu’s words, “Mm, mm! Indeed, it’s my fault.”
Seeing that the goal had been achieved, Zhang Xiaonuo laughed it off and said, “Aiya, it’s all my fault. Look, what did I say during a good family banquet…”
Seeing an opportunity to back down, Wen Heng said, “It’s Xiao Jiu’s fault. He’s still young. Let’s not be so serious with him as elders.”
After speaking, he picked up his cup and filled it with wine. “I’ll apologize to Xiao Yi on behalf of Xiao Jiu.”
Yun Yi still remembered the original character’s persona. He raised his cup, understandingly. “Wen Heng Gege is too kind.”
He took a shallow sip of tea. “However, an apology needs sincerity. Where is Wen Heng Gege’s sincerity?”
Wen Heng’s face returned to its previous gentleness, and he pondered for a moment. “I have a nice summer resort. If Xiao Yi likes it, consider it my sincerity.”
As soon as these words came out, the faces of everyone present changed.
Yun Yi didn’t care about any resort. He couldn’t take it with him after death, so it was better to exchange it for his happiness.
“I don’t like it.”
“Then what does Xiao Yi like? Just say it.”
The corners of Yun Yi’s lips curved upwards, and his eyes were cunning. “Why not, Wen Heng Gege, marry me?”
